Was there really a murder? Or is a little .. ahem, poetic licence involved? Perhaps the perpetrator of these lines needs a little practice in writing verse in the Mannish idiom? The wind off the lake was heavy today and blew Reen the Basket Seller's stall into a farmwife's veggie cart. Warin traded a fresh caught trout for a smashed pumpkin, gained a new title or two from Brev (like "Bearer of the Leaky Load"), and then wandered off with Rhircyn the old Beggar to find someone who will trade cooking and a night in the stables for their fish and squashed squash. |

What's more, I can tell you what Warin said. Did you hear it? No? As I recall, he said he was emissary to the Eagles and then claimed they'd led him to golden treasure! Or something like that. He definitely said he was the keeper of golden treasure.
What gives a layabout like him the right to something like that? Way I see it, someone should force him to confess where it's hid! |

The wandering ex-blacksmith Rhircyn came across a nomadic elven woman by the name of Lauarien this evening. They exchanged few words, though she revealed she still feels a debt to Men. Rhircyn speaks of her to any who will listen, describing a woman in simple traveling clothes, though with patterns of vines and leaves throughout. |

The following little ditty has been heard recently round town:
Murder in the Market Square Of one who direst deeds did dare: The rain dripped down, the blood ran red, Within the mirk a Man lay dead. A fearful fate - yet fully earned For on his fellow Men he turned: With heavy hand did healer pound And strike her, struggling to the ground. Her stalwart guard, a stubborn shield Stepped in the way and would not yield. Till Watchmen wise, their weapons drawn Brought an end to brainless brawn! Was there really a murder? Or is a little .. ahem, poetic licence involved? Perhaps the perpetrator of these lines needs a little practice in writing verse in the Mannish idiom? Help him if you can! Those wishing to know more about events might do well to seek out the Girion guard ALGER and his lady wife, the mercurial healer AILITH (played by Thorald) |
