Mirkwood

The view is blocked in most directions by towering dark trunks, holding heavy and crooked boughs hight above the ground. The gloomy ancient forest seems to draw more and more strenght from you as you travel deeper. Beneath you feets the forestbottom is frozen and around you the midday winter air is chilly.

The dim light hurt your eyes a little, but you think you can make out a gap between the trees west of you.

The slender rays of daylight finding their way between the boughs, indicate that the sky above is cloudy.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

Blackness and gloom lies inside Mirkwood, for the midday sun that sits overhead fails to break far through the eaves of the wood. The orc force has pushed onward deeper into the forest, and their camps have been set up once more. Orcish activity is as rowdy as ever, and made moreso perhaps due to the time of day: there is a line forming as eager and hungry uruks await to be given their share of lunch handed out by the cooks of the Eye. Shouts and pushes erupt as some of them become impatient.

And not too far away from this scene, the entrance to a large black tents parts, and one among the shamans steps out. Bagurat peers about from behind her beaked mask for a moment, and makes her own way toward this lunch-line.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Approaching the cluster of makeshift lines is the Uruk Scout Commander Gulok, his is rather overweight for a scout but as he walks he spots the shaman and his head hangs, shoving one of the Uruks out of the way he begins to waddle his way over towards her, taking a large drink of grog from a flask he returns it to his side and says \"You ordered my presence Shaman..\" his tone is one of half annoyance half fear.

[Vishnak(#30445)] At one of the huge pots stands a tiny orc, with a large ladle in his hand, Vishnak starts pouring some kind of stew into whatever forms of utensils serves at the warrior\'s bowls. It is obvious there is some favoritism, larger orcs gets larger shares. Not out of some general concern of individual needs, but rather - larger orcs hits harder if they don\'t get what they need.

The snaga looks out over the line, and sees how the shaman and the commander appears making for the line. He quickly hands off what seems to be a helmet that serves as a bowl for an orc. The he turns around and gets a real proper copper bowl from a stand next to him and fills it to the brim with the grey, steaming substance in his pot. He then waves towards the shaman to come get hers - placing it next to him, keeping a jealous look at it, so nobody snatches it away, after which he growls, \"Next!\"

[Witch-king(#28583)]

Next in line is a scrawny, lanky orc with livid red eyes, and a black tongue licks at yellow fangs idly as he steps forth. He holds out a bowl to receive his meal, grunting to Vishnak as though to hurry him up.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

The witch-orc pauses, shifting her gaze to peer at the large orc who approaches and addresses her. \"Indeed, I did. Any idea why that might be..commander?\" she hisses the title with disdain. \"Wait a moment,\" says Baguart after she glances back at the lines -- which have now begun to deform into more of a swarming sea of orcish bodies -- and she slips off. Ignoring the fact the other uruks may be awaiting their turn, she stalks before them all, and snatches up the bowl. And with a nod to the small cook, she stays there, raising a hand to indicate the commander should come over.

Vishnak looks over at the smaller orc that is sure it is his time. He still has to wait his turn, however, as it seems that the hand-out is being somewhat over-run. Now it\'s time to be better safe than sorry. So, other larger orcs tends to get their servings quicker.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

An obviously fake grin upon his face the Scout Commander grunts and waddles his way over, as he approaches the cook he sniffs the food and grunts again. Then looking to the shaman he says \"I have no idea shaman, I was told to see you by one of my scouts..\" disdain is obvious in his voice as he say this.

[Zulgozz(#11429)] A small, hunched orc looks around viciously, wondering if he will actually get any food and pushes his way foward in the que, as he is starving and needs his fill.

[Witch-king(#28583)]

The lanky orc standing before Vishnak is quick to get out of Bagurat\'s way as the Shaman walks over, and though he still bears an empty bowl he -- perhaps wisely -- makes not mention of it, merely bowing his head to the infamous witch-orc.

Vishnak works as fast as he can, and it seems that the food is running out. After a while, he stands back a few steps. \"Last servin\'.\" he announces. \"Won\'t be nothin\' more for a while, less some of ya lazies get out and get more supplies.\" He looks around expectantly - perhaps there will be a fight over the last serving.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

Indeed there might be a fight. Time will tell...

\"Well, according to your scout,\" the shaman explains, the yellow eyes glinting briefly from inside the crow-helm, \"your command, /commander/ has been poor of late. Failure has been blamed on you.\" Bagurat snorts a little, lazily swirling the grey stew in her bowl for a moment, thought she keeps her gaze on the other orc.

[Zulgozz(#11429)] The small orc grabs a bowl quickly, and pushes hard to get the last morsel of food from the giant cook pot ... and hopes it is worth the shoving and that it tastes good!

Vishnak smiles to himself and calls over the crowd. \"Commander! SOmeone is trying ta get yerr grub!\"

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Paying no attention to his food the Scout Commander begins to shake slightly as he hears that the blame is upon him. Stuttering he says \"I..I..I um, I did not know I was failing. Umm I think. I can do better?\" his hand slowly goes to the hilt of his scimitar as he speaks.

Vishnak sees that the commander isn\'t much interested in a meal, so, he just stands back, letting the small orc get his share. Someone is bound to challenge him for it.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

Bagurat\'s glare takes notice of the scimitar-searching hand, but she makes no reaction just yet. \"Don\'t lie,\" she warns. \"I have sent that scout of yours multiple times to remind you and the others to do a better job...you must be deaf, then, incompetent fool.\"

Meanwhile, another orc seems to be interested in the commander\'s meal, and the snaga skips forward. \"Me, me, I\'s wantsa more!\" He holds out his bowl to Vishnak expectantly, drooling a bit.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Hearing the words of the shaman the Scout Commander once again begins to shake and stutter as he says \"I..I.. I was warned yes, but, but, I though that, umm, umm, that you..\" hanging his head he says \"I try..\"

Vishnak grins menacingly. He points at the pot. \"Last serving. Help yerself.\" To make it more interesting, he wipes his sweaty forhead with his hand, and waves the same hand at the pot, some moisture makes its way down. \"I even get s\'more spice for ya!\" He laughs. They want food, they eat the way he makes it.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

The hungry orc scowls at the extra \'flavor\' but he goes to scoop some more up nevertheless. Unfortunately this slave, tiny and clumsy as he is, emits a yell, as he leans too far over. There is a splash as he falls headfirst into the pot and its hot stew. \"Out! Get me out, skai! Burns!\"

Claws scrape against the copper bowl as the witch-orc listens to the stuttering of the scout-leader, and she growls. \"You cannot even control your tongue, worm, nevermind a party of trackers. The Eye doesn\'t need useless soldiers. Let me rid Him of one...\" her own bowl is tossed to the side, and a grating of steel heralds the drawing of Bagurat\'s scimitar.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

As the blade of the shaman is drawn, the Scout commander waddles backwards, rather quickly by all accounts. As he moves he says \"I, I, But Shaman, I can handle them..\" Then as he rambles and stutters he reaches for his scimitar and tries to draw it.. Though it catches on his large gut and he struggles to draw his crude weapon.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

\"You fail again,\" snorts the shaman nastily as she watches the commander\'s blade-drawing attempt. When next she speaks the tone has turned evilly cold. \"But for the last time.\" And stealing a pace forward, Bagurat flings her weapon out for the large orc\'s side.

Vishnak looks startled at first - the tiny orc actually fell down in his pot. He is stunned by this fact for a second, then he lets out a hearty belly-laugh. \"Looks like orc\'s on tha menu!\" he yells so that everyone can hear.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Finally drawing his blade the Uruk Commander looks up.. But as he does so he screeches in pain as the shamans blade cuts a deep gash in his large belly.. Blood begins to flow freely from his stomach, still screeching he takes a swing with his scimitar, aimed for the shoulder of the shaman, though with his other arm he tries to hold his large wound, and keep his innards from spilling out.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

A raucous cheer goes up at the cook\'s announcement, and the disordely horde pushes and shoves forward again. \"Serve us some more, eh? Some of us is still hungry!\"

Indeed, it seems more orc will be for dinner soon, unless the commander proves to be more skilled than he appears. Bagurat hisses as the other\'s sword sails for her shoulder, and she twists away like a snake but it is not quite fast enough, and a large tear is won in her black robes. Heedless to this, she raises her blade once more, and aims it for her opponent\'s weapon-hand.

Vishnak chuckles. \"The scolded orc in the pot is all there is. But there\'s stew on him to make taste better!\" he points at the almost empty pot, with no contents save for the snaga inside of it.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

To worried about the large wound at his side and trying to keep his innards inside the Uruk Commander does not move fast enough to evade the second attack by the shaman, for the shamans blade cuts cleanly though his hand, severing it at mid forearm. Screaming in pain he screeches \"You will die Witch!!\" and with that he lunges at the shaman as if trying to tackle her, blood flowing from his severed arm spewing out of the wound and most likely all over the shaman unless she moves swiftly.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

A whimpering comes from the pot as the snaga struggles to claw his way out feebly, covered in searing burns. But then he stops and falls limply lifeless. \"I wants \'im!\" \"No, me, me!\" And an argument breaks out with fresh snarling. An officer had best get this lot under control.

As the commander makes his daring tackle, the \'witch\'s\' eyes widen in surprise, clearly not expecting the chosen manuever. Thus it is caught unprepared, she falls backward, with the larger orc ontop. But even as she goes down, the scimitar is brought up, to point straight out, seeking to impale the commander upon it.

Vishnak just relaxes now, admiring his handywork. Sure, he might get a yelling and a beating for this, and he\'ll have to clear out the pot and the mess. But this is his moment, and he\'s going to enoy the chaos he has brought upon the camp, among larger orcs that shoves him around everyday. This is much better than spitting in their food.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

As he falls atop the shaman, her blade does skewer the commander, thrusting up though his large gut and exiting his large body at the base of his neck. Blood begins to pour feely from his wounds, coughing as he slowly dies.. Hissing in pain as blood flows from his mouth, possibly pouring all over the shamans face if she is not careful. The Scout Commander is dead, his gut split open, his hand chopped off, and skewered like a pig, a bloody mess he is now.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

The excitement and shouting over the poor cooked snaga carries on for some time, and it is not until a higher ranking Rakarg barks orders that they finally begin to hush. \"Alright, you blasted rats! Shut your mouths! Get back to work, or I\'ll gut you all myself!\" Grumbling and shooting glares at their superior, the other orcs begin to disperse.

The scout-leader\'s blood adds new morbid decoration to the beaked mask the shaman wears. Gasping for breath with his dead weight squashing her into the ground, Bagurat wriggles herself out from under him. An unpleasant laugh of triumph sounds as she pushes herself to her feet and stands high next to the motionless shape.

[Vishnak(#30445)] And not far from this scene of death and mutilation, a larger orc swings his helmet as a weapon in the head of smaller orc. This is the starting point of a general brawl, and the first price is appearantly eating the snaga who fell in the pot.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Coming upon the scene is the Uruk Scout Bugzlok, seeing all the Uruks gathered he shoves his way to the front, upon seeing the dead and skewered body laying atop the shaman he rushes over, as he moves she wiggles out from underneath him. As he nears he gives the dead body a good kick and bows his head saying \"Shaman. I see you made quick work of this pig..\" a undertone of amusement in his crude voice.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

The witch-orc whirls about as another voice speaks close by, her black garments swirling about and the bloodied blade still in her claws. But when she espies who the newcomer is, she relaxes, and a nod of her mask is given. \"I have. That thorn has been removed, and now a more able-bodied soldier must take its place to fix what has been spoiled by poor leadership.\" Bagurat pauses, her head tilting as if in consideration. \"How would you like a higher place among the scouts?\"

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Upon hearing the words of the Shaman, the Uruk scout bows his head and says \"I will whip the scouts back in to shape shaman, unlike this fat fool who allowed them to be lazy and sleep when they should have been tracking.\" the looking to the dead fat body of the former Scout Commander he spits upon him and then returns his look to the shaman and bowing his head once again \"I would savor the opportunity.\"

[Bagurat(#24847)]

\"Enough, I said! Stop it! Back to your tasks!\" the Rakarg bellows, bringing out a whip and snapping it threateningly over the heads of some of the more unruly orcs.

[Bagurat(#24847)]

With another nod of approval, the shaman supplies, \"Then I name you now Logaz for the Eye. It is the next step up from our normal warriors, and will grant you authority over them, to a certain degree. See that more order and discipline finds its way into the ranks of the scouts.\"

[Vishnak(#30445)] The final orcs seems to calm down, and the scene quiets down a bit at the threats of the Rakarg, and soon there is only the boiled orc down on the ground, seemingly alive, but weak and whimpering. Vishnak looks over at the Rakarg. \"Seems ya got th\'last bite, boss.\" he says. \"This is what\'s left, if you want it.\" The snaga points at his unlucky brethren on the ground.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Hearing the words of the shaman, Bugzlok bows his head once again and says \"I will see that the Scouts are once again a force of fear among our armies shaman.. \" Grunting he kicks the body of the former commander and says \"I will ensure his mistakes are fixed.\"

[Bagurat(#24847)]

Swaggering forward as the crowd breaks up, the Rakarg yields a fanged grin in response. \"Stupid fool,\" he nods at the burned orc, giving him a kick with an iron-shod boot. Then, snickering to himself and grunting thanks to the cook, he tears off one of the snaga\'s arms and munches on it. A pleasant sight to be certain.

\"Good, good,\" answers Bagurat to Bugzlok, and she stows her dirty scimitar away. \"I have faith in you. See it done.\" Another swishing of robes and the witch-orc turns away.

[Bugzlok(#11425)]

Bowing his head as the Shaman leaves, Bugzlok turn about, spitting upon the dead commander he too leaves, moving off into the camp a sly and evil grin up his dark tattooed face.

Vishnak grins again. \"Enjoy. I boiled\'m myself.\" He then gets busy lifting the giant pot, much larger than himself. It\'s back to business. The snaga sighs. But he has one of the best few minutes of his life.
