Aftermath with Arrowheads
A tale freshly told of the Mordain
Following the Orcish retreat from Iach Celduin: ah, the crudeness of Orc-healing.
Small House
Small yet cosy is this dwelling a charming example of Barding decor yet barer than one might expect of a farmhouse. A few doors escape the main room to lead to various parts of the house, but the most interesting of which is a well trodden path to the kitchen. There a dusty floor is covered in footprints, though it is not immediately clear why this should be.

Out
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
With a dull thud the trap door that is cleverly hidden into the kitchen\'s floor flings open, followed by a wave of fresh dust that adds itself to the dirt there already. For a moment there is silence, and then something blaringly white and in direct contrast with the surrounding room surfaces--a horrid looking skull of somesort?
Soon though things begin to make sense as the object emerges, (now revealed to be but a crude helmet) followed by the scarlet-cloaked figure of the Shaman there is an evident struggle as Bagaglok pulls himself out of the grimy hole, and the black trail of blood that he leaves behind would be the reason why. As soon as he is up and out, the Orc pauses then, stooping with slight difficulty to possibly help another out from the tunnel after him.
[Mara(#22296)] Horse abandoned, the slight high priestess, hand clutching her wound, is barely standing as she is pushed and buffeted through the tunnel. She reaches a hand up to be pulled up.
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
And the slender hand is not left neglected the rough orcish one closes firmly, though not dreadfully tight, around the woman\'s. Trying at the same time to shift his weight away from his torn side, Bagaglok pulls with whatever strength he has left to get the priestess onto steadier ground.
[Mara(#22296)] The injured slight woman is lifted through the hole, cursing in Morbeth under her breath. \"Thank you.\"
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
A quick nod is given in reply, and then Bagaglok steps backward to allow the other more room in the cramped quarters. Unfortunately the small kitchen does not seem to possess a chair, and he disappears for an instant through one of the doors.
The goblin is not gone long, ere he returns with a rickety looking chair, and sets it down in the corner of the kitchen. \"Can you sit?\" he asks, yellow eyes roving quickly over the priestess. For now his own wounds are ignored.
[Mara(#22296)] The slight woman nods, her eyes starting to glaze over as she sits down, her hands still over the arrow wound. \"Those elves..\" She hisses, groaning.
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
The other\'s dark features grow slightly dimmer at the mention of the albai. \"Indeed,\" the uruk breaths, eyes narrowing as he casts a hatred-filled glare at the wooden shaft that protrudes from his own shoulder. But his attention for the time being is redirected to the woman as she takes the seat. The Shaman looms close now, as he peers down to inspect the elven barb that plagues the human. \"It is unfortunate the arrow could not have striken an arm or hand,\" Bagaglok frowns at the projectile\'s home in the priestess\' lower chest. \"Then it could simply be eased out the other side.\" Still, even that sounds unpleasant.
A black claw is sent to search in a hidden pocket in a fold of his robe, ere it resurfaces clutching a tarnished pouch. The small bag is opened and a vial of some brackish looking liquid is proffered for Mara to take. \"It will help mask the pain,\" rasps the explanation.
HEALING: You examine Mara thoroughly...
She has an untreated arrow wound.
You would categorize her overall current condition as poor.
[Mara(#22296)] The slight high priestess moans softly and then nods. \"Thank you, colleague. I am relieved that the training still goes through the ranks.\"
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
\"The sooner you drink it the better,\" replies the goblin, a nod replying to the woman\'s thanks. Then, when she has done this, Bagaglok moves quickly, knowing full well that arrow-inflicted wounds can oft be fatal, leading to death from either shock or poison as the glue and sinews begins to melt from bodyheat. But he works at the fast pace also for the overall benefit of his patient for the less she is aware the less hopfully she will feel.
If the priestess is able to remain fully conscious, then she might vaguely notice the rapidness with which the cold claws figure the area around the arrow, unceremouniously removing any obstructing cloth that might be in the way a white fabric is brought to help slow any bleeding, and another vial\'s contents are soaked around the flesh the arrow had entered. Then a swift pull is set upon the wooden shaft, seeking to dislodge the thing. A new coldness comes, though this time it is caused by a metalic device that resembles a small pair of crude pliers: to ensure that the arrow-head is removed.
HEALING: Mara has one arrow injury which you now attempt to treat...
Success! You remove an arrow from Mara without causing further injury.
Ah! Lucky you: the arrow is still usable.
[Mara(#22296)] The high priestess gasps, the pain overwhelming her, but perhaps the training they undergo in Nurn is worth something because she hasn\'t passed out yet. She pulls the mail away to make it easier for the Shaman to get to the wound.
[Bagaglok(#24847)]
And then it is over, and the cursed dart withdrawn. Placing this to the side for now, Bagaglok takes more of the black liquid and once more soaks the arrow-hole with it before taking some of the clean white material, dressed with paste, to wrap it around the lady\'s middle, over the injury.
That taken care of, the Shaman turns his hands to the arrow biting into his shoulder, and sets about tending to it following the same proceedure. That barb is likewise put aside. \"Wither shall we go now, if you are fit for travel?\" asks Bagaglok, peering around at the dusty room and the trap door. \"Obviously the dwarves and Men would be aware of this place? Either way it does not seem safe to linger in for a great length of time.\"
HEALING: You administer some aid to Mara...
[Mara(#22296)] \"I can...we must flee to the south. They can only pursue us so long before the reinforcements catch up,\" Mara says softly. \"Thank you. It is important that we continue to do the Dark Lord\'s work.\"
