Chamberlain\'s Residency
The Royal Chamberlain\'s office opens up to some four hundred square feet. At the left side of the room cabinets line the walls, the few that are open show many volumes and scrolls. There is no dust upon it\'s shelves as you can guess the proprietress uses the information they contain frequently. The floor is made of oak and polished to a dull shine.
A window that spans from floor to ceiling is inlaid on the far side of the room. A large U-shaped desk sits strangely facing the window facing out over Dol Amorth. Ornate, expensive drapes hang to the sides of the great window. A comfortable looking chair of a rich mahogany and soft fabric lining sits behind the desk. There are no chairs in front of the desk, leading to an assumption that those seeking the ear of the Chamberlain must stand.
On the right hand side of the room are several bookshelves filled. Their titles are numerous and varied and few have dust showing that they too are read and gone through often. In the far right corner, on the far side of the desk another chair sits in the corner facing out, three other chairs circling it facing the single chair. A small table stands next to each of the three chairs, a slightly larger one standing next to the single chair. It appears as if the Chamberlain uses these chairs for the more important of her meetings. Also on the right is a hearth that provides the room with warmth during the colder evenings and weather. Upon the mantle of the hearth are several candelabras and two sconces that sit aside the rock ledge. At the center of the mantle sits a richly engraved box, designed with a golden dragon on the lid. Two crisscrossed swords, one designed for sport and one designed for war, are set over the hearth.
Several paintings line the spaces on the walls throughout the room filling it out without taking up much space.

Night has fallen completely, the moon already on its way towards the horizon after reaching its apex, but life is still evident in the castle. The door to the chamberlain\'s chambers stands wide open, inside the hearth ablaze and the Lady Gweneth collecting objects from around the room and putting them into packing crates. Books, parchments, ornate boxes, and even clothing though where she stores it is quite a mystery. She moves slowly, her eyes red and tired, her lips pale matching the color of her skin. She pauses frequently to rest, but her tasks are taken up again after only a few minutes.
Cautiously approaching the cambers Drenlyn knocks on the open door as he takes a step into the room, \"Excuse me my lady but....\" Stopping suddenly, Drenlyn stares at the crates strewn about the room, \"...I have been searching for you...I ask my lady, whence do you go? I have heard only rumors, but I have learned to disregard them until truth is found.\"
Gweneth pauses midstep, a warm smile flitting across her lips, \"Young squire, it is late. Should you not be in bed instead of worrying about the rumors on a tired old woman?\"
A frown appears briefly on Drenlyn\'s face as the Lady Bragollach says these words, but it is quickly replaced by a smile. Bowing Drenlyn retorts, \"Begging your pardon my lady, I do not sleep for I worry for the lady, and not the slipshod rumors that are spread about her.\"
\"Worried for me?\" Gweneth smiles to herself and she continues to pack, \"It seems your words are sweet, being tested or no. Well, for my brief stay in the houses of healing, it was enough to get me back on my feet. Now I am to leave ere the dawn back to my families keep on Tirith Cobas.\"
\"Yes my lady for you, for I feared you took a hurt when I came upon the crowd Men Ernil. Much was I relieved when I heard it was only a fit of fainting, though I do not doubt that the event may excuse such a response.\"
A tender smile grows on Drenlyn\'s face as he looks carefully at the Lady of Bragollach, \"Indeed I was most distressed when I heard that you were to be put under guard and be holed up somewhere.\"
Gweneth moves from the crate and back to her bookshelves, her fingers running over their spines, reading them quickly, \"Distressed,\" she casts a quick look over to the squire, \"Why would you be distressed at that? It seems far outside the providence of a squire to worry about my dealings with the House Imrazor.
Frowning, Drenlyn eyes Gweneth carefully, \"It is indeed far from my place to worry about your dealings with the House Imrazor. I simply feel sadness that a lady of your rank would be so guarded as a prisoner, and be forced to remain in any place, be it of your choosing or not.\"
Despite her worn appearance, just manages a light giggle with Drenlyn\'s words, \"And you came here, in the dead of the night to tell me this, young squire? Surely not? There must be a more pressing matter on your mind to bring you here now.
Drenlyn\'s face turns down at the Lady\'s question, \"I came to tell you that, and give you my sympathy. I also came to offer you what service I can, and to ask a boon.\"
The lady raises her brow, \"A boon?\"
\"Yes, my lady, a boon, for though I can offer little to you as a squire, I would ask that you would give me something.\" Drenlyn raises his eyes and stares directly at the lady, \"I ask my lady that you would teach me the language of the Numenorians, for I have sat in the library, and grasped what I could of their people, but I feel that my understanding would be furthered by learning their way of speech. I simply ask to be a pupil, nothing more.\"
Gweneth wrinkles her face in amusement, \'Oh, well, all right. Though if you wish a lesson any time soon, you must visit me at my home.\"
Gweneth wrinkles her face in amusement, \'Oh, well, all right. Though if you wish a lesson any time soon, you must visit me at my home.\" She smiles, a thought of fondness peeking out from behind her eyes as she glances towards the window behind her that displays now only stars and blackness, \"The view from my room there surpasses even this by...\" a pauses, \"By much. It will be good to go home again for a bit.\"
\"Then I will indeed visit you at your home, for I am eager to learn that language. But alas, as you have mentioned now, it is late, and I must depart for my duties leave me much time for sleep. I will send you word if I come, or I will come before word reaches you. Farewell my lady, and may your journey home be pleasant, and your room more beautiful than you remember it.\" With that Drenlyn bows low and departs with a smile upon his face.
