*Note - log submitted by Maeghan and begins with RP in progress*
Quagrok smush yuu an\' mahk puppet outta hahd, mhmm!\" the dense orc yells, swing his axe at Azragath\'s hand.
Quagrok attacks Azragath with his Axe and moderately wounds him!
Zardag sees a foe in the front line, gathering up with the other orc shamans, he charges at Aearwen. He screams a cry and slashes his scimitar at the mans throat, hoping to get his first kill.
Tagakmog shifts his spear but to ward off the incoming ae head of Galdorim\'s. With the blade out of the way the Captain dances further right hoping to get free shot past his foe\'s shield. He stays choked up in axe range hoping to run him through.
Zardag attacks Aearwen with his Scimitar and badly wounds her!
Tagakmog attacks Galdorim with his Spear and lightly wounds him!
Tarnarsh loks at the shamans noting for the most there newness to full battle. \"Violence should be shared brothers,\" she laughs cruelly pointing at a human Aearwen at the front of the lines. \"There is a tark, kill it.\" Her eyes are burning as she pulls an arrow back and aims it at the same target she has pointed her apprentices and the initaite who will lead them to.
Tarnarsh launches an arrow...
Tarnarsh\'s bowshot hits Aearwen, badly wounding her.
Aearwen turns her horse and motions for the two guards with them, \"ride behind us and protect us from the rear as Meg and I make our way back to the healing tent. Speaking softly to Meg, \"are you able to stay on your mount until we get there or do I need to have you put in the litter behind my horse?
Azragath loses his balance from the force of the hammer\'s blow, and he drops to one knee, shield held close to his face. He struggles to return to his feet, and does so, but his balance seems unsure. Head swinging from this way to that to try to keep his two attackers in view, he back-steps to try to avoid an attack by both at once.
Quagrok\'s axe collides with his own blade, but the force of it bounces right off the blade to hit his arm, the gouge drawing blood.
Rorgan\'s sword sweeps down, pushing the spear aside more as a reflex action than in any kind of active parry, and his face twists into a wild snarl as he raises his blade again and swings it downward toward the top of the Goblin\'s (Muzkgash\'s) head.
Rorgan attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword, but Muzkgash parries the attack with his Spear!
Upon his great black steed, Elphir son of Imrahil lays waste to the fell mass of wretched Yrch with mighty swings and lightning-quick thrusts of his shining sword. \"Amroth!\" he cries as he spits the throat of an orc like an apple on a spit. \"Amroth for Gondor!\" He parries an awkward hack from a rather large orc with an axe, and sends the axe spinning from the orc\'s grip. A knight behind him makes quick work of Elphir\'s leftovers.
Galdorim winces slightly as the spear head grazes his shield arm. He cries out as he looks arngerly down at the uruk-hair. \"Ya shall pay fer day Orc!\' He attempts to press int he attack against he orc captain and strike at his leg.
Galdorim attacks Tagakmog with his Axe, but Tagakmog parries the attack with his Spear!
The group of mighty trolls begin to jog, more or less, as the fray begins, hacking the oncomming soldiers to bit, taking whatever blows manage to strike them easilly. Their gold, red, and eyes of other hue shine brightly in the night with their battle-rage. As the troll-soldiers come further into the battle, they begin to spit up, going after the more experienced soldiers. Darkash, for one, comes after Indilzar at a full run, giant axe held high as he makes for a sharp downward attack at the busy human.
Springing forward, but one of the many amongst the black host, the crook-legged Grishnakh ever makes his way towards the front of the lines -- where the very battle rages now and the army of Mordor has begun to consume in death their prey. He is a black shape, a shadow that slides through the masses and finds its way to the fringes of the war, kept even silent in his movements, ever diligent in his watch, one would be amazed at his speed as his squat legs carrying him so far and so fast. Holding firmly his saber and shield, he offers the lads no words of encouragement, no final plans or plots (which his mind is often full of) but instead lets the Sergeants, Captains, and Lieutenants hold firm their reign against the horde: for now all goes well and as planned.
Coming up suddenly towards one of the mounted figures of Gondor, a man who is shrewd and often captured in the attention of his troops, he recognizes the tall shape of Indilzar as a leader and commander of his own group. The time to strike thus draws near at hand, and he has chosen this man as his target, his schemes ever working in their purpose.
Unseen by the Prince in the fray, the great troll nears him and strikes a mighty blow -- and then does Imrahil turn, but too late, for he wards off the blow with his shield, only to have the hammer slide off the face off the metal and land against his shield arm. A sharp breath and a grimace, and yet the Prince utters no sound. And even as his steed rears and strikes out with its iron-shod hooves, Imrahil raises his blade and hews at the trolls\' shoulder.
Mardahk looms over his opponent, the very embodiment of the encroaching Shadow. His voice, when it issues forth once more, is commanding, and his eyes are stern. \"Tarry not in this place, man of Gondor. Your weapon is impotent, for the full might of Sauron is manifest this night. We shall not be denied conquest. Flee, or be stricken down where you stand.\"
The pale blade manifests once more, arcing downward as if falling from the blackened sky.
Darkash attacks Indilzar with his Battle Axe and badly wounds him!
Mardahk attacks Cordan with his Longsword, but Cordan parries the attack with his shield!
Quagrok grins as he runs towards Azragath, swinging his might lumberjack\'s axe upward and to the right, aiming to catch Azragath\'s thigh, the eyepatched armed chuckling as he does.
Imrahil attacks Trakarg with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.
Aearwen cries out as the arrow pierces her left shoulder, gritting her teeth, she continues on across the bridge, determined to make it to the healing tent. Barking out at the guards, \"faster before you lose your healers\" Spurring her horse she holds onto the reins with her right hand, blood soaking down the front of her gown.
Maeghan gallops faster across the bridge, after Aearwen..
Osgiliath: The Great Bridge - Western Section
Here is the westernmost end of the once great bridge of Osgiliath, which spanned the Anduin in happier times. Once a place of wonder and splendour, with proud homes and palaces built astride the cobblestones, all that remains now are ruins dark and cold. The sound of a rat skittering by may startle you for a moment, but otherwise all is still in the air, and only the smell of decay and rot lingers.
As night has fallen upon the ruins, all now is dark and cold, and holding with it a feel of sinister watchfulness, as though a thousand eyes are focused upon you. The torchlight reveals little about you, but one is able to descry east along the bridge and on into the darkness for some hundred paces. West the sight is different, for just upon the western end of the bridge is lit dozens of flaming campfires, which signal a large force of me camped thither.

Muzkgash widens his eyes in fear, as he sees the honorable human blade sweeping toward his head. But evidently, he sees it before it is too close, and swings his spear upwards, the thick, strong handle taking the brunt of the blow. Then, his face is a jeering expression again. \"Try human! Try!\" He snickers, an ugly, crude sound, then swings his spear backwards, and to the side, at Rorgran\'s throat. \"Die human!\"
You head west past the Gondorian guards and into the encampent of the Osgiliath Garrison.
Osgiliath: Western Ruins - Gondorian Garrison
A dozen watch-fires are kindled amidst the ruins of the former glory of Osgiliath, and the same number of black-clad men of Gondor patrol the camp, watchful in the encroaching darkness.
Pennons attached to the tops of the tents snap sharply in the brisk wind. The bright jewel of Earendil\'s star shines far to the west. Eastwards, Varda\'s jewels seem to dim to a grey nothingness hovering above the Ephel Duath, the black wall of rock to the east.

Obvious exits:
Aearwen slides from her horse, more concerned about Meg than herself. as she pulled the arrow out. Running over to her horse, she helps her down.
Maeghan slides off of the horse and says tightly, \"To the tent, we will heal ourselves..\", she barks an order to the other healers to dress their wounds, as she herself walks into the tent. Though her bleeding is fierce, she remains standing and doesn\'t \'appear\' faint. Though her skin is becoming increasingly pale and pallid.
Aearwen takes in Meg\'s pale face and speaks softly, for her ears only, \"Please sit and let me dress your wound. Give yourself some time to rest and compose before the wounded men get her Meg. We all need you \"
Maeghan nods, \"The same goes for you Wen....\"
Maeghan frowns faintly, \"Wen, lay down...you are not well, that arrow hit you worse then mine did me.\", she glances at the bandage around her shoulder..
Aearwen grabs at the back of the chair and sways on her feet, the loss of blood suddenly making her head swim. Looking at Meg, with weak, pain filled eyes she says, \"get one of the men to help me, suddenly I am not able....slumping to the ground, her face pale.

Rorgan grunts again as the Goblin\'s spear blow penetrates armor, but he holds fast, pressing his horse closer to the twisted creature in an attempt to relieve the Goblin of some of the advantage in reach he has obviously been enjoying with the spear. As Rorgan\'s horse presses closer to the Goblin, Rorgan swings down toward the top of the Goblin\'s head again, this time the the pommel of his sword.
Cordan turns back to his opponent and points a blade at him, \"You will never take anything of Gondor, you hear me, NEVER!\"
Tarnarsh launches an arrow...
Tarnarsh\'s bowshot hits Galdorim, lightly wounding him.
Rorgan attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword and mildly wounds him!
Nogurlok charges at the human, battle axe high above his shoulder. The rage burning deep within his eyes bringing them deep red. \"Da Eye will prevail.\" The sergeant shouts out above the clamor. He brings his axe down crushingly towards the chest of Cordan as he points off at Mardahk.
Fortuantly for tagakmog the spear is a lengthy weapon and in moving to arry a feint ot the head is also present to ward a blow to the side. Galdorim\'s blow so warded the orc deigns not to retreat to spear distance again but instead takes the spear as a staff and tries to brain the close trak with its shaft.
Cordan turns back toward the orc from earlier and readies his longsword, knowing that he better be able to defend himself exceptionaly well.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe, but he misses by a mile.
Elphir removes another of the vile orcs of its loathsome life with a swift cut, and he is barely showing any emotion at all. Hack, slash. Left, right. Like a scythe through chaff is his sword, which shines more black now then bright silver, so covered in the enemy\'s blood is it that the metal can scarce be seen. Black blood sprays up in his face from his latest casualty, but he sees the enemy\'s scimitar through the gore as the blade flashes quicky at him, and he raises his shield to block. The heir of Dol Amroth is quick to return the blow, a stab aimed right at the throat of his attacker while his shield holds off the sea to his left as best it can.
Tagakmog attacks Galdorim with his Spear and moderately wounds him!
Elphir attacks Grishnakh with his Longsword and lightly wounds him!
Darkash lets out a soft grunt, more of annoyance than anything else, as Indilzur\'s blade strikes the stone beast in the head, the blow largely deflected by the beast\'s giant metal helmet. Taking up his axe in one hand, the beast simply throws it, spinning end over end, at the human warrior.
Arrow after arrow flies forth from the Easterling archers into the fray. Zhamik narrows his eyes as one of his misses its mark. Once again he takes the time to moisten his bowstring before notching the arrow to it. He pulls back and lets the arrow fly. Beneath him, his mount bobs its head, whinnying loudly.
Darkash\'s battle axe throw hits Grishnakh, moderately wounding him!
The battle axe lies now upon the ground now at his feet.
Zhamik launches an arrow...
Zhamik\'s arrow flies wide, doing no harm.
Shlakhi\'s eyes look across the enemy llines, searching for an enemy... He then notices that Tark his mistress was shooting at... that one will be his target... So he runs across the orc lines towards that Tark at all speed
Maeghan returns, shoulder heavily bandaged with two guards. Her horse stands on the bridge, well out of arrow shot, and scimatar strikes
Cordan winces as the axe barely misses him, he then smiles and brings his longsword down, \"This is the end of the line, none of your kind will harm anyone again.\" With that he charges his blade at the orc, coming in to try and wound him.
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword, but Nogurlok parries the attack with his Battle Axe!
The blow of Rorgan\'s sword hits the Goblin\'s head, glancing off the helmet, though dizzying Muzkgash, and clashing the helm over his eyes. He takes a step back, advantage obviously lost with just this one blow. Pushing his helm up, he shakes his head, face neutral, expression none save that of determination. He swings his spear wildly, almost crazily at the chest of Rorgan, hoping that it will reach the flesh,
Muzkgash attacks Rorgan with his Spear and lightly wounds him!
The lieutenent of Dol-Guldur, tek\'rak to the orcs, comes to another swing at his foe, though the sword strikes, this time entering his rib cage fully. This time there is no growl, no bellow of pain, just a look upon his face. His eyes widen and his mouth opens to yell, though it manages not, for black blood begins pouring out of it. It is then that Zugwequjet falls to his knees, the shocked look still upon his eyes. He then falls, his body falling backwards and there he lies. The blood flow slowly stops and he coughs loudly, speaking uninteligable words even to the orcish horde, though the fate of this one is worse, for he seems to stay concious for some reason, left there to endure that horrible pain before the immenent death.
Examining the wounds on Quagrok, Drakarg opens some more pouches. \"These are bad. Very bad. This will not feel good.\" He pours a little powder onto the wound on Quagrok\'s neck, then pours some more onto a piece of skin he removed from his tunic. He squeezes the juices of a green plant onto the skin, then ties it to the wound with some torn cloth from his sleeve. \"There. That should stop the bleeding from THAT wound.\"
Tarnarsh grins as the arrow finds its mark but then looks out across the field, again seeing the form of Rorgan int the crowd attacking her old veteran companion Muzkgash. Tarnarsh flicks the arrow in a practised way towards the human while her eyes continue searching for an opponent worthy of her skills.
Galdorim is struck by an arrow wich causes his guard to open up tot he thrust of the spear. He criesout in pain as he his tickled witht he spear head. He punches his shield towards the midsection of Tagakmog as he swings his large axe at his hip.
Galdorim attacks Tagakmog with his Axe and moderately wounds him!
Tarnarsh launches an arrow...
Tarnarsh\'s bowshot hits Rorgan, moderately wounding him.
Quagrok continues to sit on the ground despondently as Drakarg treats his wounds, flinching a tad as the medicine is applied. \"At lahst tarkie dat huurt Quagrok iz dahd, mhmm. Ah lahk killin\' trees, mhmmm. Gar har har har. Dar. Ar\" he mumbles as he looks about in his single eye, slightly dizzy.
Shlakhi now reaches Galdorim, dagger in front, and tries to thrush it at the man\'s thigh...
Nogurlok quickly snaps the battle axe down, which brings the sword pointing down with it. Pulling it back up at the tark\'s shoulder. \"It be ye wil never poison da earth wit yer taint hooman.\" He screams.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe, but Cordan parries the attack with his shield!
Shlakhi attacks Galdorim with his Dagger, but he misses by a long shot.
As Rorgan reaches back to deal the Goblin in front of him a deathblow, the Goblin\'s spear finds an opening between his shield arm and body, again penetrating his armor and producing a grunt from the man as yet another arrow finds its mark in the man\'s right leg. Ignoring both wounds the best he can, he swings again at the Goblin (Muzkgash), now nearly back out of his reach.
Rorgan attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword and mildly wounds him!
Tagakmog is struck and unbalanced by the unexpected shield thrust and then so too by Galdorim\'s axe as it counters with his axe to the orc\'s unprotected hip. Kersmash goes the bladed end against the mail armor driving links into the side of Tagakmog. \"Greer!\" he grimaces in pain, stepping away from the foe. He steps back again and licks his spear across Galdorim horizontaly hoping to scar his foe.
Cordan quickly bring\'s up his shield, \"It is you who are the destroyers,\" he quickly spins around and attempts to stab his opponent as hard as possible.
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword, but Nogurlok parries the attack with his Battle Axe!
Slash carries Quag off the battlefield behind mordor lines
Tagakmog attacks Galdorim with his Spear and mildly wounds him!
Galdorim looks at the orc with the dagger. He shakes his head as he moves so he can see both opponents. Rocks land near his and bounce off his shield as he sweeps his axe at the axe at Shlakhi\'s chest.
Grotblug has reconnected.
Galdorim attacks Shlakhi with his Axe and badly wounds him!
Zhamik curses, then lifts his eyes. In a loud voice, he addresses the wind. \"
Tarnarsh notes the Tek\'rak go down and with a sudden burst of activity her bow is on her back and she finds herself wading through the hosts attempting to reach him. Her eyes brun crimson fire as she angrily draws a long ceremonial dagger from her robe and fends off any stupid enough to approach the irrate shamaness as she runs through the tussling forces.
The balanced, well aimed swing from Rorgan\'s Longsword pays off, it finds its mark, which happens to be in Muzkgash\'s chain mail. Though, it does not go all the way through, instead producing a bruise, almost instantly. With a grunt, the Uruk slices his spear almost vertically, at Rorgan\'s wounded thigh.
Muzkgash attacks Rorgan with his Spear and lightly wounds him!
Zhamik launches an arrow...
Zhamik\'s bowshot hits Mardahk, badly wounding him.
Ignoring the screaming, fighting and general chaos around him, Drakarg concentrates on his task of healing. Examining the wound on Quagrok\'s stomach, Drakarg mumbles something and pours an entire pouch of powder into the wound, then pours another pouch onto the skin, mixing in the juices from three green plants. Tying the skin onto the wound with more cloth, Drakarg yanks the cloth tight around the skin and wound.
Tagakmog gllefully chuckles as one of morgul\'s shaman\'s takes his foes attention away from him for a brief enough moment to allow the orc captain to charge with running feet at his foe. The spear starts low but the spearuruk sweeps it up for the final blow.
Not back, but indeed, forth the Prince rides, turning his shield, and the haft merely strikes it a glancing blow ere sliding off. Swiftly he glances at those around him, \"Draw back! Draw back a few paces!\" and even as he speaks, he swings the mithril-hilted sword, the blade flashing chill and fierce as it sweeps towards the troll\'s neck.
Tagakmog attacks Galdorim with his Spear and moderately wounds him!
Imrahil attacks Trakarg with his Longsword and mildly wounds him!
Again the sergeant Nogurlok parries the blow. The shot however forces him off to the left of the tark. \"For da eye!\" he screams again, the voice\'s attempt at common tounge is pathetic. As he yells out he brings his axe down towards the tark\'s arm.
Slash throws as many rocks as will fit in his tiny little hand at Galdorim.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe, but he misses by a handspan.
The crook-legged Grishnakh is unable to fend off the coming attack of Elphir, and although he does redirect it, its damage being far less than one might surmise, it does great harm to his breast as it impales his right most side -- sliding through his mail and drawing forth a fountain of ink-like blood that fizzles and bubbles before rolling downward towards the ground below. Yet, this is not the only injury that the commander of these uruk forces receives, for from behind him wails an axe -- thrown by one outside his vision -- only to ram into his side and there impale his gut with a crunching *thwack.* Howling in pain, his slivers narrowing into but lines within his terrible skull, he brandishes his fangs in anger as he quiets himself. Hugging closely then his shield, his saber too being drawn closer to his side, his next attack is weak and pitiful. Done with little strength, but more of a test -- his mind reeling at the moment with new information and the dry wish for revenge against the other assailant.
Grishnakh attacks Elphir with his Scimitar, but he misses by an arm\'s length.
Slash picks up a very jagged rock and juggles it in his hand.
Slash he then throws the rock as hard as he can at a human soldier hoping that his aim is true.
Indilzar slips and kicks a rock over in the direction of Slash\'s eye.
Another wound is opened in Rorgan\'s thigh, and he wheels his horse to present his enemy a view with much less blood in it, even as he wheels his horse, he strikes down again at the Goblin, attempting to regain the advantage that has now slipped away from him once again.
Zardag seeing the great Azragath fall from his attack, is over come with rage. His foes blood running down the blade, he cleans it on dying mans face. Looking down into his eyes he gives out a frigntening laugh. Then letting out a defening cry to those around, high on his first kill and brings his scimitar high above his head. Then, in the dark of night, he brings it down with all his might, slicing through the mans throat. The blood flows onto the ground, staining it a devilish looking crimson. Then looking around, he spits on the corpse and mutters, \"Stupid tark, shouldn\'t a messed wit da Eye.\" Then he takes the proof, the mans own weapon, and stabs it through he mans gut. Then rips it out, keeping his proof for stories many nights to come. Then, as if the orc has not shown enough disrespect he walks across the beaten, bloody man, to once again join the frey, hoping to have the feeling of a god once more.
Galdorim grimaces as the spear grazes his arm again. Blood is slowly covering the Master Sergeant as he moves away from the spearman and brings his axe down on the shaman again.
Cordan becomes extremely angry as the axe zooms past him, he then raises his blade and screams, \"For Minas Tirith, and for Gondor.\" He then brings the longsword done as fast as possible trying to sever his opponent\'s shoulder.
Quagrok climbs slowly to his feet, saying \"Tahnk yuu shumahn\" as he shuffles off the battle field, mumbling slightly as wades through the chaos.
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword and lightly wounds him!
Rorgan furiously attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword and lightly wounds him!
Slash get\'s a cut under his eye.It should heal without a scar.It will just take time.
Badger steps over the body of a badly mangled Gondorian. He chuckles as he walks through over the bridge, swinging his axe and preparing for battle. In the last few yards between him and the battle front he picks up his pace, slowly building speed as he raises his axe to strike. He moves towards a dark haired Swan Knight, preparing to strike Elphir. He eyes Grishnakh\'s attack on the young prince. He swings his axe to aid the Uruk-Hai, coming from Elphir\'s right side.
Two HEAVILY armed guards accompany Maeghan as she dashes out to the front of the Gondorian lines atop a HUGE warhorse. One of the guards protects as the other grabs up Azragath and rolls him onto the litter. Maeghan urges her horse back towards the bridge with Azragath on the litter in tow, and the two HEAVILY armed guards, fighting the various nasties allowing Meg to get back to safty.
Badger attacks Elphir with his Battle Axe, but he misses by a handspan.
The axe cuts deeply into the poor orc\'s leather armor, slashing a major wound into Shlakhi\'s chest. This throws the orc aback, completely stopping his momentum and throwing him to the ground, great quantities of blood pouring from his chest... Yet he still can try a rather weak swing upwards to the human.
Indilzar turns in the mayhem and sees Azragath upon the ground. He heads in that direction. Yet even as he does so he spares a blow toward Darkash, trying to force his way through.
Indilzar attacks Darkash with his Greatsword and lightly wounds him!
Slash throws a handful of rocks at the horses face hoping to scare it.
Shlakhi attacks Galdorim with his Dagger, but he misses by a mile.
Galdorim attacks Shlakhi with his Axe and severely wounds him!
Muzkgash howls in pain as Rorgan\'s Longsword bears down upon him, slicing into his uncovered left arm. \"Skai!\" He snarls, voice raspy and deep. he gnashes his teeth, leaning forward and slicing his spear furiously at Rorgan, at his shoulder\'s underside.
Zugwequjet remains almost motionless upon the battle-field, the blood now clear almost of his mouth, letting the quiet moans of pain he could manage be heared. Not seeming to notice anything the tek\'rak begins to shift in his place, the feaver posessing him as he starts to mummble, \"Yes, destroy, kill those tree huggers, bring dol-guldur back to our control.\" he speaks, the words meaningless, and hardly heared. Blood now stains the ground completely below him, causing a black stain and dribble of drops amid the rocks.
Muzkgash attacks Rorgan with his Spear, but he misses by an arm\'s length.
One eyebrow cocked, the fell Emissary of Barad-dur, Mardahk, surveys the battlefield. Here and there, his blade slashes outward, but inflicts no fatal wounds an eye, an arm, a leg, feel the bite of steel forged in the fires of Orodruin. Bodies fall forward, but not dead only moaning in agony as blood seeps between the stones of the bridge.
Abruptly, his rampage as ended, as an arrow embeds itself - In his back. Lurching forward, he grunts in rage, pain, and confusion. A hand reaches up to tear the arrow out, and when he stands once more, his eyes are ablaze. Singling out the battle closest to him, he howls and his blade gleams in the air.
Mardahk attacks Elphir with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.
Zhamik launches an arrow...
Zhamik\'s bowshot hits Elphir, lightly wounding him.

Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword and moderately wounds him!
Indilzar is hurled back to the ground and he shakes his head in a bloody haze. He begins to creep himself up, touching his head through the helm in pain as he tries to make his way west.
Slash rips a piece of his shirt off and makes a sling.Slings some rocks enemy soldiers.
Rorgan moves his horse again closer to where the man known as Azragath had fallen, but he takes not his eyes from the enemy now to his left as the spear blow goes wide of its mark, and he slashes downward again, becoming ever more businesslike in his thrusts and twists, but as soon as the blow falls, Rorgan is struck by a fourth arrow, this time in his exposed left leg, and his horse rears as the shaft pierces through his leg and into horseflesh as well.
Indilzar tries to flee from Darkash, but he fails!
Gash looks down at the small stoned rat and thinks \"dirty baskilis\" picks up the stoned rat and throws it at galdorim hoping to wallop him good
Rorgan attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword, but he misses by an arm\'s length.
\"Retreat, Braggollach!!\" shouts the son of Imrahil as he sees the knight knocked from his horse. \"I shall cover your retreat!\" Elphir maneuvers his horse toward Indilzar, whom Grishnakh had been fighting but recently, knowing full well that he will be set upon by even more enemy by doing so.
Quagrok continues to stagger through the chaos, leaning against the side of the metal bridge and sitting down, near the rear of Uruk lines, groaning at his wounds.
Slash slings another rock at Galdorim.
Nogurlok is caught by suprise with the stab to the back. The point of the sword is deflected by the armor, but it still drives into the side of his lower back. Without much care he brings the battle axe around low, swinging for the tark\'s knees.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe and moderately wounds him!
The tek\'rak slowly chews the herb, and coughs loudly as he swallowes them, blinking and shifting, still concious though deeply possessed by the fever. \"Don\'t let them take the fortress. Don\'t let the tarks take sarn goriwing...\" he says before finally passing out, the blood from his wounds still flowing and his eyes slowly closing, though not in death, but finally in unconciousness.
Muzkgash jumps backwards as a thrust nears his throat. He laughs, a cackling sound, and then shakes his head, dancing to the left, loking upwards. His speartip is launchged towards Rorgan\'s side once more, this blow attempting to knock the tark off his horse. It is a furious strike, one intended to do more harm
Muzkgash attacks Rorgan with his Spear and mildly wounds him!
Badger growls as Elphir bats away his attack accidently. He twists and swings again at the Prince. An arrow catches him in the shoulder causing him to halt his swing for a momment. He lets out another growl and looks for Elphir once more, who has moved to protect the Bragollach. He charges Elphir and attacks again, swing his axe blade towards the mid of his chest.
Badger attacks Elphir with his Battle Axe, but he misses by a handspan.
Yet further West the Knights draw back, their Prince among them, for the troll\'s blow goes astray yet again, seeking, but not finding his flesh. And now, before the Mordain host, the Knights of Amroth draw up their line -- wounded and weary, and yet proud and defiant. And Imrahil calls in a great voice, \"
Beofre he had a chance to come around to block, Cordan falls from the hit of the axe, he quickly rolls face up and gets on his knees, bringing his blade forward to attempts a brutal stab at the Orc\'s stomach.
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.
Zhamik gazes at his bow with a curious expression on his face, then toward those his arrows pierced. He frowns thoughtfully.
Rorgan grunts again as his horse\'s rearing has caused the Goblin\'s spear blow to be absorbed mostly by his armor. He wheels about and throws a downward, backhanded blow toward Muzkgash with a furious cry, \"Begone you beast!\"
Even as Elphir moves closer to his compatriot, Mardahk slinks forward, finding himself side by side with Badger. \"Well met,\" he grunts, but pays no more attention to the Easterling, for he is fully focused on the blow he delivers.
Rorgan attacks Muzkgash with his Longsword and severely wounds him!
Nogurlok slides to the right carefully avoiding the humans stab. He brings his axe high and then swings it back down towards his oppenents shoulder, \"Ya will feel da venge of da eye!\"
Mardahk attacks Elphir with his Longsword, but he misses by a handspan.
This attack brought against him by Elphir, a feint more than a strike, is caught within the crimson slivers of the broad, but squat, form of Grishnakh. As the blade of the man whistles downward, cutting through the air with a soft and melodic music as the wind rushes faintly by it, the Vorazg is soon quick to raise his own scimitar in order to deflect the blow. In a instant, for just one moment if all time could be held still and silent, the two blades of the warriors meet in action and send forth a single blue-flared spark that tumults to the earth below only to singe the sleeping stone. Snickering, the commander soon, however, disengages his weapon, pursuing his enemies right most flank -- his allies now growing by the instant -- and swinging once more for this leader\'s legs he strikes now swiftly in his own manner, the blow curved and diagonal with some thought in its motion to encourage it to hit.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe, but Cordan parries the attack with his Longsword!
Grishnakh attacks Elphir with his Scimitar and moderately wounds him!
Galdorim grimaces as he is lightly poked again. He hears the call of retreat as he backs off bringins his shield to protect his body. He steps over fallen orc as well as Gondorians as he makes his ways back towards the fortifications to the west.
Cordan pulls his longsword up and then begins to hold the ax as he stands and then pushing the axe away he takes a fierce swing with all his might.
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword, but Nogurlok parries the attack with his Battle Axe!
Tarnarsh growls as the fighting parts momentarily again and allows her to let off a final arrow towards the human Rorgan before the bustling crowds force her to flee for higher ground to get a cleaner shot at one of the more prominent figures among the humans.
Tarnarsh\'s bowshot hits Rorgan, moderately wounding him.
Gash grabs an arm and begins to drag along wil slash off the field
Growling at Indilzar\'s attempt to escape, Darkash makes for another attack, this one a sharp downward strike, the beast using the whole of it\'s bodilly force. Not regarding the other human who comes toward the duelling pair, the beast strikes hard!
Darkash attacks Indilzar with his Battle Axe, but he misses by a handspan.
Muzkgash cries out in pain as the Longsword swings towards his neck, entering it. Fortunately, the Goblin had his back slightly bent, so the blade of the human\'s sword didn\'t quite enter the Goblin\'s throat.
Thick, toxic blood spills from the neck of Muzkgash, down his chest, onto the battlefield. But the creature continues fighting, for the Eye! The glorious Eye! He swings widly now, not caring who he does damage to, as long as it is a tark.
Muzkgash attacks Rorgan with his Spear, but Rorgan parries the attack with his shield!
Nogurlok laughs with his gargled tone. \"Week tarky!\" The buff uruk steps back from the swing of the sword and again steps foward bringing the axe down towards Cordan\'s shoulder.
Slash helps drag Zug off the field.
Indilzar is heedless and in a daze. Through whatever fortune is deigned upon him by whatever will, he finds himself behind the line of knights. He creeps up on his feet and steadies himself for a moment, looking on to the east.
Nogurlok attacks Cordan with his Battle Axe, but Cordan parries the attack with his shield!
The fighting orcs of Mordor are encouraged by the Knights\' slow, gradual withdrawal, and urged ever forward by the pressing masses of more soldiers behind them. Trakarg pauses in his own advance, raising his hammer threateningly overhead as he watches the forming of Imrahil\'s ranks through narrowed eyes. \"
Cordan quickly brings his shield up and block as he forces his sword forward, \"I am not weak!\"
Cordan attacks Nogurlok with his Longsword and moderately wounds him!
Galdorim steps behind the line of knights as makes his way back tot he fortifications to organize his troups.
Trakarg attacks Imrahil with his War Hammer, but Imrahil parries the attack with his shield!
Rorgan, now beginning to look like one of the pincusions in his tailor shop, turns his horse, fending off yet another blow from the Goblin\'s spear with his shield, he turns away from the battle, the ranks closing back in around him as he makes his retreat.
Leaping off her horse, despite her wounded shoulder, Maeghan gets Indilzar onto the litter along with another wounded man and takes them both across the bridge to the healers tent.
Coming through the barracade his Galdorim. His arms and legs are covered with blooks as wella s some flowing down his chest. He look weaky and weak, but he moves to his men that are held back and starts to organze the defence of the fort. \"Ya men, we are retreatin!\" He looks at the tent of the healer and blinks as he sees Aearwen and Maeghan both wounded. \"Healers! Take da wounded en da fort now!\"
Maeghan nods as she does so, saying briskly, \"Of course we are sir...\", she and the others continue to carry the wounded men into the tent. She then turns to Galdorim and says, \"You...inside...you won\'t be much good until you are fixed up as well...\", she turns and goes to recieve more wounded...
Rorgan wearily rides from the battle, half slumped over the neck of his horse. Arrows stick out of his blood-soaked body, and his sword hangs loosely in his hand as he enters the camp, his horse automatically heading toward the healer\'s tent.
Indilzar walks into the encampment. Blood covered and an arrow piercing his shoulder. He finds a log and seats himself.
Maeghan gestures and one of the healers goes to Rorgan and takes him to the healing tent where they begin treating his wounds...
Galdorim shakes his head. \"nah M\'lady. I \'ave ta \'elp da men retreat den ya can report ta ya.\" He looks at Rorgan and smiles as he sees he is making his way tot he healers. He then moves back to the barracade to wait for the rest of his troups.
Rorgan protests anyone removing him from his horse, as both legs are pierced clean through by arrows. He bleeds from another wound in his right thigh, has an arrow in his left arm, an arrow sticking out of his back, and an arrow in his right calf.
Aearwen moves to help the first of the men coming over the bridge. Her shoulder bandaged and her face pale. Moving to where Galdorim stands she says, \"you need to be treated, please, come and let the healers start working on your injuries.\"
Cordan slowly staggers in and then falls down on one knee, he appears to be alive, but barely.
Maeghan says softly to a page, \"Take care of Rorgan\'s horse...make sure it is throughly rubbed down...\", she continues to direct the healers to take the wounded into the healing tent, and it is clear that in this territory Maeghan is boss, and is quite in her elemant. Her shoulder is bandaged heavily and is stained pink with blood. Her face is pale, making her red hair stand out even more then usual. But her eyes are still glittering with livliness...
Indilzar passes out, slumped into the log his helm rolls off his head.
.
A horse in the distant makes no sound as the echoes of the battle reaches even to this place, however the rider of that horse does make his way slowly into the area. Melethron, atop his steed, though his arm is held to his body by a tight wrap of bandages but still he seems steady, and oddly enough, ready for a fight. His armor once more upon his body, the young squire rest his hand atop the hilt of his massive hammer which hangs down from it\'s resting place upon the left side of his saddle. The steady clip-clop of hooves seems to go unnoticed as he approaches, but he does not slow one bit even as a healer walks towards him. \"I have come to do my duty,\" he says firmly to the woman who insist that he get down, \"And I will not let something so menial stop me from that.\"
Galdorim looks at Aearwen. You can see the disappointment and remorse in his eyes as he sees that she is wounded. He says in a controlled voice. \"I em better dan most. Ya use her abilities on da ones dat need et more. I am needed \'ere.\" He walks towards Cordan > \"Ow are ya private?! \"
Cordan shakes his head, \"Not to good,\" he slowly gets up staggering a bit, \"I took a heavy wound to the shoulder, and to the chest, I\'m lucky to be alive.\"
Maeghan gasps softly as she sees Indilzar slump over. She calls for one of the larger healers to help her get him into the tent, where he is gently laid on one of the pallets. Maeghan looks torn, but knows she cannot forgo her duties. She whispers softly, \"I will return...\", looking at the others she orders, \"Take care of him immediately...\", she turns and heads back out to continue directing the healers and helping where she can..

Indilzar stirs up to consciousness again and waves off the healers, \"There are others in greater need. Let the Bragollach be last to recieve aid.\"
The young man who is tending to Indilzar looks down at him and says with a faint smile, \"The Lady Maeghan would chop off my head if I were to do that...fear not, the others are being tended to as well...\"
Rorgan is in no condition to protest any longer, but makes quite a scene of swatting at the healers\' assistants as they try to remove the arrows from his legs without further injuring his horse. He grumbles, \"Take care of this horse first, Milady. He\'s a brave warrior who\'s been gravely wounded.\"
Indilzar sighs and leans back. A rather dour look on his face, \"You may tell the Lady that I have kept her token well when you report to her.\"
Galdorim looks at Cordan and helps him to the healers tent by slipping his arm under his arm to let him put his weight upon the large frame of the Sergeant. \"Come Private. Let me \'help ya ta the \'ealers\' tent\"
Turning sharply from the disappointment in Galdorim\'s eyes, Aearwen stomps back to the healing tent. Her blue/green eyes blazing with anger at his refusal to be treated. Muttering angry words under her breath, \"....men....valor.....bravery....stubborn\" Moving inside tent she grabs a swath of bandages and walks to the first man laying there.
Still the horseman continues further forward, riding up next to Galdorim, \"I hear that we are in the midst of a retreat,\" not really a question, more like a statment of the facts, \"Is there any place for me to assist the rear gaurd?\" For this Melethron does seem to be asking a question.
Cordan nods toward the Seargeant and smiles, \"Thank you sir.\"
Maeghan reaches Rorgan and says softly, \"I have one who is tending to the horse Rorgan...you just go rest and let them tend you...\", she glances at Aearwen and then narrows her eyes and walks to Galdorim and snaps, \"You! Get into the healing tent now, if not you stand right there and do not move an inch until you are treated...\"
Galdorim hands Cordan off at the healers and hands him off to one of the nurse. \"take care ef \'im. Dis man fought valiently!\" He then turns towards the horsemen. \"Ave eny ef ya seen da Prince?!\"
Melethron shakes his head, \"No...\" he mutters, \"But I would assume Him to be in that direction...\" he points towards the battle.
Maeghan gestures to Galdorim as another healer takes Cordan to the healing tents, \"Alright, I have some bandages, I will bandage you up till you can come submit to a more through treatment...\"
Cordan peers at Melethron a moment, \"The Prince is still out in the battlefield?\"
Galdorim \'s eyes widen as he hears that the prince is still out ont he battle field. He turns back towards the barracade as he pulls his axe back in hand. \"We must get da prince back ta saftey!\"
Melethron nods to Cordan, \"Then for the Honor of the Ship and Swan, I will ride forth to assist him,\" he remarks with a sudden flare of nobility in his voice, \"To battle,\" he exclaims in a loud voice before spurring his horse towards the east at a full gallop.
The healer hustles Cordan to the healing tent saying tartly, \"You will be going no where but the healing tent...you are in no condition to go anywhere...\"
Cordan peers at the healer, \"That is your opinion!\"
Maeghan looks aghast as Melethron takes off. Her eyes narrow and well...it is obvious that her temper has yet once again been aroused. All she says is, \"Absolutely not you damned Braggolach...\", she races after Melethron..
Swaying aside in his saddle, the black hammer passing him by harmlessly, the Prince yet does not strike back. And his voice rises now, heard with ease even through the din of battle, \'To the West! Ride to the West! Raise the banner for the archers!\' And swiftly indeed, the Knights draw back. For a brief moment they remain thus, the ranks of Gondor and Mordor before each other. And then, even as the crimson banner is raised, they gallop towards the Western end of the bridge.
And even as he rides back, Imrahil stays a scant moment to turn aside the orc\'s blow, ere striking at his shoulder as he sweeps past, calling to his son, \"
Galdorim moves to the line of Guardsmen that are preparing to recieve the retreating troups and close off the advincing hoarde. He comes just in time to see the prince ride back through. He sighs with relief. \"We were jus\' \'bout ta form en assaunt ta \'elp yer retreat, yer highness!\"
Maeghan reaches the edge of the bridge and hollars, \"Melethron Braggolach! You have disobeyed the healers orders, and I demand that you return to your pallet at once! I should have NEVER agreed to let you accompany us, you are in no way ready to go conquor the land...\", she apparently has tried to follow the man as he left the camp..
Indilzar has arrived.
Indilzar still remains upon the log at ease, the healer now finished with his more serious wounds.
Melethron rides up just behind Imrahil\'s group of retreating Knights, \"I fear my Prince that I was too late in arriving.\" The young squire says, his right arm bound to his body so that it will not move, \"Though once I arrived I moved to assist as soon as I learned of where you were.....\" he stops then to turn and listen to the woman yelling at him, though he offers her an angered look, the Bragollach family look, then turns back to the Prince without saying a word to her, \"I fear I am of no help my Lord.\"
Cordan walks east and onto the bridge.
Back from war rides Elphir, faring far worse than the horse beneath him. His left upper arm is badly broken, and there is bone showing through his shoulder, where there is a huge rent in his chain armor. His right leg is better than that, but he obviously favors it as he rides, slowing down as soon as he is out of range. Every bouncing gallop of the horse had made his injuries even worse, and he grimaces with the pain. Squires and knights even swamp him almost immediately, helping him get down from his horse and strip him of his armor, without touching his injured arm.
Just as the healer gring\'s him toward the tent, Cordan spies everyone behind the barracade, \"Is everyone alright,\" he says as he pushes away the healer and suspends himself.
Maeghan does NOT take that \'look\' very well, \"Impertinant welp.....while you have the best intentions I am sure, you will only be a hinderence on the battlefield for you can barely hold your sword...\", she walks over to him and says in a softer voice, \"Now, get back to the tent so I can focus my attention on those that need it...if you do not go willingly I will find two guards to drag you there...\", she says no more and then goes to Elphir, gesturing to her two guards, \"My Lord Elphir...come...we will assist you to the tent of healers...\", she grabs a couple bandages from a small pack at her waist and ever so gently applies them to the wound to sop up the blood till they can get to the tent to repair his arm...
Elphir comes alright, but on a stretcher that his fellows from the South have taken control of. \"M\'lady,\" he attempts a bow. \"Thank you for your attemtion, but this is not life-threatening. Deal with those wounds which would impart death first, I implore you.\"
Maeghan smiles gently to Elphir, \"My Lord, all are being tended too...come\"
Unscathed the Prince seems as he rides back, he alone amongst all his thanes, for this day, there are none who do not bear wounds. And even as many of his folk come forth to him with glad cries, he dismounts, handing the reins to his squire. And weary now he seems as he looks to Galdorim, \"Nay, I am unhurt -- but not so are many valiant men of Gondor this evil day!\"
And to Melethron he turns now, his gaze lingering on the bandage on his arm, \"So -- come with me, Squire!\" And he strides forth to Elphir, his brow creased with worry.
Elphir looks up to his father with a crooked smile as the knights take him to the tent to be healed. \"It was worth it, Father. I shall live to fight another day, and so shall Sir Indilzar. This is but a small price to be paid for the life of a friend.\"
Maeghan is assured that Elphir is being taken to the tent of healers. She goes to Imrahil and says gently, \"My Lord...come, you and all of Gondor has fought well...it is time for the healers to do their part...\", she studies him, \"Are you hurt?\"...
With a quick cast look at Maeghan, the young squire turns to follow his lord and Prince who commands him to follow, \"Aye my Lord,\" he replies to him without speaking a word to the Lady Healer, though in his eyes there are many things he would like to say.
Indilzar rises and staggers up from where he sits, \"Aye Elphir. The Bragollach shall reap vengeance ten-fold.\"
The healer who tended Indilzar looks over and says pleadingly, \"My Lord....Please....lay down and rest...Meg will be ever so upset if I allow you to strain yourself so soon after treatment...\"
Rorgan stirs finally, and from his resting place surveys the carnage about him with a deep sigh. \"Would that we had dropped the old bridge on the whole stinkin\' lot of \'em,\" he mutters as he tries to raise himself into a sitting position.
Galdorim sees most of his men get back. He morns to himself as he remember the slain on the bridge. He walks the line of defence as he reassures him men. He sits down on a pile of rubble and sighs deeply. \"Da eny ef ya know ef Azargath made et back alive? E was down when I saw \'im carted eff.\"
\"Nay,\" says Indilzar, \"I already feel as if refreshed. If this is all Mordor may mete to us, then the destruction of Umbar will be a small feat in the deeds of men.\"
Maeghan glances over to Galdorim and says, \"He is in extremely critical condition, but he yet lives...\"
Aearwen walks over to Galdorim, her concerned eyes glancing over his blood soaked body. Shaking her head, she speaks softly, \"you stubborn man. Come into the healing tent before you pass out in front of your men. Wouldn\'t you prefer to walk in there instead of being carried?\"
By the stretcher the Prince stands, and those who bear it stay for a moment. Long does he look upon his son, ere smiling of a sudden, \"You were rash this day, Elphir -- but valiant! It gladdens me indeed to see that you are as sorely hurt as some others!\"
And as the healers bear the youthful Prince away, he turns to Maeghan, \"Nay lady, I am unhurt. But there is another matter I must look to.\" And his eyes glint now, \"Stand before me, Melethron of the Bragollach!\"
Galdorim looks up at Aearwen and smiles wearily up at her. \"I em fine fer now. Ya jus\' take care ef da more critical men.\" He looks look at your wound. \"Ya look almos\' es bad es me, M\'Lady. Are ya alright?\"
The squire dismounts from his horse to fall upon his knee before the Lord of Dol Amroth, \"As my Prince commands,\" he says formally.
Maeghan nods and then eyes the scene unfolding for a moment before she heads to the healing tents.
In silence the Prince regards the squire before him, ere motioning to him to rise. And he speaks then, his tone stern indeed, \"Is this the truth -- that you rode forth in despite of Lady Maeghan, the Master Healer of this realm?\"
Rorgan leans on his elbows with a slightly amused experession on his face... He has learned his lesson long before...
With head lowered Melethron speaks aloud, \"The Lady never gave word that I was not to leave her care when I saw fit only that I take care not to injure my wound further, which is what I have done...\" he notes placing his left hand upon the bound arm, \"I would never defy the commands of the Lady...\"
Maeghan bristles and begins to splutter, her face, despite her major blood loss, turning fairly pink, though it quickly pales again
Galdorim has reconnected.
Glancing swiftly to Maeghan, Imrahil turns yet again to Melethron with raised eyebrows, \"It would seem the Lady Isilrim does not deem it so. And for this, you shall be punished, and your punishment is to stayin her care as long as she thinks it fit, and to aid her if she asks it of you.\"
\"But now\", and the Prince steps back, \"We shall talk of a higher matter. For you have ridden into battle this day to aid your folk, even through you were wounded. This is high valour indeed! Kneel before me, Squire!\"
Maeghan nods faintly in approval and walks back to the tent of healers to oversee the work going on in there...
With a quick look to Maeghan, and a slight paling of his color, Melethron falls once more to his knee, \"As my Prince commands,\" his tone is still holding of that same formality, \"I obey.\"
Rorgan pulls himself the rest of the way up, suspecting he\'s about to see something he has never seen firthand before...
The rest of the way up to a seated position...
Maeghan first stops at the bed of Az and nods faintly to the healers there and says softly, \"I will finish up....\", she washes her hands and sits on a small stool by the bed. Licking her lips she picks up a curved needle with a pair of tweezers and holds it to the flame of a candle. She pulls it out and then begins to ever so carefully stitch up the muscle and wound, now that the other healers have gently cleaned out the wound. Her eyes narrow as she concentrates and though she seems tense, her hands are steady.
Many of the folk who stand hither draw nearer now, and the Prince and the Squire stand now in a midst of a circle. And Imrahil says then, \"I would have the weapon you bear.\"
Melethron nods as he rest in the kneeling position in front of the man, the hammer in his hand raised so that the hilt is within reach of Imrahil the Fair, \"Again I obey my Prince,\" he says, though the hammer\'s head is just big enough so that it is near impossible to lift with only one hand, though the squire does tilt it so that it is within easy reach for the Prince who calls for it.
Galdorim looks at Aearwen with a concerned looks He grunts with discomforts as he stands back up. \"... ... ... yer ... ... ... ... ... ..., ..., ... ... ya ....\" He looks at her arrow wound and sighs. \"... ... ... too. ... ... ... ... ... ta go ..., ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... need ....\"
Laying a gauntleted hand upon the haft of the hammer, the Prince speaks gravely, \"Take the weapon, and speak even as I do -- Here do I, Melethron son of Menethil swear fealty to the Lord and Prince of Dol Amroth and to the Brotherhood of the Swan, to speak and to be silent, to do and to let be, to come and to go, in need or plenty, in peace or war, in living or dying, from this hour henceforth, until my lord release me, or death take me, or the world end.\"
Maeghan switches to stitching with her left hand, as her right shoulder begins to ache. She holds her right arm closer to her body and sighs softly as another healer dabs her brow with a soft clean cloth.
Aearwen whirls around, her eyes blazing with anger, \"Don\'t talk to me about promises. Look at yourself, blood dripping from everywhere and you refuse to be treated. Her fingers twist the silver ring on her pinkie finger as she stands, chest heaving, furious with you.
Sitting up the best he can, Rorgan drinks in the scene with his eyes.
Calm, even composed is the young man who has sought this goal for so long that he has forgotten when his quest for Knighthood began. Eager, yet smoothly are the Princes words repeated. \"Here do I, Melethron son of Menethil swear fealty to the Lord and Prince of Dol Amroth and to the Brotherhood of the Swan, to speak and to be silent, to do and to let be, to come and to go, in need or plenty, in peace or war, in living or dying, from this hour henceforth, until my lord release me, or death take me, or the world end.\"
Grasping the weapon, Imrahil says now, his voice clear and stern, \"And this do I hear, Imrahil son of Adrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth, and I will not forget it, nor fail to reward that which is given: fealty with love, valour with honour\", and a grim light gleams now in the Prince\'s eyes, \"oath-breaking with vengeance!\"
Galdorim nods and touches Aearwen\'s hand. He says in a soft voice. \"I ... ... ... get .... I ... ... ... ... seriously ... ... ... ... ... ... ... first. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... jabs... ... ....\" He tries to look reassurring to her. \"I ... ... ... ... ... will let ... tend ... ... when ... ... ... ... ... ....\"
And the Prince says now, \"Rise, Melethron of the Bragollach, and stand with your brothers of the Swan, and take your place amidst the Knights of Amroth!\" And he cries then, \"Hail Sir Melethron!\" and many are the voices which take up the cry, and the ruined city of Osgiliath sounds with their echoes, \"Hail Sir Melethron!\"
Announcement: Imrahil has changed the poll to: Melethron - Knight of Dol Amroth!
Rising from the ground, Melethron\'s face seems to have given way to the joy of the moment and it is with that joy that he greets his brother, and they too greet him, well the one\'s still well enough to stand. Leaning a bit on his hammer, the small trickle of blood running down his right leg seems lost to him, he turns to his Prince, \"I cannot thank thee enough for this great honor you have bestowed upon me.\"
Galdorim\'s soft voice triggers the emotions she has been holding back. Her bright, tear filled eyes look into his as she says, \"I have come to love the men of Gondor since my arrival here. To see those brave men, yourself included, get injured on the battlefield has been an emotional time for me. Wiping the tears that spill down her cheeks she continues, \"Yes, I did break my promise by coming here, but surely, you didn\'t expect me to stay home embroidering when my hands can be of use? What kind of woman would I be? My heart and loyalty demands my all.\" Turning she walks back into the healing tent and checks on some of the injured men.
Inclining his head to the Knight, the Prince smiles faintly, \"I could do naught else, for you have served me faithfully indeed, as have all your kin. And now I command you, go to the Lady Isilrim and have your wound tended to!\" And truning, he strides to the bunker, the press parting before him.
After a very long while, Maeghan finishes closing the wound. She trembles as she rises and sets her tools down, saying to her healers, \"Please, clean these up and I will check on the other patients...\", she begins to walk through the tent, her face pale, but she gently talks to each of the wounded that is still awake, and gently passes a hand across the foreheads of those who are sleeping. As she reaches the other end of the tent she hears Aearwen\'s words and says, \"Truely Wen, you have been of great help to our cause, I doubt we could have handled things as well without you....\"
Melethron nods to the Prince, but only after gathering his things does he make to the healers tent... and more slowly to the Lady Isilrim, and with a bow he smiles at her, \"I am yours to command as my Prince has ordered.\"
Galdorim follows Lady Aearwen into the healer\'s tent and speaks to her quietly to her. \"I em nah doubtin\' ya Aearwen. Et give ma heart great joy to see ya, but I wish I could ef protected ya better.\" He looks down. \"Ya are a noble \'onorable Lady... EN ya know ma feelin\'s\" He takes a seat on a stool. \"I would be \'onored ya ya would help me wit des wounds...\"
Maeghan says weakly to Melethron, \"have one of the healers tend your wounds...I must go lay down I feel very.....\", her words trail off and she crumples to the empty pallet beside her, overcome by exhaustion and extreme loss of blood.
Aearwen smiles softly as she looks into Meg\'s face, \"Thank you for your kind words Meg. You have to be so tired. Why don\'t you sit for a moment and let me bring you a cup of tea? Her eyes looking at the tinge of pink on Meg\'s bandage she says, \"Relax for a moment and let\'s have you checked on. You have done a magnificent job, risking your life to go in and rescue the wounded. Her head shaking in disbelief as visions of Meg rushing back over the bridge fill her mind.
That smile fades away quickly, \"Do something,\" he commands of the nearby healers, his voice losing that sense of humor and sarcasm, \"So help me if anything should happen to her...\" his threat trails off into mumbled words.
Aearwen barks out an order to men standing there, \"get her onto a pallet, NOW! Careful, lift her carefully and dont disturb her wound anymore than you have to\" Walking beside the men as they place Meg on a pallet. Dropping into the chair beside her, Aearwen\'s fingers reach out to touch her forehead, noting the paleness of her skin, hoping she doesn\'t feel clammy as well.
Turning back to Galdorim, Aearwen says, \"I need to look after Meg\" She turns and calls to one of the healing men, motioning him over. Her words clear and concise, \"Take good care of this man. He fought a hard and brave battle on the front of the line and he is dear to me\"
Naturally the healers rush to their master\'s aid and straighten her out. They gently rouse the woman by putting smelling salts under her nose. Maeghan\'s eyelashes flutter and she starts to push herself to a sitting position, only she winces as she had forgotten about the wound in her shoulder. The other healers keep her laying down and bring her some tea. She says softly, \"Oh dear...\"
Rorgan watches with helpless concern as the scene with the Master Healer unfolds. He would obviously like to get up and help, but is currently unable to walk.
Maeghan rises with their aid and sips her tea. She looks at Melethron and says, \"Go get your wound tended to...\", she gestures to two, \"You and You, wake me if something goes wrong...everyone else sleep for a couple hours so that we will be fresh and ready to go in the morning...\"
Aearwen rises from her chair and walks over to where the healers are working on Galdorim. Shaking her head softly as her eyes rake over the many cuts on his chest. The two wounds from the orc attack, since a bright scar on his chest. She motions for the healer to his right to move and takes the seat at his side. Picking up the cloth that the healer discarded, she dips it into the cool bowl of water and gently squeezes the excess and tenderly bathes his chest, carefully sponging away the blood. Her voice is low when she finally speaks, \"I am not sorry for coming here Galdorim. If you have anymore harsh words, speak them now, I do not wish to discuss this issue again.\" Dipping the cloth back in the cool water and squeezing it out, tinging the water with a brink pink as she continues to clean the blood from Galdorim\'s broad chest. Finally satisfied that the wounds are clean, she bends closer and determines that none need to be stitched. Reaching into the bag beside her, she pulls out a tin of healing salve, opens it and gets a generous dollop on her fingers and she tenderly applies the salve to each cut and nick. Soft fingers massaging the salve in before she moves to the next wound.
Galdorim shakes his head and winces a few times as the the wounds on his chest are clean. \"Nah, I said ma peace. Yer persence es welcome \'ere en greatly appreciated. He reaches out an touches your cheek. \"I jus\' wish I could ef protected ya better.\"
Aearwen smiles softly as Galdorim touches her cheek, her hand coming up for a moment to rest on his, \"I am just glad you are alright. When I saw you take that first hit, my heart came up into my chest. Now lie back and rest, you need your energy, those orcs are too close for my own comfort.\"
Galdorim nods as he stands up with his newly bandaged chest, arms, and legs. \"Aye, I need da rest.\" He walks over and strokes your soft curls gently and then turns and walks to where his cot is in the Fortress.
Aearwen winces as she rises from the chair, her bandaged shoulder paining her. Wearily walking to a nearby pallet, she stretches out. Closing her eyes, the scenes of the battle are brilliant images running through her mind. Aware that rest is far from coming, she softly hums a song her mother sang to her when she was young, \"rest my ...........sweet dreams....dont you cry..... Her right arm slipping up over her eyes as tears slide out the corners, biting her lip she silently berates her own softness. Turning to her side so no one can see the flow of tears, a silent release of emotion in the still of the night.
