A tale of the Gondorian

From the archives of the Gondorian

Where
The Great Sea

The death of Lord Earontir, Lord of Earendor and Earedail\'s first meeting with Arali. Lot\'s of others in here too. All of the gondorians, except Earontir(a puppet of Earedail) and Earedail himself were alts.

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] Black is the night sky and black is the ocean, yet its heaving motions carry the shimmering lights of the countless stars that dot the heavens. In the distance lies the horizon and upon it there sits two darkened specks, far too faint against such a background, but yet to the keen eyed something may seem amiss.

> The Tiranga wallows in the seas small breakers. Across her rigging sailors run trying to repair the damage wrought by a swiftly moving storm. Her sails have been shredded and even the spars look damaged. Only the proud flags of the House Earendor and the Lords Ensign still flutter undamaged. The sailors keep a close lookout but know that should they be discovered there will be no flight until their sails are repaired.

Earontir wearily moves to the bow of his vessel and says, \"Ho, Earontil. How long before we are repaired? We have urgent business in Minas Tirith. Twas an ill turn of fate to leave us here.\"

Earedail stands to the port, looking out over the sea, his greatsword upon his back moves slightly as the ship sways on the swells but Earedail hardly moves at all as he stands braced, watching the oceans. Halvaldin stands tall near Earontil, his jaw set stern as he watches the sea rise and fall before him. No movement does he make left or right for his legs are planted far apart for balance. He seems a tad out of place but his duty is clear and it occupies his time and thoughts.

[Earontil(#18480)] Tensions runs high and nervosity and fear can be easily detected in the Sea guard of the house of Earendor as they stand on the deck of the Tiranga, nervously gazing at the darkness that is the sea as they place their hand on the hilt of their sword to ensure it\'s prescense and give themself a feeling of safety. Little of such can be detected of Earontil, Cousin of Earontir, as he stands near the bow, his arms crossed, and his calm gaze set upon the horizon, his lips curled into a fixed and serene position, his longsword dangling on his right side in it\'s red scabbard. Then upon the arrival of Earedail the Captain immediately turns, bowing to him gracefully as he speaks, \"Lord Earontir, we need two more hours before the repairs will be finished.\"

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] The two specks of darkness that lie ominously on the horizon grow ever larger as time passes on and clouds continue to drift by, the waves of the Bay hiding their forms only momentarily before they again appear, this time closer than before.

> The lookout upon the Tiranga peers at the breakers trying to spot the corsairs should they come upon the horizon. He looks for a moment at the strange spots but loses them again. The darkness fools him into thinking they were merely birds and he says nothing to those below. The Tiranga continues coasting along with the currents while the crew tries to repair the tattered sails.

Inzilkhir , the old guardsman, stroll the deck without goal, scratching his grey -- almost white beard. He mutters something to a sailor, chuckles at another. But then he stops by the railing, leaning heavily against it. He gazes out to the sea, and perhaps a memory of younger days cross his mind as he does, for a broad smile takes form in is harsh face.

Earontir smiles and says, \"Not too bad. If the fates be with us we\'ll be asail again before the Corsairs can find us, should any be out tonight. We are not in any condition to run now though and we lost a good 5 men of the Guard to that storm this day.\" Earontir turns from Earontil and looks at his son a moment, brooding, \"Mayhap though I should not have brought all of the heirs save the one unknown with me.\"

Halvaldin, listen to the men talk, absently puts his hand on the pommel of his sword as Corsairs are mentioned. His face grows gloomier as they talk of brothers-in-arms that he has recently lost. Turning his attention once again to the sea the shadows hide his face and his obvious misery.

Earedail turns back to the crew and looks over each of them, men who have been raised with him or men he was raised around. He notices Inzilkhir and smiles for a moment remembering the fierce old mans scowl from when Earedail used to pull his beard. Earedail turns back to the seas though and broods, worry playing at him.

[Earontil(#18480)] Earontil forces a faint smile onto his lips, wich is barely noticable trough his sour face as he is reminded of the storm wich costed him five guards. In an attempt to reassure the Lord he speaks with a calm and strong voice, \"Do not worry Lord for the repairs will be finished in time and I have confidence in my men. Any corsair attempt will easily be repelled.\" yet as he speaks a soft tremble of fear can be detected in his otherwise strong and calm voice.

Earontir smiles at his cousin and says, \"Ever like your father was. Optimistic. Aye. It\'ll be a close fight should the corsairs give us reason to fight them but let us hope not. I\'d rather grow old and soft than have to die this eve. Besides, the tellers spoke of how my son would rebuild our house. That would be hard should he die this eve.\"

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] No slave rowers do the Corsairs of Umbar use as they speed with great haste across the seas for the waves are high this night and the oars would surely break as if twigs in the ocean. The mighty black sails of two vessels heave and flutter about as the strong winds from the south guide their path one could almost hear the glee the Haradrim would put forth if the winds and waves were not so clamorous.

Suddenly from the Tiranga comes a shout of warning, the lookout has spotted sails, or something more terrible, blacking out the stars. The crew of the Gondorian vessel give a great sigh, their fears have been realized. A single figure does not move upon the ship, his black hair, streaked with white seems almost amused, \"To arms Sea Guard. To Arms!\" he cries. And then turns to his ship.

Halvaldin turns to see what the lookout sees and shakes his head sadly. Tearing his longsword from his scabbard he storms past Earontil to the centre of the ship. He stands near Inzilkhir, his superior, and gives him a nod in readiness.

[Earontil(#18480)] A soft curse escape\'s the captain\'s lips as he notices the corsairs and their omnious looking black sails, ever coming nearer trough the blackcolored sea. Seconds pass as he gazes at the sails of the corsair ships with his unnerling calmth and serenity, though his right hand fidgets uneasily with the hilt of his sword. Suddenly Earontil turns quite burskly to Earontir, bowing lightly to him as he speaks, \"Do not worry Lord, for my men will protect you and defend the Tiranga.\" he sighs as he gives in to his fears and adds, \"It will be a close battle Lord, but I will stand by you, no harm will be brought to you, your heirs or the ship.\"

Earontir turns to Earontil, \"It seems we\'ll have a chance to prove your mens worth. Prepare for borders Captain.\" Earontir turns to his son then and smiles, \"Well song, it seems we\'ll have a hot night of it. Stay alive you hear? You mother would be quite upset with me if I didn\'t come back with you.\" With that the Elderly Lord Earontir turns and moves towards the gathering guard.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] The old guardsman look to the side, at the younger guardsman and shrugs, be he says nothing. Instead he replies to the nod with a bitter smile and draws his sword in a slow movement. With quick glance to the sea, Inzilkhir turn fully, so that his back is turned to the sea and the black sails.

Earedail looks after his father for a moment and then sighs quietly, he draws his massive blade and then moves to the prow to await the borders and he watches his father carefully and worry is etched plainly upon his face.

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] The two masses of black sails begin to separate from each other, one heading slowly off towards the west while the other continues on a direct approach across the Bay for the damaged ship of Gondor, it\'s sleek form slicing through the waves as if they were not there.

[Earontil(#18480)] After drawing his sword from the leather scabbard the Captain inclines his head softly to the elderly lord, before moving to the center of the deck where most of the soldiers are gathered, his piercing gaze falling onto them, his lips perched together tightly and curled in the same fixed and stern curl. His military boots thump heavily on the wood of the deck as he moves and upon reaching them he speaks with a powerfull and strong voice, so all the men may hear it over the waves of the ocean, \"It seems men, that the repairs will not be finished in time and the corsairs have caught up with us.\" a soft sigh escapes his lips, barely audible over the noise of the ocean. \"I will not lie, it will be a hard battle that we will fight, but you are each and all skilled men and have each served with Lord Earontir for a long time.\" his gaze falls on Inzilkhir as he pronounces the word long, a faint smile apearing on his lips. \"Good luck men, you know your places!\" and after having spoken, the captain immediately moves to Earontir, to protect and serve.

> All thoughts of escape are gone from the Gondorians minds. Only survival still stands. The sailors in the rigging have given up their hopeless task and only a single sail has been replaced enough to be used. Along the ships side are several soldiers dressed in white shirts. Shields are at their sides and they watch carefully the Haradrim vessels. One clump of such guards stands about the elderly Lord Earontir, his height making him obvious from afar as he stands out above his men, though he is a little slouched from age. The gondorian archers have taken positions in the rigging and along the sides ready to do battle with their haradrim foes. Few archers are upon the gondorian vessel, and even the number of guards seems small for a vessel this size. The storm which damaged the rigging must have also done some damage to the crew of this ship.

[Earontil(#18480)] If any foe would search for Earontil, he would find him standing strong and tall in front of the small detchment of sea guard that stands before Lord Earontir in an attempt to protect him. His concentrated gaze rests on the corsair ships who now arrive at an alarming speed, his long sword resting, clenched tightly in his hands.

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] The wide form of the Haradrim vessel does not slow down as it hurries through the waters, the sails pushed onwards with the ferocity of the winds. On its deck can be seen the many shapes and figures of those from Umbar, their blades thirsting in anticipation for what is to come while their voices rise in kind and yet no archers lift their bows and let loose their arrows.

Earontir speaks softly from his place amongst his men, \"They plan to board directly. Warn the archers and get them away from the sides. They\'ll be overwhelmed nearly immediately. Earontil, it has been good to serve as your Lord. May the Valar look upon us with favor this evening.\"

[Earontil(#18480)] Earontil inclines his head to Earontir, yet grim as he is, his lips remain perched. Then he follows the orders of Earontir, taking several steps forward so his voice can be carried far enough as he sways his sword to the archers, \"Retreat from the sides and switch your bows for blades, they are boarding directly!\" And after having spoken such the Captain retreats back to Earontir.

Halvaldin seems stonelike as he awaits the inevitable, though his eyes flick to Earontir as he speaks. He smiles at the man\'s nobility and then turns his head back to watch what is soon to be chaos.

> The archers of the Tiranga quickly move from the sides of the ship and exchange their bows for blades as orders come forth. The Tiranga seems to hum with anticipation as the crew awaits their boarders with hushed voices and impatience. One figure seems to be standing in the shadows and only as the Harad ship approaches can his form be made out a little cleared, a greatsword in his hands, he seems to be waiting back from the lines. Other figures gather around the Lord Earontir, several older guards, experienced and ready, and quite a few younger men, their eyes showing their fear and nervousness.

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] The vessel of Umbar can clearly be made out now, perhaps that is a sign that in this darkened night the two lie too close. For it is that in but a few seemingly long moments the dragon headed fore hull of the Suleiman comes to crash upon the wooden boards of the Tiranga splints rise high into the air and the screech of steel upon steel and wood echoes into the ocean.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] The old guardsmans eyes narrow as he gaze out to the sea and the approaching corsairs. He is planning something... or perhaps his eyes have grown weary of age. He seem tense like a nocked bowstring. Despite the fact that this might be his last sea battle, no fear or nervousity can be spotted in his visage. And as the Harad ship clash toghether he stumble a step or two not to loose his foothold.

> Only a few of the Gondorian men lose there feet, though one is the Lord Earontir. Quickly those who have fallen stand up again, all but one, a young sailor who\'s throat has been pierced full throw by a splinter the size of dagger. He lays dead upon the decks. The rest quickly prepare themselves for the corsairs attack even as they begin to really feel the nervousness that marks battles everywhere.

Halvaldin feels the jostle of the ships crashing first, before actually hearing the din it creates. He moves forward slightly as anticipation for what is to come leaves him feeling agitated the more he must wait. Longsword at the ready he eyes the deck carefully, making sure that nothing more will surprise him

[Earontil(#18480)] Many crashes has the Cousin of Earontir survived and another crash won\'t throw him off his feet anymore and once the shock of the crash has subdued the aptin\'s gaze remains on the warriors, waiting for the Haradrim to appear.

> [The Suleiman(#27824)] On The Suleiman, Vrael, Captain of the Harad vessel, braces himself tightly for the impact, a hand gripped firmly upon the railing at the fore of the ship as it smashes into the side of the Tiranga, \"Throw the grapples and board at will men! We fight now and we fight without mercy!\" Preparing himself and lunging up to the railing, the Captain does not wait for the ships to come to a halt, rather he leaps and flies through the air as if a bird and lands squarely upon the deck of the Gondorian vessel, blade still in hand.

> [<#25001>] From inside The Suleiman, His rage no longer contained, Marul leaps to action, waving his scimitar fearfully about as one mad. He leaps off of the Suleman\'s deck, and shouting at the top of his lungs he bellows, \"

H\'Tead follows after the remainder corsair crew, hanging back he sulkily looks over the fighting already taking place upon the foreign ship.

The Gondorian Sea Guard scream incoherently as the Corsairs force a boarding. The guards run forward hoping by shere numbers to push back the foe into the sea but the Harad outnumber them even in this first rush, though only lightly, and the fight hangs just by the sides of the Tiranga.

Keani clambers aboard right behind Naiara. She gulps several times and keeps her hand on her bundle. She crouches low still both to stay low as a target and to keep from being tossed sideways by the tilt of the ship against the waves. It is clear upon first glance she is unarmed. Though what she may have hidden under her robe remains to be seen. The potential for a hidden dagger is fair.

Halvaldin remains in the middle of the group of sea guards, sworn to defend the ship. Behind him he can see Earontir and Earontil and he waits for Inzilkhar\'s orders before he moves a muscle. As he waits, he cannot help but watch with wide eyes as howling Haradrim begin swarming onto the ship.

[Arali(#20995)] The grapples latching on like claws, the corsairs swarm on board, letting out fierce cries of war and death. At the head of the charge is a small figure, but as deadly as any in the horde of corsairs. Swathed in armor with a purple tunic bearing the symbol of Farside, the Lady Arali hacks into the wall of human flesh. She tries to shout out orders, calling for her men to break through the lines, but she is quickly drowned out.

Earontir scowls softly and says, \"Earontil, watch their leader. She\'s dangerous, more so than she looks. The center will fail first, send your reserve into there first. Start them moving when I tell you. Earedail will watch the left flank for us. He knows what to do.\" Earontir smiles for a moment and says, \"Like old times it is. Let us give them another battle to remember.\"

[Miragor(#29370)] With an almighty leap, the corsair Miragor lands with a thud on the half-ruined deck of the enemy vessal. Letting his scimitar lead the way, he dives into the crowd of Gondorians, hacking and slashing, as if at plants.

[Thera(#28206)] The Corsairs have arrived upon the Gondorian\'s like a merciless pestilence which there is no escape from. Viciously slashing with her blade, sending Gondorian men to a brutal death, is the first mate of the Suleiman. To her, the word Mercy has no meaning whatsoever.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] Following the Lady of Farside, the scimitar of Al\'Chadashim slashes down towards one of the Gondorian men. Easily blocked the sheer force of the blow makes the gondorian move slightly backwards, however, not enough to make him fall or drop his weapon.

[Vrael(#21062)] The other ship of Umbarian make now lies some two nautical miles away from the action, waiting upon the western horizon, its black form dormant for now. However, for the crew of the Suleiman it is quite different for right now many of the Corsairs scream across the railings of both ships, scimitars waving about in a frenzy, \"Slay what you see!\" calls out the cloaked Captain, \"Take their leader, he will make a fine example!\"

Earontil(#18480)] Near Earontir, Earontil, captain of the Sea guard stands strong, overseeing his men with a stern gaze, his right hand clenched tightly around the blade of his longsword, gripping the leather tightly. His piercing gaze falls over his guard as they fight, nervous and calm at the same time. then upon receiving Earontir\'s orders the Captain inclines his head softly, \"Another battle to remember Lord, I will do as you say.\"

[Naiara(#26795)] Despite the ferocity with which her fellow Haradrim attack, Naiara herself hangs back slightly. Her scimitar remains ready before her, though she is more inclined to watch for the moment, and parry any blows that come her way.

Earedail waits a moment and then strides into the battle as the Corsairs break through for a moment. As the foul men get past the first of the Sailors they find themselves faced with a massive blade that swings before him and beheads two before the first raiders realize that somebody has come to plug the hole.

Earontir sighs and then nods, \'Now Earontil. The lady and her crew will break through soon. Hit them with Inzilkhir and his squad now. Before they break all the way through and get a chance to breath.\"

Miragor pats Thera on the back. \"Let\'s go get them, There!\"

[H\'Tead(#6806)] More eager then even the vicious corsairs of Umbar are the flocks of screaming sea birds who have followed them to sea. Some over eager avians even have the gall to divebomb the combattants.

[<#25001>] Marul climbs aboard the Tiranga, waving his scimitar as a madman. Standing confidently on the ship\'s deck he shouts, \"\" Seeing a crewman nearby, he charges, wielding his scimitar and shouting.

[Earontil(#18480)] Earontil nods briskly as he runs forward, storming towards the center, his sword clenched tightly in his right as he motions to Inzilkhir and his reserves squad to charge the center, his strong voice carried well over the noise of the stormy ocean. Without waiting, he charges into the fray, hacking away with his sword, his skilled arm swaying from side to side as he brings his sword up from over his head to swoop down upon his enemies with deadly force.

[Arali(#20995)] Surrounded by her stoutest warriors, the Lady Arali presses onwards, moving towards where she senses the line to be weakest and attempting to break into it in a second spot. Her move are smooth, quick and elegant. Lacking in strength, she makes up for in agility, with an awareness of all that is going on around her.

Al\'Chadashim slashing through the Gondorian he just charged into, Al\'Chadashim continues through the ranks of the Gondorian guards with high speed. His scimitar slashes through another foe before he see\'s someone he deems important enough to charge towards and with a scream he leaps forward towards Earedail.

[Miragor(#29370)] Through the din of battle, Miragor finds himself stopped infront of a large man. Instinctively the corsair brings his blade round towards the man and screams loaudly as he does.

[Thera(#28206)] Thera\'s eyes flare in shades of ocean blue and amyethyst as she moves forth through the rank of brave, but foolish Gondorians. Her thirst for blood is yet to be quelched and her Scimitar has still seen so little of it. She follows up on Miragor, locking her gaze on Halvaldin, scimitar dripping of the blood of the slain.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] The old guardsman turns to the men with him and raise his voice, and his sword, suddenly. \"Earen for Gondor!\" There after he moves towards the corsairs with remarkable speed for such an old man and his \'squad\' of guardsmen follow in his heels.

[Keani(#23322)] Using Naiara more or less as a shield, Keani remains behind the priestess trying to avoid any sharp metal objects swishing through the air near her. She keeps her eyes on the corsairs looking for those that need assistance.

Earedail screams out to the Corsairs, who have suddenly stopped on the left side, \"Come on you cowards. Face the wrath of the Sea!\" His great sword is before him. The sudden leap of Al\'Chadashim doesn\'t surprise him and he catches the scimitar upon his heavy blade, bringing the corsair in close before throwing him back from him, \"Scum. taste the Oceans wrath!\" He pulls about the huge blade in a circle at waist height ready to cut open the corsair.

[Vrael(#21062)] With his dark blade now bloodied and stained a crimson red from the torn body of some Gondorian soldier, the Captain of the Suleiman charges forwards to meet the challenge presented by the old man and his squad, \"For the Eye and for Umbar, the blood of Northmen shall pour like a river into the sea this night!\"

Halvaldin walks forward, steady and prepared for what is to come. Quickly he and his commander are swarmed by Haradrim and he prepares for the worst. Grim face is shown to Thera and Miragor as he squares off with them. Shield high and weapon ready he awaits the first blow.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] Being pushed back seems to be something of a surprise to Al\' who narrowly escapes the blade being intended for his waist. Though once he has started to move backwards he continues a bit more, to steady himself up, now slightly more vary of his opponent. He grabs his scimitar with both his hands and starts moving forward, making a slash towards the foe, intended to strike from his left leg, up and across his whole chest. You paged Tiralyn with \'can you poke your husband?? I need this ship combat able.. and I don\'t know how to do that.\'.

[Marul(#25001)] Thrusing his scimitar at the sailor, Marul misses and falls forward onto the deck. Regaining his composure quickly, the corsair readies his scimitar to defend himself. As the Gondo approaches, Marul\'s blade rings loudly against his foe\'s. Stepping a few paces back he keeps on guard, awaiting his enemy\'s next maneuver.

The soldiers in front of Arali and her crew dissolve seemingly in the center, much as the Lord Earontir had forseen. Earontil and his extra men, the sqad of Inzilkhar, arrive just in time to bottle up those breaking through though the Lady Arali seems to have been missed by the front soldiers who have ignored her for th emoment, concentrating on the more dangerous foes. Their movements have also blocked her from Earontil\'s sight for just the briefest of moments.

[Earontil(#18480)] The Captain of the guard continues to hack into the center of the corsair\'s charge, backed up by the squad that is led by Inzilkhir. And as his sword hacks from side to side, so does his gaze move from side to side as his worried glare sometimes returns to Earontir who now stands behind the fray with only a few men to protect and likewise his eyes search trough the hay of men and blood, looking for the Lady of which Earontir warned him.

Keani covers her mouth with her hand as she is inundated with the sight of so much blood. Every young Harad girl needs to learn the hard way sometime. As Naiara cuts through the Gondorian warriors the young apprentice forgets her seasickness and leaps out of the range of the weapons. Her barefeet now red with the blood on the decks of the ship she finds her sea legs.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] The bearded Inzilkhar eyes the Captain of the Suleiman as he thrust his blade through the chest of a corsair -- he seems almost thoughtful. He lift one foot and kicks the harad off his blade and lets him lie and moves through the heat of battle towards the dark Captain, swinging his blade to the sides more to defend himself than to deal any damage.

Earedail steps deftly to the side of the Corsair attack on him, he smiles slightly and those before him realize that his earlier, heavy handed swings were merely toying with those about him. He pivots quite smoothly and brings his greatsword around and over his head, in a fast, downward sweep meant to dismember his foe.

[Arali(#20995)] All the Lady Arali\'s words about mercy and taking prisoners is forgotten by herself as she cuts into her first man and her bloodlust takes over. Making it through with a couple of her men as she sends the full force of her corsairs against the line, she fights to stay alive once behind the enemy line. She sees one of her men go down by her side but she fights on, unintimidated and fierce as she cuts through her foes.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar, but Halvaldin parries the attack with his shield.

[Marul(#25001)] As the man of Gondor attacks Marul parries with his scimitar, fending off the sailor\'s charge and pushing the enemy back. Bringing forth his blade he come at his foe, but fails as the opponent parries.

Earontir draws his blade suddenly as something about the battle catches his eye, He quickly speaks up and says, \"You men, to the right. They are going to break through there.\" He seems worried even as he says it and just as the men leave him the Lady Arali appears, behind the Gondorian lines as one of the Sea Guard falls before her feet. Earontir sighs softly and says, \"I knew you would make it through Lady of the Sea.\"

[Halvaldin(#28151)] Shield being a guard\'s best friend, Halvaldin manages to block the Haradrim\'s attack keeping his balance for what he is sure will quickly be Thera\'s strike. His weapon stays firmly in front of him as he tries to keep himself in front of his two foes.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] As Al\'Chadashims attack misses the flesh for which it was intended he moves with the sword, trying to avoid the attack by moving away from it. His speed increases and even though the swing misses, it is obvious that the sergeant of Farside has underestimated his foe.

[Thera(#28206)] Following up on Miragor with a war cry in ancient Haradic, is the First Mate of the Suleiman. The darkness of night enshrouds her face with shadows, causing her features to become nearly impossible to see. Swiftly she swings her blade, aiming it for the Gondorian\'s Neck.

[Vrael(#21062)] The untanned and pale neck of a Gondorian guardsman spills out upon itself the light blood that flows beneath, the man\'s head is nearly severed by one fell swing from the blade of Vrael, its jagged edge becoming caught upon the wrent flesh. With a mighty heave it is freed and the limp and lifeless body of the enemy falls dead to the deck, adding to the already large pool of red that stains the wooden planks. The Captain snickers at his vile acts and continues to rampage through what resistance is offered against him, though at times things come too close, \"Keep the pressure on and soon they will fall!\" he exclaims, eyes coming to cast themselves upon Inzilkhir, thrusting his weapon to him, aiming for the midsection.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar and mildly wounds him!

Vrael attacks Inzilkhir with his Scimitar, but Inzilkhir parries the attack with his Longsword!

[Earontil(#18480)] Finally, Earontil finds himself caught up in the fray, no longer realizing what is going on before and behind him as he hacks away with his sword on the Haradrim lines, his agile body jumping from side to side as he attacks soldier upon soldier with endless jabs from his sword, the clinging of metal deafening his ears as he places hit upon hit, yet is no longer able to look back and keep an eye upon his lord.

The Gondorian Sea Guard have taken heavy casualties and even the Sailors are much fewer in number. The Corsairs have faired a poorly though for the sudden reinforcements on the right have driven back the Haradrim who had managed to penetrate the line. On the left none of the corsairs have gotten past Earedail\'s blade. Only the center has bunkled and Earontil, Inzilkhir and Halvaldin stand between the Corsair leaders there and certain demise.

Halvaldin steps back just in time to avoid a serious gash to his exposed neck and comes away with a knick that begins to bleed down onto his uniform. Seemingly incensed by such an attack he quickly responds by ignoring his first opponent and attacking Thera, the seemingly quicker of the two. His strike is more a thrust as he jabs forward at the woman.

[Arali(#20995)] The Lady of Farside spares no words for Earontir, nor does she even recognize the back-handed compliment he has given her. With a cry she engages in a swift series of blows to the man\'s head, then suddenly she swings towards his legs.

Halvaldin attacks Thera with his Longsword and lightly wounds her!

[Miragor(#29370)] Falling away to one side, Miragor catches a glimpse of Thera attacking the same man. This time a corsair blade hits it\'s mark, the ruby blood running down his throat as he strikes back at Thera.

Naiara turns to check on the healer, and frowns as she sees the girl\'s hands are empty. She turns her back on the fray -- perhaps stupidly, pulling a dagger loose that was hidden in her sash. Almost impatiently, she presses it into the woman\'s hands. \"Here!\" she calls over the din. \"If they come too close, kill them!\"

Earedail turns from his foe and as his blade strikes deep into the wood, he moves to the opposite side of the blade wrenching it from the damaged planking even as he uses it to catch Al\'Chadashim\'s attack upon it\'s blade. Earedail lifts the blade slowly backing up a little from his foe to gain room for his massive weapon it seems, not attacking him directly.

[Miragor(#29370)] The dark-haired corsair, his gold sash now bloodied turns back to the man who now seems occupied with Thera.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar, but he misses by a handspan.

[Thera(#28206)] Little blod is shed, yet it is enough to cause the Corsair to wince back a few steps. This only added more to Thera\'s already building rage, a rage that she does not intend to let go unshed.

\"Die you son of hound!\" Thera calls out in fury as she sends her scimitar down at Halvaldin.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar, but Halvaldin parries the attack with his Longsword!

[Marul(#25001)] The sailor presses forward he thrusts his sword toward Marul. Quickly the corsair parries but, tiring, not as quickly as before. Backing away with care, Marul brings his scimitar up in a defensive position and hoping his armour will hold up against his enemy.

Earontir scowls softly and moves as quickly as he can. His movements are a little stiff but his skill can not be doubted for he concisely parries the Lady Arali\'s blows. His face is darkened though with concentration and a grunt escapes him as he shuffles his left knee out of the way.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] The old Inzilkhir grunts at the captains words and grunt once againt as he brings his blade up. *clang!* The two blades meet with a sharp metallic sound and even small sparkles are seen briefly before they fade and die. The old man winks almost wickedly at the young captain and thrust his longsword at his throat.

Inzilkhir attacks Vrael with his Longsword, but he misses by a long shot.

Keani takes the dagger and clutches it for dear life. \"Thank you ..watch your back!\" she calls to Naiara through the din of the battle.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] Having gained some momentum from the evasive maneuver, Al\'Chadashim continues in a semicircle, trying to use the speed to surprise his foe. The scimitar is once again swung from below, this time with slightly less force than the first assault, trying to hit the right thigh.

Halvaldin gets himself into a rhythm, shield and sword working in unison as he blocks Thera\'s blow and sidesteps Miragor\'s jab. Throwing his shield forward he fakes a strike at Miragor and again aims for Thera, letting his sword take a sideways trajectory towards the woman\'s vunerable side.

Halvaldin attacks Thera with his Longsword, but Thera parries the attack with her shield!

[Arali(#20995)] Sensing where her opponent\'s weaknesses lie, the Lady Arali presses her advantage. She is constantly moving, never a static target, her scimitar licking out towards the Gondorian noble. As she attacks, she attempts to press the man back. Behind him lies a body..perhaps the lady wishes to make the man lose his balance?

Earedail steps back from his foes attack, though the blade nearly touches Earedail\'s leg it just barely misses. The tall Gondorian though quickly brings his blade around and it is then that the trap is sprung for the Corsair Al\'Chadashim is easily within the larger swords reach, and the swing is at thigh height, with all of Earedail\'s body behind the massive weapon.

[Miragor(#29370)] His continual misses begin to make Miragor furious as he charges back at the man with more force. This time he aims for the legs, as the man concentrates most of his attention on Thera.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and lightly wounds him!

[Thera(#28206)] As the Gondorian attempts another strike, Thera is fast to block it off with a raised shield. And with her other hand and a flicker of her wrist she sends her Blade down at Halvaldin, once again aiming for his already wounded neck.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar and mildly wounds him!

[Naiara(#26795)] The priestess turns quickly, but not quickly enough... She sidesteps, her balance lost, and takes a wound in the side. Clenching her teeth, she lifts her sword, and rushes forward -- impaling the one who dealt the wound.

Earontir takes only the smallest steps. His blade mostly defensive, flicking out but once to try and strike at Arali\'s wrist. His movements are quite precise though, and the stiffness of his joints become more pronounced at Earontir steps backwards. Arali\'s blade finds his leg once, caressing it briefly and bringing a grunt of pain to the Lord Earontir\'s mouth.

[Vrael(#21062)] The Captain of the Suleiman deftly steps to the side, bending his neck slightly so that the blade of the old guard narrowly avoids its mark, assailing only the soft sea air. In a hastily thought out motion, Vrael brings his shield to perchance bear itself upon the weapon arm of his foe whilst his own weapon cuts through the air, falling in a arc towards Inzilkhir\'s chest.

Vrael attacks Inzilkhir with his Scimitar, but Inzilkhir parries the attack with his Longsword!

[Halvaldin(#28151)] A rhythm can quickly step off-beat when one is faced with two deadly opponents. A simple guard is Halvaldin, not an elite by any means, and he is starting to look outclassed. Through clenched teeth, the guard takes two blows, one to the shoulder from thera, piercing right through his leather armour and a vicious attack from Miragor in his left thigh. Favouring his right leg Halvaldin focuses on his now fiercer opponent Miragor, thrusting his sword forward for the man\'s belly.

Halvaldin attacks Miragor with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] A quick leap from the Haradrim sergeant is not enough to fully avoid the large blade that comes flying towards him. The jump does however that the sword misses the thigh for which it was intended and instead it hits one of Al\'Chadashims feet and a strange crunching sound is heard, probably from the bone breaking. The force of the blow also sends Al\'Chadashim tumbling away from his foe and as he rolls over the body of a dead Gondorian his scream is heard over the vessel.

[Keani(#23322)] With a wave of guilt washing through her Keani rushes to the Priestesses side, \"Oh no. Is it bad?\" she asks reaching for her well protected bundle of salves. She crouches again as two of warriors fight a bit too close for comfort. The knuckles on her blade go white with the tight grip.

[Arali(#20995)] The Lady Arali blocks Earontir\'s single blow with her shield, pushing the blade away from her as she steps in and takes a swing for the man\'s inner thigh. Her eyes are ablaze with bloodlust...no hatred, only the joy of the kill, much like a predator.

Naiara pushes the healer away from her, shaking her head. \"No, tend others... \" She turns from the girl, and enters another fight. Though, she favors her side, and the fabric of her tunic darkens with wetness.

[Earontil(#18480)] Earontil continues to hold ground against the many attacks that occur, his bladewhisking from side to side, when suddenly he notices Halvaldin being pummeled in mortal combat. Quick are his steps and actions as he moves to Halvaldin, reaching him by his right side, his blade held out in front of him for a few second as he surveys and analyzes the combat and enemies, quickly turning to Halvaldin to give him a reassuring smile, before moving towards Thera, sword high, ready to clash.

[Miragor(#29370)] Seeing that he has at last hurt the man he readies another blow. Yet, first must dodge one form Halvaldin first! He swiftly moves out of the way of the large man\'s sword and thrusts this time for the chest.

Marul readies himself for his enemy\'s attack, and as the Gondorian swings his sword he catches Marul off his guard and cuts a small wound in his leg. With a burst of desparate energy Marul succeeds in thrusting his scimitar into the sailor\'s chest, killing him. The corsair falls to his knees after straining himself so, and calls for help among his companions.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and mildly wounds him!

[Thera(#28206)] With his attention focused on Miragor at the moment, Thera wastes no time and quickly goes in for another charge. Her scimitar is dripping with blood, and more is yet to be shed upon it. Quickly the first mate moves her blade in for another strike.

Earontir steps back again from Arali\'s constant movement and then it happens, his foot catches on the body of the man behind him. For a moment he stumbles but hten his training asserts itself and his foot comes lose and down on the deck. For a younger bladesmaster it would hardly have mattered. For one as old as Earontir though the sudden pop, as his knee gives way under the sudden movement, spells certain doom. Earontir begins to fall forward and a single cry of surprise and pain escapes him.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar, but Halvaldin parries the attack with his Longsword!

[Zigur-Ziguran(#16182)] From the Suleiman the white cloaked Seer, Zigur-Ziguran stands by as he watches the battle ensue. In his hands he holds two wrapped bundles of reeds. These he turns over as a sign to the fates then with his other hand he flings them into the sea.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] Nevertheless, Inzilkhar twist and turn and manage to raise his sword in time. While he stands there, holding his blade against his foe\'s he grins almost as if he where amused. But only for a few seconds, then he try to push Vrael\'s scimitar as weall as his swordarm up and backwards and emidiately lowers himself and his longsword, slicing at the captains stumach.

Inzilkhir attacks Vrael with his Longsword, but Vrael parries the attack with his shield!

Halvaldin, fueled by rage and by Earontil\'s appearance, gains back some ground against his enemies. Allowing the hit to his arm from Miragor, he barrels forward at Thera, spinning to avoid her attack. He punches forward with his sword at her, hoping to ram it through her stomach and then only having to worry about Mirgon.

Halvaldin attacks Thera with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.

Earedail turns from his foe, his enemies foot injury putting him out of the way and off the danger list. Earedail turns then for a moment, the Corsairs before him having evaporated and been pushed towards the middle were the battle still rages. The sudden sound of his fathers cry brings Earedail\'s head around and almost offhandedly he beheads a Corsair who had been trying to sneak up on him. Earedail\'s attentoin is almost fully on Arali and his Father.

[Miragor(#29370)] As Halvaldin moves forward to silence Thera, Miragor seizes upon his opprotunity for another blow to the man\'s leg.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and mildly wounds him!

[Arali(#20995)] The moment that Earontir falls towards the lady Arali\'s razor sharp blade is the moment that the Lady suddenly seems to break out of her trance. She makes no more attack against the man. Instead, she stares dumbly down at him, forgotting the battle raging about her for the time being.

[Thera(#28206)] As Halvaldin punches his sword toward her, Thera is not one that is likely to stick around and with a quick twist of her body, blod shed is avoided. \"You shall regret that, Gondo hound\" the young corsair mutters underneath her breath. Swiftly she sends her Scimitar at him again in a forceful blow, aimed for his shoulder.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar, but Halvaldin parries the attack with his shield!

[Zigur-Ziguran(#16182)] Now reaching into his cloak Zigur-Ziguran removes a handful of dust. This he scatters over the deck of his ship. He looks at it slowly. Nodding, as if satisfied he then reaches under his cloak and removes a thin bladed scimitar. He then cries aloud, \"Umbar shall have its day in the Sun! And with that he heads forth toward his Lady, Arali.

Keani turns from Naiara\'s push and rushes to the side of a fallen corsair whose leg is horribly gashed and bleeding. Kneeling at his side she watches the battle, the dagger ever ready should she need it. Quickly she reaches into the bundle of supplies and pulls out a strip of cloth and a salve. Scooping a good amount of the salve onto her fingers she applies it to the gash and quickly ties the bandage around his leg to slow down the bleeding.

Earontir falls but the sudden lurch of the vessel pushes him onto Arali\'s blade just for a moment it catches his arm and twists him. The sudden pain causes Earontir to drop his blade but it is too soon, or too late, to do so for the old Lord falls upon his own blade, the steel sliding easily through his unarmored stomach. A sudden cry of pain escapes him as he falls.

[Vrael(#21062)] Vrael\'s blade lies useless within his own hand as it is flung backwards from the force of Inzilkhir, who seems vigorous despite his age, and so the shield of the Captain must come to his defense, redirection the impact that would surely have spilled much of the Corsair\'s blood, \"You will die foolish dog, the Eye craves it!\" Regaining his composure from the attacks, Vrael lowers his blade to perhaps strike hard upon the shoulder of his opponent, its crimson form and jagged teeth still stained from the blood of other enemies.

Vrael attacks Inzilkhir with his Scimitar, but he misses by a mile.

Al\'Chadashim continues to roll slightly, away from his foe and away from the raging battle. As he thinks he is reasnably far from the action he tries to stand, though not using the wounded foot for more than help to balance himself. Having almost no mobility whatsoever he slowly moves over behind the battle, using his scimitar as support as well.

[<#28151>] Halvaldin does an equally agilic move, ducking under Thera\'s attack at the last possible moment. The blow by Miragon isn\'t even acknowledged as he thrusts upwards, from his crouched position at Thera, again hoping to end it quickly by opening up her belly. \" For the Sea!\" he shouts.\"For Earontir!\"

Earedail screams as his father falls and the cry of his fathers death seems to merge for a moment with his own. Earedail\'s greatsword seems to be forgotten for but a moment and he then runs at Arali, anger and pain in his voice, \"Earen! Earendor Earen!\" Halvaldin attacks Thera with his Longsword, but he misses by a mile.

Miragor is lost in battle rage and keeps pounding the man.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and mildly wounds him!

[Thera(#28206)] The only response Halvaldin is getting is a chuckle and a few VERY offensive names, as Thera dodges his next attempt to gut her. Quickly she makes her response, in an attempt to drive her scimitar into his belly.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar, but Halvaldin parries the attack with his Longsword!

[Arali(#20995)] The clash of steel and cries of the dying drowns out the gasp that comes from the lady Arali as her opponent impales himself upon his own blade. Instinctively, she reaches down to him, as if shocked by what has happened. Her attention remains fully on him and with her bodyguards otherwise engaged, she makes an easy target.

Earedail charges his unknowing foe, The Lady Arali, and now the bloodrage that had so recently been in her eyes, lies in Earedail\'s eyes, the new Lord of Earendor. But only the thought of avenging a fathers death is upon him and his greatsword whistles through the air as he tries to overhandedly cut his foe in two. Yet his blow is aimed such that it will miss his fathers body, even in death Earedail loves his father more than anything.

You attack Arali with your Greatsword...

[Combat(#13388)->Earedail] Your attack against Arali moderately wounds her!

Halvaldin moves like a man possessed, continuing to not even dodge Miragor\'s attacks, which cut through his leather armour. It is Thera that he is focused on and no one else will stop him from his task of ending her life. Knocking the woman\'s scimitar downwards with his sword he pokes with his shield to draw her attention and then swings a strong attack at her head, hoping to free it from her shoulders.

Halvaldin attacks Thera with his Longsword, but Thera parries the attack with her Scimitar!

[Zigur-Ziguran(#16182)] Coming now to the fore Zigur-Ziguran presses up to the battle and cries even as he stands beside his Lady, \"Indeed the Mistress of Farside shows strength this day. Pharazon, god of greatness! God of Glory! Smite down the Men of Gondor to trade their blood, for our tears.\" [<#25001>] Staggering to his feet, Marul tires of battle and steps back a few feet, away from the centre of the fray. Speaking loudly he says, \"

\" [Naiara(#26795)] Wounded, the priestess fights on, though she is careful of who she takes on as an opponent -- only straining herself in engagement when absolutely necessary. Three times she sweeps in behind the healer as the girl works, relieving the enemy of hands and heads.

[Miragor(#29370)] Now, slowly, beginning to realise that Halvaldin is paying him little head he thrust towards the man\'s own stomach. Miragor furiously attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and lightly wounds him!

[<#29212>] Inzilkhir takes a step to the side, his teeth bare in something that should pass as a smile. And he takes up Halvaldin\'s cry, perhaps to cheer his men up, perhaps to let them know that he lives, or maybe both: \"For the Sea! For Earendor!\" He then moves his sword arm, but it seems as if he takes a long stride forward and tries to stamp with the heel of his boot on Vraels toes as he brings his blade down in a wide arch towards the young captains shoulder.

Inzilkhir attacks Vrael with his Longsword, but he misses by an arm\'s length.

Al\'Chadashim continues to move, finally reaching where a lot of the broken wood from the impact lies. He quickly finds two bigger pieces of wood, placing them alongside his leg. He then rips his sleeves, using the cloth to tie the wood alongside his leg. As he finishes he tries to stand, apparently succeding. A lot slower than he previously was he continues to move, once again into the heat of battle.

[Arali(#20995)] Despite whatever might be going through her mind, Lady Arali\'s most basic instincts kick in as the greatsword comes flying for her. She dives and does an inelegant roll, the blade nonetheless slicing into her calf and sending blood running down her leg. Ignoring the pain, for the adrenaline rushes through her veins, the Lady assesses her opponent and his weapon and begins to back off, towards the rigging and where the battle is great...where his weapon will be difficult to swing.

ARB: Arali has \"passed\" on her turn to attack.

The men of Gondor have tired and the sudden death of their Lord Earontir ahs unsettled those who have taken notice. A few of hte sailors throw down their arms as they are surrounded by others and soon only Inzilikhar\'s squad still fights, the rest either dead or weaponless. The Squad, and Lord Earedail that is. For the fight between Arali and Earedail has suddenly taken the attention of many, from both sides. An unlikely pairing it seems at first, the Lord Earedail dwarfing the Lady Arali, even his sword seems larger than the Lady, but she moves with a grace as strong as his own and carries armor, which is sadly lacking on the Lord Earedail.

Earedail scowls and says, softly it seems so it only carries to a few, \"Who are you devil? Who are you that has killed my father and Lord?\" Earedail leaps forward even as he speaks and his blade swings outwards in a swing that lies on the horizontal. An even swing, but the swings motion is changed suddenly as Earedail tries to hobble his foe, and the blow swing low and towards Arali\'s knees. Earedail tries to keep the quick lady Arali in range of his great blade, almost tempting her as well.

You attack Arali with your Greatsword...

[Combat(#13388)->Earedail] Your attack against Arali severely wounds her!

[Vrael(#21062)] With nimble actions and quick eyes, the Captain of the Suleiman manages to avoid both the vicious toe stomping and the blade of his foe by shifting backwards for but a moment and then stepping swiftly to the side. A fleeting amount of time is taken by the Captain to peer about him, taking in the state of the battle from his rather limited vantage point however, he seems pleased. With a sort of fell vigor, Vrael lashes out in wide swipes at the head and neck of Inzilkhir, but perhaps that pause has allowed the man of Gondor too much time to prepare.

Vrael attacks Inzilkhir with his Scimitar and badly wounds him!

Halvaldin turns just in time to have a blade thrust into his side. Although it doesn\'t go deep, it rends through his flesh and leather armour cruelly gashing open a large wound. He clutches at his side, dropping his shield in the process.

[Combat(#13388)] Halvaldin takes off Studded Leather Shield.

[Marul(#25001)] Standing up as best he can, the rage and hate given way to base instinct to survive, Marul struggles to the side of the ship and jumps off. Falling into the bay, he swims desparately to the Sulieman, grabbing a rope and hauling himself up to safety.

[Arali(#20995)] The Lady jumps back, not even bothering to attempt to block the great sword with her shield. Her swiftness is not enough however and her blade bites into her leg. Grimacing with the pain, the lady offers no reply to the new Lord, she only fights and saves her precious breath. Charging at the man, she swings for his mid-section, attempting to disembowel him and end this fight here and now.

Arali attacks you with her Scimitar!... ...and she hits! Ouch!

ARB: You\'ve been injured for 11 hp\'s by Arali\'s attack... ...you have 71 left. Please RP this injury accordingly.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] Once again in battle, Al\'Chadashim finds part of the battle setteling down. Several Gondorian soldiers are laying wounded or dead and in Als present state he wouldn\'t be able to fight very well. Instead he orders some of Farside\'s soldiers to move in towards the remaining fighting Gondorians as he himself instead gathers weapon from those wonded and throws them into a pile further back on the deck.

[Thera(#28206)] As said eariler, Thera doesn\'t know the meaning of mercy and as soon as Halvaldil moves his attention elsewhere, she is over him like a hawk! Viciously she sends her blade down at the bleeding Gondorian.

Thera attacks Halvaldin with her Scimitar and lightly wounds him!

[Miragor(#29370)] Miragor rends his scimitar back out of the man\'s side. Dripping with blood he tries to quickly reinsert it into the man\'s leg.

Miragor attacks Halvaldin with his Scimitar and lightly wounds him!

Earedail turns as the Lady Arali charges him and tries to move his gut in enough to avoid the blow to his vitals. He swears softly though as the blade bites into his flesh, cutting through the soft shirt he wears as though it wasn\'t even there. The blood flows freely but Earedail has managed to cut to the side of the Lady Arali and he now tries to drive her away from the central battle to where he can use his massive blade more freely. He does so by snapping, in a move that looks painful on the wrists, he brings the blade up and then down at an angle trying to cut through Arali\'s hip and hobble her more.

You attack Arali with your Greatsword... [Combat(#13388)->Earedail] Arali dodges your attack.

[Halvaldin(#28151)] The end comes too soon for Halvaldin, faced with insurmountable odds he is forced to flail violently in all directions only to have his stomach split open by Miragor and then the final blow strikes him in the head as Thera drives her scimitar down. He crumples to the floor of the ship, his blood leaving his body in waves. The end has come for Halvaldin, sea guard of Gondor and he shall never see his beloved land again.

[Arali(#20995)] Fighting close in and determined to stay there, the Lady Arali easily sidesteps the move, her left leg now dragging slightly as her injuries began to take their toll. Pulling her arm back, she swings with all her remaining might towards the already injured midsection, attempting to finish off this deadly opponent in the second blow.

Arali attacks you with her Scimitar!... ...and she hits! Ouch!

ARB: You\'ve been injured for 8 hp\'s by Arali\'s attack... ...you have 63 left. Please RP this injury accordingly.

Thera glances down at the lifeless body of Halvaldin, and with a broad grin on her face she gives the limp body a harsh kick before she gives a slight nod and a smile to Miragor. \"This is one that shall never see the light of day again\" She murmurs, and with those words she walks away.

[Miragor(#29370)] Seeing his enemy fall, Miragor does not watch him hit the ground, instead looking quickly for another opponent. He runs off in the direction of metal hitting metal.

Naiara finds herself at the far side of the deck of the ship, with no one in front of her, nor behind her. She blinks, wiping at her forehead with a bloody hand, effectively smearing the blood worse, as she looks around. She wipes her scimitar off on the shirt of a nearby corpse, and puts it away. Systematically, she begins to crawl from body to body, seeking those that yet live of her fellow Haradrim, slitting throats of Gondorians who seem to still be alive as well with a spare dagger pulled from her boots.

Earedail turns slightly and takes the ladies blade on his arm instead. He swears profusely as the corsair scimitar bites deeply into his arm. \"Woman, who are you? Answer me.\" Earedail moves back just a tiny bit and then leans as he swings the blade opposite the way it came, up and to the right, trying to pay the Lady Arali back for his stomach wound which is still bleeding.

You attack Arali with your Greatsword...

[Combat(#13388)->Earedail] Your attack against Arali terribly wounds her!

[Combat(#13388)] Thera wipes any blood off her scimitar and slides it back into its sheathe.

[Inzilkhir(#29212)] Perhaps the old guardsman, ever faithful and loyal to his lord, has perhaps noticed that the battle is dying around him. Maybe he has seen the good and a great deal of the bad sides in life. And maybe he is weary of this life. But that is alot of perhaps and maybe. Certain it is though that he looses his grip of the shield and it falls to the deck with a thud. And during the young captains pause, a heavy sigh leaves Inzilkhar the old as he lift his longsword before him in two hands. And just before blade falls he close his eyes.... thump. The grey -- almost white bearded head rolls lifeless upon the deck and is soon followed by the corpse, blood spurting from the neck.

[Vrael(#21062)] The Serpento, the vessel of Umbar that had refrained from joining the conflict, now sits but half a mile away from the battle, and still it lies unused it\'s Corsairs seemingly aware that they will not be needed and yet assumedly saddened by this as well. However, those men and women that still fight with valour and with courage upon the Tiranga continue their deadly rampage across its deck, blood runs thick and bodies thicker, many having been lost to both sides but it is the Gondorian force that has suffered the greatest lost. The Captain of the Suleiman smiles, almost pleasantly, at his adept strike upon the foe before him, watching with glee as the scimitar he wields deals such a horrible blow. But such happiness is short lived amongst the din of the battle and his smile is stolen by the fierce attack from Earedail upon Arali which catches the keen eye or the Corsair.

[Arali(#20995)] The blade hits true, only the Lady\'s armour saving her from a fatal blow. Gasping as the wind is knocked out of her, her eyes light afire with a pure and primal rage. Screaming, she stubbornly refuses to give in and hacks at the man\'s neck now. The Lady has grown weary from exertion and blood loss, her movements no longer retain their former elegance.

Arali attacks you with her Scimitar!... ...and she hits! Ouch!

ARB: You\'ve been injured for 4 hp\'s by Arali\'s attack... ...you have 59 left. Please RP this injury accordingly.

Earedail beats down the Lady Arali\'s blade, but the blade is too close, and it catches on his hip even as it is beat away. The blade clangs duly and Earedail takes a step back. He slips on Inzilkhir\'s head as he steps back. His sword, out of control now slams into the mast and suddenly a line, leading up the mast, snaps under the blades pressure. The sudden release of tension releases one of the spars from above and Earedail, still trying to regain his balance, is struck by the spar and thrown to the ground, unconcious or dead, it is hard to say.

Earontil never sees the blade that comes from behind him. Freed from the pressure of Halvaldin and Inzilkhir, one of the corsairs had snuck up on the Sea Guard Captain and even as the Captain strikes down a corsair, the enemies blade slides between his ribs, exiting through his chest. Earontil goes down, coughing up blood and his last words are, \"I am sorry m\'lord.\"

[Combat(#13388)] Naiara slides her scimitar back into its sheath with a quiet hiss.

[Naiara(#26795)] At the outer edges of the battle, clean-up has begun. Those too severely wounded to make it back to the Suleiman on their own are assisted by those who can. The healer, and the High Priestess, do what they can for those who need help the most.

[Arali(#20995)] Gasping in pain and wincing with every breath, the Lady Arali drops to her knees and as if waking from a dream, peers about her. Seeing the battle is finished and the day is theirs, the Lady drops her shield. As those of her bodyguards who are uninjured rush to her, she merely hands off her scimitar and wobbles back to her feet. \"No...wait...,\" and she pushes them away. Removing her helmet, the Lady walks towards the still form of Earedail.

[Vrael(#21062)] Taking the moment of his victory to further peruse the situation now nearly ended, Vrael smiles once more as the body of Earedail falls away from the Lady of Farside and his own weapon seems to become his enemy, \"The Eye sought vengeance and so it has received!\" he calls forth, speaking to those of Umbar and mocking those of Gondor that still live, however few.

Al\'Chadashim grabs a large sword he finds among the bodies, using it to help himself stand more properly. He hops in towards the lady of Farside as she is obviously seriously wounded from her fight with his previous opponent.

[Naiara(#26795)] On their second trip back to the Suleiman, the High Priestess takes one of the healer\'s bandages, and collapses by the railing, pressing it to the wound on her side. She rests her head against the railing, and lets consciousness slip away.

Earedail groans slightly and rolls over, the spar off to one side of him. A large lump is visible on his forehead and he comes to his knees. His eyes are bleary as he gropes for his massive sword.

[Al\'Chadashim(#21466)] Having surveyed the remainder of the battle for a short while Al\'Chadashim moves slowly back towards the Suleiman. As he comes closer he see\'s the High priestess collapse by the railing and he increases his speed as much as possible to reach her. Once there he checks that she is still alive.

[Arali(#20995)] One of the first thing Earedail feels when he returns to consciousness is the Lady\'s boot firmly crushing his wrist, \"Take the weapon...it is the property of Farside now,\" she orders her men. She then kneels down and grabbing Earedail\'s hair, forces him to look up at her, her helmet removed and strands of silky black hair plastered to her brow, \"You asked for my name,\" she says softly, \"Araliara bin-Garad bin-Hassad al-Sayf Fairhonanth, daughter of Ravenwyr. I am sorry I killed your father, I would have rather killed you.\" Letting him go, she rises and looks to the rest of her fellow corsairs, \"Captain Vrael! Is this ship yet seaworthy? What a grand prize it would make!\"

[Vrael(#21062)] Bending down nigh to one of the Northmen\'s dead, Vrael tears at a piece of the man\'s uniform, taking the cloth and wiping it cleanly over his bloodied blade which now becomes blackened once more. Sheathing the scimitar, the Captain of the Suleiman makes his way through the thicket of dead towards Arali to whom he now answers, \"It has not sunk yet has it? It would appear that the collision merely wounded its hull, should be able to limp back to port soon enough.\" To the others who wander about the deck of the Tiranga the Captain now speaks, \"Search belowdecks for the loot, there\'s bound to be piles of it for the takin\'!\"

Earedail scowls as his hair is pulled back, bringing his head back. He stares at his foe and his eyes are full of hatred. His voice, thick with emotion and with the lingering effects of the blow from the spar, still carries, \"I will be sure to see that you do become sorry that you have killed my father lady Araliara. My own spirit and my fathers will haunt you for all eternity and my house will hunt you down like the animals you are.\" Earedail nearly takes a step to his feet, ignoring the boot upon his hand, until the sound of blades, the Lady Arali\'s guards, stop him and breaks through the madness upon him.

[Naiara(#26795)] Naiara does indeed yet breathe, though it is shallow and pain-wracked. She coughs, almost conscious once more, but does not stir fully.

Al\'Chadashim sits down next to the wounded High Priestess, or at least he tries to sit down, something which is rather difficult with his wounded foot. He calls loudly for some healers, motioning them over and at the same time offering to help the High priestess in whatever way she should require it.

[Arali(#20995)] Slapping Earedail for his arrogance, the lady rises and kicks the man in the side like a dog. Find a dinghy and toss him aboard it, along with the rest of the survivors and the dead Lord. Let the Gondorians find their rotting corpses out to sea! Let them see the results of defying Umbar!\" Suddenly, the Lady wavers on her feet and one of her bodyguards rushes to her. Leaning upon him, she whispers, \"See that farside has its share of the loot. Else this is all in vain.\"

Earedail falls unconcious as the lady kicks him, the blow to his head taking it\'s toll. He does not even notice when she throws him overboard onto the dingy. The boat floats off and a gentle current draws it away from the Corsairs and the former Tiranga, and towards the coast of Gondor.

[Vrael(#21062)] Brushing himself off of the filth of battle, Vrael tends to his cloak and begins to stride closer to the Lady of Farside while many Corsairs walk about and take what they may, \"You took quite a blow my Lady...\" he speaks lowly, \"You should see to your wounds.\"
