==Description==
Fair indeed is this whipcord-lean man, but his plain black raiment and aloof manner invite no empathy, and give few clues as to his origins. Of middling height and slender build, the mystique of grace and menace that attends him in equal parts is mesmerizing. He is clearly one born to command, and to instill fear in lesser men; and doubtless, all others are lesser men.

Shining hair of shadowy black flows to his shoulders in starry unshorn waves. Features of classical, artful proportion frame a generous mouth; they are marred only by a vicious scar over his right brow, extending across one high cheekbone. His eyes are grey and cold, and gleam with relentless intelligence and awful immediacy.

His clothing is that of a traveler or hunter, though all sombre black. He is likewise hooded and cloaked in sable, and his tall horseman's boots show signs of hard use. At his throat is an odd brooch; a copper wyrm with eyes of jet, devouring itself. A heavy sword hangs at his right side, and a dagger rests upon his left hip.

==History==
Captain of the Black Company, a highly feared and elusive band of horsemen who operate throughout Gondor. It is whispered that Finlachel is of lordly strain, that he has many secret bases, and counts allies among commoners and nobles alike. Fear is his weapon as surely as his deft blade; his men both love and dread him, and no-one knows his true tale.
