Below Barad Nimothan(#8975Rnto)

Towering high above is the peak of Mount Nardol, one of the line of peaks along the Northern line of the Ered Nimrals used as a signal-peak. Built astride the only apparent path up to the top of Mount Nardol is Barad Nimothan, cradled in the arms of the beacon-hill and crafted of the same stone, and nearly invisible from the Great West Road where it lays off to the North.

Two sets of stables flank the sides of the path leading to Barad Nimothan\'s gates: one for the horses of the house and its guests, and one for the horses kept here to be used solely by the errand-riders of the Steward. It is a strong fortress and well placed a handfull of men could long hold it against almost any attacking force.

The sun shines brightly overhead, shedding warmth and life upon the land of Anorien.

The intermittent rains of the day have finally ceased allowing the sun to peek through the lingering grey clouds as they move through the sky. Puddles of water line the path that leads from Barad Nimothan to the stables. The strong smell of wet hay permeates the air as one draws closer to where the animals are stabled, that and the smell of the molasses that is mixed with the feed. The sound of a feminine voice can be heard lilting out of the doors of the stable, soft laughter and melodic tones as she speaks, \'Take good care of my steed, he is very special to me as my brother gifted me with such a fine animal.\"

Striding through the open doors of the stable is Lady Ivriniel, dressed in a elegant dress of rose satin. The soft colour of her dress bringing out the delicate beauty of the Numenorean woman. The long raven tresses of the sister of Imrahil are bound today and woven with tiny pearls dotting the bluish-black hair as it is pulled back into an elegant chignon. Smiling to the squire accompanying her, Ivriniel says, \"Tis a lovely day now that the rains have diminished.\"

[Thoras(#22664)] As the squire and Ivriniel come walking forth our attention is adverted to the newly squired Thoras who is leaning his cloaked back against the Gate. His green optics look up to see the Prince\'s sister arriving. Not taking it as it is the Prince\'s he pays no head and flicks the eyes back down. Idly while muching on an apple, he moves his free hand to brush his long raven-black hair from his face. Now a better look on him gives some bearing of having come from one of the lines of the lord\'s of Nimothan.

[Belahir(#28934)] Walking out of the gates towards the stable, a young man emerges with his eyes looking upwards towards the setting sun. He flashes a smile in its direction, his teeth briefly reflecting its dying rays. The young man is dressed as a scout and he walks with the grace and confidence that such a position implies. Walking towards the two that have gathered by the stable he bows deeply upon ariving and realizing who it is that he addresses. \"Good eve m\'lady.\" He turns to the squire, \"and to you good sir. May I inquire how the lady is doing this fine evening?\" He straightens and flashes a smile in Ivriniel\'s direction.

A cheerful disposition rests upon the elder Imrazor as her smile is bright and warm, \"Good day to you sir.\" Nodding her head briefly in the direction of the man that is eating the apple, Ivriniel eyes the simple elegance of the woman moving down the path and she again smiles warmly and tips her head in acknowledgement. A slight turn of her head gives her attention back to Belahir as she responds, \"But of course, you may inquire. And I thank you for the politeness of your question. The day finds me very well, thank you. And you good sir? I am afraid we did not get to converse long the other night before weariness bid me to say goodnight.\"

Thoras smiles and winks a greeting back to Keorwyn and goes back to eating his apple. He watches those appraoching from the Stable. He swallows his apple bite and looks at the cored fruit. He tosses to the side as he decides to go meet these new comers, after all it looks like she is important, she has a squire and a scout with her, even if the scout didn\'t travel with them he\'s talking to her as a noble. Straightening himself and brushing the hair back again the young Nimothan walks towards Ivriniel

[Lothanis(#29577)] A fair Daple Grey comes clopping up to the stable, a large man dressed entirely in white on its back. As a stablehand runs up and grabs the reigns. A faint smile touches the lips of Lothanis as he looks at Ivriniel and swings down from his horse. Handing the stablehand a coin and pat on the head, Lothanis turns his attention to gathering at hand. \"My Lady,\" he says bowing, \"it is good to see you.\" Turning to the others he says, \"I don\'t believe I\'ve met you. My name is Lothanis, House Bragollach, and White Squire to our illustrious prince.\"

[Kerowyn(#10288)] Close enough to hear the name of the House of the man upon the charger, Kerowyn\'s smile of warmth for the Prince\'s sister is diminished, albeit only for a moment, and she pauses yet a few paces away from the gathering to adjust skirts and hunt for imaginary dust.

Belahir nods, \"Indeed, I am afraid that we did not get much chance to converse. And I am very well this evening the sun has finally decided to rear his head, and so I am happy. Though it appears that the day is at its end,\" he says, glancing at the sky. \"That is well, for I love the night as much.\" He looks up at the man on the horse and raises an eyebrow in his direction. \"It seems, my lady, that everywhere you go, you draw quite a crowd.\"

The melodic sound of laughter rings out clearly as Ivriniel greets the new squire, a twinkle in her silvery grey eyes as she says, \"Lothanis Bragollach. How very interesting to have yet another member of the -esteemed- family in service to House Imrazor.\" A mischevious grin doth curl the corners of her lips as she inquires, \'And have you met the other members of your house that reside in Dol Amroth?\"

Turning back to Belahir, the sister of Imrahil smiles and says, \"We shall have to find a quiet place to sit and talk of Ithilien and your duties there before I return home. I am interested in the scouts and quite frankly, I am concerned at the lack of men and women with healing skills in that part of Gondor. Being so close to Harad and the ever present threat of more attacks along the coast doth bring concern me.\" Silvery orbs glance to the man and woman standing on the edge of the group and she waves them forth with one hand, \"Please, join us if you like. We are enjoying the sunshine...or at least what little is left of the day.\"

Thoras watches the introduction of Lothanis and cannot help a smirk, he clears his throat before speaking. \" My Lady, may I intorduce myself. I am Thoras, a white squire under the Prince\'s service. I have a fromal name as well, which is Thoras son of Turothil and Valen of the house of Nimothan, in which we are outside of now. Grandson of Estirion and cousin to Erinhaim, the House Lord, but unlike others I do enjoy a shorter name, which is Thoras Nimothan.\" he bows somewhat mimicking Lohtanis in a playful manner. After that he smiles and nods to the others

Lothanis accepts the introductions of Thoras, nodding. He turns and stares at Ivriniel. \"And people wonder why she draws crowds,\" he says aloud, sounding as though the comment was meant for himself. \"No, My Lady, I\'ve not had a chance to meet eveyone properly.

Belahir once again raises an eyebrow, this time at the odd playful behavior of Thoras the young squire. He mutters something just under his breath about squires and knights in general that doesn\'t sound too pleasant. He chuckles slightly to himself, though his laugh has no malice and it can be seen that he is only joking. \"Hail and well met Thoras Nimothan, and you, Lothanis Bragollach. I am Belahir, son of Beleglin, of Minas Tirith. Though now I make my home in Ithilien, for I am a Scout of Cair Andros.\" Watching Lothanis stare at the lady Ivriniel, he rolls his eyes buy says nothing.

[Kerowyn(#10288)] Overhearing the woman\'s words of a lack of trained healers, Kerowyn frowns, ever so slightly, and as yet not degning to introduce herself to the gathering of nobility, though she moves closer, as if to pass and enter the stables proper.

Ivriniel looks to the man called Thoras and bends her head in greeting, \"I bid you welcome to the brotherhood of the Swan Knights. Tis a noble and honored calling to serve the son of Adrahil.\" Blinking in surprise she inquires softly, \"You are related to Lord Erinhaim?\" Biting her lips to contain the laughter that obviously threatens to spill from her lips as she over hears the words of Lothanis, Ivriniel says with a quick motion of her hand, \"Thoras Nimothan, white squire of Dol Amroth, Belahir...,\" stopping with that she turns to Belahir and says with embarassment tinging her cheeks, \"Pardon me. What was your name again?\"

Lothanis, doing a good job of ignoring the passing Kerowyn, tears his eyes off of Ivriniel and offers his hand to Belahir. \"Well met, Sir Scout.\"

Thoras raises an eyebrow at Ivriniel \" Yes, but I did grow up with my Grandfather in Belfalas.\" he says before looking to Belahir holding his hand out as well. \" Nice to meet you Comrade.\" he says as wathing Kerowyn, he passes another wink and gives a \"I\'ll be with you in a moment, do not go away.\" look not an irritated one, just one of kindness and trying to meet everyone

[Kerowyn(#10288)] A whicker sounds from within the stables, and seeing that she is, indeed, ignored as just another visiting Rohirrim, Kerowyn slips within the stables silently. A moment later, there is a louder whicker, and silence save fore the gentle rush of brush to coat.

Belahir takes Lothanis\' extended hand in a strong grip and nods to him, mirth touching his eyes, \"Well met indeed squire.\" He then turns to the lady, \"I\'m afraid I have no last name my lady. I am not of a noble house such as yourself...I an of the family of my father, Beleglin and my grandfather Belekano.\" He chuckles as the red of embarassment touches the lady\'s cheeks. \"No need for embarassment m\'lady.\" He turns his head as Kerowyn walks by but does no more than nod his head in her direction.

Lothanis bows to the gathering saying, \"It was pleasant to meet you both Thoras and Belahir, but I must away. I have pressing business with Lord Rorgan.\" He turns towards Barad Nimothan and brushes against Ivriniel on the way. \"I hope to see you anon, My Lady,\" he says in a low voice. With that he takes fast strides away, his cape billowing in the breeze.

Ivriniel quietly watches the three men talk and introduce themselves and a look of question falls upon the blonde woman as she passes the group and enters the stables. As the words of Belahir catch her ears her attention once more returns to the group and she smiles pleasantly, \'With the noble houses of Dol Amroth being so prevalant its oft hard to remember that names are not so important when I visit elsewhere. \" Pausing for a moment she inquires, \"Have you been a scout for long? I have little knowledge of the scouts and Ithilien and do wish to learn more.\" A twinkle again lights her eyes as they find the tall squire Lothanis and she says with a twinge of amusment in her voice, \"And you. I see that one of the Knights shall have his hands full seeing to the business of squiring you.\" Shocked eyes blink in surprise as the Squire brushes against her and whispers in a low voice. Ivriniel falls silent.

Thoras can\'t help but to chuckle abit as he watches his comrade in arm\'s move. He looks to the Lady. \" My Lady, may I apologise for his actions, He shouldn\'t have treated a woman of nobility with such arrogance.\" though he can easily tell he was comming onto her. \" I dare say he shan\'t act like that to other noble women when he becomes a squire. and a knight. All women noble and common must be treated with respect in my view.\" he finishes as he watches the bold one leave

Belahir watches the tall squire stride out of the yard and he shakes his head. He glances at the Princess, turning his ever-ready raised eyebrow her direction this time. He seems as if he cannot decide whether to laugh or to be offended for the lady\'s sake. Eventually laughter wins over and he bursts out laughing at the audacity of the tall man. Between laughs he manages to struggle out, \"I agree with...with Thoras. All women should be treated....with kindness.\" For some reason he finds this hilarious. \"Methinks he has taken a liking to you m\'lady.\"

The sister of Imrahil struggles to maintain a level of respectability but falls short as laughter peals from her lips. One slender hand raises to soft pink lips to attempt to soften the laughter as it rings out and fails as her eyes begin to water. Words slip out between the laughter as she tries to compose herself, \"That one.....he....hands full. Oh my!\" Wiping the tears from the corners of silvery orbs with a white lace hankerchief she laughs softly and says, \'What a first impression to make upon you. There are some things that strike my sense of humor and the arrogance and boldness of that lad\'s actions was one. I shall eagerly await to see how he reacts once he is under the tutelage of a Swan Knight.\"

Drawing a deep breath, the scent of rose suddenly wafts through the air as Ivriniel waves the hankerchief in the air and then replaces it in the deep pocket from whence it came. Clearing her throat a bit, perhaps scratchy after such laughter she inquires, \"Shall we repair to the house and refreshments?\" Shivering slightly as she adds, \"The night air is a tad bit chilly upon my frame.\"

Thoras nods \" Yes My Lady as you wish.\" he bows and makes a walk this way sign with his arms \" May you find a good table in my cousin\'s home.\" he says smiling looking up through his raven-black locks the green optics darting to the scout. \" You too good sir, all men are welcomed.\"

Belahir\'s laughter begins to subside but when the lady breaks he cannot help himself but join in once more. At the end, he must as well wipe his eyes, because of laughter. \"Forgive me, I do not know why I am laughing.\" Eventually his mirth subsides. After the lady\'s remarks, he says, \"Were that he were a scout. He would learn some manners, or have them forced down his throat. I fear that his arrogance would not last long. When one is confronted with his own mortality every day it is hard to think oneself immortal.\" Belahir nods slowly at the suggestion to going inside, and, upon seeing the lady shiver, he removes his cloak, holds it out just above her shoulders, \"Will you permit me m\'lady?\" he asks.

A gentle smile is given to Belahir as the sister of Imrahil says softly, \"But of course, gallant scout. The warmth of your cloak is very much welcome to ward off this chill.\" Slender fingers reach for the edges of the man\'s cloak as Ivriniel pulls the proffered garment around her shoulders and wraps her hands in the heavy folds of the garment and says, \"Oh! That feels so wonderful. Thank you very much.\" Smiling brightly at the two men she says, \"Today has been the most wonderful day, tis always a pleasure to get to spend time with new found friends.\" With that she holds out one hand on the offered arm and says, \"Now, let us repair to the warmth of the house and have some refreshments. I look forward to continuing this conversation and learning more about House Nimothan and Ithilien.\"
