Where
Minas Tirith

A small gathering at the White Tree Inn, news of the Dark Messenger Azrubel is passed to the guard Galihar. Elowyn and Faengor talk of other things

Krisorn enters through the door and his voice rises loudly above that of those present as he smiles, \"Well met everybody! The day is yet young so don\'t anybody start slowing down now!\" Krisorn moves lightly through the people and stops occasionally to talk to different people sitting here and there, most workers with wood of some sort and he nods as he hears different things.

[Galihar(#28646)] Entering the tavern with a modest display of courtesy and silence, Galihar scans the well-packed room with his searching eyes. As he notices many of the Silver Ship within among the hosts of the White Tree Inn, his face lightens slowly and his lips curl into a subtle smile. Walking with a large stride and a steady balance, Galihar makes his way to the bar -- making sure not to sit near anyone. His eyes continue to roam as he politely asks the barmaid for a tall mug of lagger. He seems to be in quiet thought, or perhaps a modest and timid mood.

[Elowyn(#1325)] \"Surely you have some goals in your life. Other than being a good soldier that might get some fame in battle?\" The soft voice of Elowyn is mostly drown out in the boisterous crowd as they sing baudy drinking song and cheer out drunkenly. \"Do you wish to become a Commander, like...Gald...\" She stops to think of someone else but the country bumpkin. \"Commander Ingold? or the Captain General, Boromor?\"

Faengor laughs at Elowyn\'s words. \"I\'m sure that everyone dreams of becoming a commander or even Captain general but those are dreams that only a few will ever reach.\" Faengor grins softly, \"I have seen many men promoted ahead of me and I must say ... when I look at these men I admire them. I doubt if I will ever have the qualities that make for a strong officer.\" Faengor speaks with gleamy eyes.

Krisorn laughs loudly as one of the bar maids spins away from him after murmuring something softly to him. He turns to a group of lumberjacks from the looks of them and with a wide grin he jumps into their terribly off key, off beat and rather bawdy song without the least hesitation. He stays within that group for a verse or two before making his way to the bar and seeing Galihar moves towards him, waving to the bartender, who instantly recognizes Krisorn and moves a drink towards him next to Galihar\'s lagger.

[Galihar(#28646)] Looking to the bar maid with a curious twist of his brow, Galihar watches as she prepares a drink and sets it besides his own. Looking for a brief moment to the bar maid with a hint of confusion, he quickly preceives the coming of Krisorn from behind. Turning halfway upon his stool, his face remains calm and collective as Krisorn approaches. With a respective bow from the head, Galihar greets his fellow Gaurd with a low-toned, rolling and rich voice, \"Good day m\'friend -- you come for a drink with me?\" He chuckles, if to himself by the volume, but indeed his face shows the signs of the welcome of company.

Elowyn shrugs slightly \"I am sure you could become an excellent officer, but not with that type of attitude. You need to push yourself forward. You are of noble blood, Faengor. You have be brought up to lead these...Soldiers.\" Shake shakes her head slightly. \"Push yourself forward. Take control and make you father proud of your accomplishments.\"

Krisorn grins good naturedly and says, \"Aye. For indeed I would not with to drink at you my friend.\" Krisorn picks up the drink, a whiskey mixed slightly with other liquids of some sort, and takes a drink and raises it in salute to those who tend the bar. He turns back to Galihar and the rest of the tavern, leaning lightly on the edge of the bar. \"It is good to see people still celebrating and not worrying about things. The recent events within the city I felt would surely cause a darkening of the moods about even here. I am glad to see I was wrong.\"

[Galihar(#28646)] Nodding with quick agreement, Galihar continues to sip at his mug while Krisorn continues to speak. At length, after his fellow Gaurd finishes his piece, Galihar continues in his low-toned fashion, \"Aye, tis very well to see celebration before my eyes and in the city -- however, I have been on leave to visit my family. Here has been my frist place besides checking in with Galdorim I have come pray tell me, what has been happening in the city?\" His eyes narrow slightly as he sets his mug down, willing to listen with a more intent ear.

Faengor grins, \"You are excagerating elowyn\" a blush apears on Faengor\'s face as he hears her words. \"I am but a man trying to serve Minas Tirith and I will serve it where it is most needed.\" Faengor turns his head to the rowdy man already having an idea of who it might be and when he perceives Krisorn his thoughts are confirmed. Faengor turns back to Elowyn as he points at Krisorn, \"I know that you think lightly of Galdorim and that you see him as a rowdy peasant but look at Krisorn. He is a rowdy lumberjack that knows nothing of fine wine but look at how he lifts the morale of our soldiers? He is a born officer.\"

Krisorn turns in surprise to Galihar and then nods, \"Ahh I see. You have been lucky indeed then Galihar. You know, I hope, of how the Commander was poisoned. His health took a bad turn and he was then treated by Dearen, a healer of the hall who, it turns out, was actually poisoning him further. It seems that somebody has agents deep within the city. I, myself, came across two guardsmen who had slain an innocent woman. Though both of them escaped they are marked by me.. And I will find them.\" Krisorn\'s eyes turn a flinty grey as the light reflects from them and bared steel lies in that brooding face for a moment, \"A messenger though has made his presence known in the city, one Azrubel, a man of nearly purest numenorean blood, who has warned off the Commander from further inquiries into these matters, a course of action the Commander has no interest in following. Azrubel, dark messenger that he is, and fiend, has some part in all of this yet I have not figured out what it is. He too is marked.. He is a master with his blade and moves as lightly as even the steward and his sons. But I have yet to see if he can escape all of the guard at once..\"

Elowyn \'s gaze turns towards Krisorn. She nods slowly as she listens to Faengor\'s words. \"Sure he is a leader of woodmen and commoners, but nobles would hestitate on following a man such as him. Unless he was proven in battle and earned thier respect.\" She chuckles and looks back to Faengor. \"You are from a good family. The Noble soldier\'s might look to you, if you would just step forward instead of settleing for running messages for a back woods Commander.\"

[Galihar(#28646)] Looking up towards Krisorn with much concern in his deep-set, grey eyes, Galihar slowly makes for his mug again as the new information takes hold on his mind. He remains silent for a brief moment as he drains the rest of his lager. Looking up to Krisorn again, his voice takes on a saddened tone, \"That is ill news indeed. However, if you need my aid in any event, I will be here -- for Galdorim.\" His face remains grave as he calls for one more mug.

Faengor nods. \"An army is not composed of noblemen Elowyn. The commoners and the woodmen that you talk about so lightly are those who give their lives for Minas Tirith.\" Faengor takes another sip from his glass of wine emptying the glass. \"But tell me Elowyn, what are your ambitions?\"

[Elowyn(#1325)] \"You still belittle yourself, Faengor.\" Elowyn then takes a sips of her fine wine as she looks to the messenger. \"You could be so much better...\" She smiles slyly \"As with my ambitions. I desire to become the Guildmaster of the Merchant\'s guild here in Minas Tirith. To control trade through the Provences around Minas Tirith. To be looked up to for my own merits and not just inheriting my father\'s trade routes.\"

Krisorn nods to Galihar and says, \"Indeed. I will keep that in mind and should I need help, of any sort, I will send a message to you. For now the best we can do is keep our eyes and ears open and look to find traces of our enemy within our ranks and to try and determine their plan. For whatever foul purposes they are about we must stop them.\" Krisorn sighs a little and then shrugs, \"But in truth beyond these strange tidings and the arrival of that dark messenger little else has been happening. The Commander is recovering well under the care of the Lady Aearwen.\" Krisorn nods over towards the table where Elowyn and Faengor sit and says, \"And the Commanders messenger, Faengor, has been doing quite well. A feisty young man. If he learns to temper his anger with patience he\'ll turn into a fiery officer. But he\'s young enough yet that caution isn\'t as necessary as it will be. And he takes orders quite well.\" Krisorn smiles and says, \"Tell me Galihar. What squad are you a part of again?\"

Faengor nods as he refills his glass with the Belfalan wine and as he holds the bottle above that of Elowyn\'s he motions her with his eyes if she would like a refill. \"Ambitious indeed Elowyn, I hold no doubt that one day you will be.\" Faengor looks to Krisorn for a second noticing the conversation he and Galahir are in but he keeps his silence and turns back to Elowyn with a gleamy look waiting her response.

[Galihar(#28646)] \"I would appreciate it dearly if message came my way in need of help, Krisorn. Galdorim\'s well-being, as for the rest of the Gaurd\'s, is quite important to me.\" With that, he slolwy sips from his newly filled mug and listens to Krisorn\'s question, \"Third Squad good sir, however -- I\'m very new to the city. Liking it well, I may add.\" His eyes roam to Faengor and the lady near him they rest on both figures, boring invisble holes into them.

Elowyn glances over to Krisorn and Galihar as they talk. She slides her half-full glass towards Faengor to allow himt o refill it. She smirks slightly with distaste as she hears the follows of Galdorim speak highly of him and wishing him good health. She shakes her head slightly and turns towards Faengor with a warm smile. \"Thank you, Faengor. I believe I am on my wiay with the Monopoly that the Lord Steward granted me..\"

Faengor nods and refills the glass of Elowyn and as he refills he speaks. \"I admire your cunningness Elowyn, truly you are an excellent merchant and to sway the Lord Steward into giving you a monopoly is not an easy task I\'m sure.\" Faengor sets the battle down on the table after having refilled her glass and shoves it back to her. Taking his own glass he takes another sip of it looking at Elowyn as he awaits her reply.

Krisorn watches Galihar for a moment and then nods, \"Indeed. Third squad.\" Krisorn seems to think for a moment before nodding, \"A pretty good squad indeed.\" Krisorn turns back to the crowd of people looks out over them. He grins at the bar maids as they go by and all return the smile witha flirtatious look. He chuckles and then waves a hand at one of the lumber jacks who\'s pulled out a fiddle. With a grin the man responds and quickly starts up a lively dancing tune, bawdy but lively.

Galihar remains in deep thought, his eyes looking as if they were bringing up thoughts of a troubled past. With a silent stand from his stool, Galihar bows deeply and says to Krisorn, \"I must be off now...be sure to find me if the time arises -- we shall speak again in the future.\" With a small smile, he heads out of the tavern.

Elowyn chuckles and shakes her head. The veil of beaded hair before the right side of her fair face sways slightly. \"It was no cunning on my part. I made myself visable to the Lord Steward when I had a trade war with the Clothier\'s guild.\"

Faengor chuckles on his side about Elowyn\'s words. \"I\'m sure it wasn\'t easy Elowyn but pray tell, what do you trade?\" Faengor watches Elowyn as her hair sways wondering why she is always so afraid about it.

Krisorn watches the amusement from away, and is soon lost in the crowd.
