Flossie
Flossie is a young hobbit girl, quite ordinary-looking. She is of average height and plump build, as hobbits usually go, but a little on the tall side, which makes her look less pudgy for a hobbit lass to be thought pretty. The girl has small features, a short bulbous nose, and wide-set dark-brown eyes with thick eyelashes that are almost black. She looks as fresh as a daisy with her plump rosy cheeks, despite the pale complexion, a sure sign that she must be avoiding direct sunlight. Her tight curls are in abundance and quite unruly despite the attempt to hold them back with a wide headband.
A long light-green cotton dress, with puffed sleeves and a gently gathered raised waist, loosely cascades over the girl\'s figure. She has several strings of multicolored beads around her neck, with a pendant in the from of a horseshoe attached to the lower string. Her thick, dark foothair make her quite comfortable without any footwear.

Boldibad
This is a hobbit of average height. His weight is, by Shire standards, respectable. Reddish, brown hair adorns his head, kept a couple of inches long and a little curly. His nose stands prominently out on his face, looking somewhat bulbous. Dimples peek out from each side of his mouth from time to time.
Trousers of a dark brown color adorn his lower half. A belt of black leather has been wrapped about his waist. The cuffs brush the top of his curled foothair.
A white, cotton shirt is worn under a finely-made waistcoat of dark green with a gold-embroidered checker design. The stem of a pipe protrudes from his one breast pocket, which resides on his left side.
This hobbit\'s feet are not adorned by any form of shoe or boot. The hair that grows there is trimmed and combed nicely.

Longbottom
The small town of Longbottom is bustling with folk a large white tent has been raised in the center of the town, and under it several stalls holding pipeweed are set up. Everywhere you look you see hobbits, and even the occasional Big Folk, chatting and smoking pipeweed. Several wagons are parked along the white fence of the Hornblower Plantation, no doubt belonging to travelers attending the festival. Near to the Tin Whistle, on the west side of the town, another tent is set up. This one provides cover for the serving of drinks, as well as some games and tables to sit and relax amidst the frenzy of activity. Dotted around the area of the town center, making the true heart of any hobbit festival, are several tables offering varied tasty treats for sale, each representing the very best culinary offerings of the hobbit in command.

As the last rays of the sun tuck below the horizon, Boldibad Bolger comes traipsing through the grass on the edge of the Hornblower Plantation, and comes through the gate. Shutting it carefully behind him, he pulls his pipe from his mouth and takes a moment to look around the town, which still has some activity, even though it\'s night-time. He seems to have a look of satisfaction, perhaps having just finished a meal. He then makes his way toward the center of town.
Flossie Goodbody, with a happy look to her face, merrily humming some tune is walking towards the center of the place from the Tin Whistle. She has a medium-sized basket over her left hand and a half-eaten muffin in her right hand. Despite the late hour, light is still streaming from many windows and it is not yet fully dark. The young woman is looking around with interest, occasionally returning it to her muffin that is rapidly fading.
Boldibad shakes his head contentedly, looking over his shoulder at the plantation as he walks. \"Those Hornblowers sure are good folk,\" he mumbles. He doesn\'t seem to be paying attention as he walks directly toward Flossie, smoke streaming from his pipe.
Flossie takes one step aside when seeing Boldibad approach so as not to allow her basket collide with him. Her avid interest to the surrounding place and hobbits that are still are walking around there instead of the snug comfort of their homes, makes he alert enough to see any imminent danger of walking into someone. \"Are they?\" she asked interestedly, as if the words were addressed to her.
Boldibad starts and nearly stumbles in surprise. \"Oh!\" he exclaims, \"Pardon me--er, I didn\'t see you there. Good evening,\" he says. \"Er, yes, yes, I was just talking to myself there. Don\'t you know the family, miss?\"
Flossie\'s eyes blink for a moment and perhaps her cheeks get a little rosier than before, though this might be the illusion resulting from the fight between the bright warm light from the windows and open doorways and the shadows that were already getting darling with every minute. \"Oh, never mind, and good evening. Not that I was ever introduced, you know.\" She pauses. \"To the family, I mean. They are rich and all that. I am not really frequenting high society parties.\"
Boldibad puffs on his pipe as Flossie speaks, the chills of sudden surprise fading slowly away. \"Well,\" he replies, \"any respectable hobbit should, after all. The Hornblowers are very accomodating, you know. But, no matter.\" He glances down at the basket and attempts to peek inside, \"Collecting flowers, are you?\"
\"Flowers?\" Flossie first raises her both eyebrows in surprise and then laughs merrily. \"Why? What makes you think so? Well, then, I might really, but not this time.\" Her basket is indeed covered with a nice cloth with a merrily embroidered sunflower and it would not be easy to see the inside unless she moved the cloth away, which Flossie promptly did, not feeling a bit shy of the stranger. And in it you can still make out a vessel with some liquid, at least four more muffins carefully wrapped and something made of fabric - which glistens when the light falls on it.
Boldibad smiles, \"Well, lass, many of my young neices, way up in Budge Ford, fancy a little flower-gathering from time to time, so I simply assumed--\" his eye catches sight of the delectables tucked away inside the basket. He cocks an eyebrow, and licks his lips. \"But, it seems that you follow an interest that I, myself, take delight in--muffin-collecting. Haven\'t we been introduced? I\'m Boldibad Bolger of the Bridgefields area!\"
\"Nice to make your acquaintance,\" the lass smiles, though sounds a little stiff and markedly less lively when saying the words of formal character. \"I am Flossie, of the Goodbodies, and I live very close to here, in Pincup. I am here for business, you know, was detained a little and decided to stay till tomorrow, there, in the Tin Whistle.\" Flossie looks into the basket now as well, perhaps a careful watcher would notice the mysterious disappearance of the muffin in the right hand, right during the talk or maybe before of it? \"I am not so much collecting those inside, I planned at eating them somewhere in the open since it is boring inside and the evening looked promising.\"
\"Boldibad Bolger! Come back here with our napkin!\" comes a matronly voice. \"Oops,\" says Boldibad. \"Er, I\'ll be right back--would you excuse me, young Miss?\" He hurries back toward the plantation, pulling a big, cloth napkin from his waistcoat.
End.
