| Did you hear, House Taurdain is planning some fancy trip to Celebannon? Apparently Lady ISOBEL was to discuss it with the Steward, and I overheard her husband, Lord BREV, talking about it with one of the scholars. AETHEL, someone told me his name was. The fellow was fairly falling over himself with eagerness to visit Elves - as well he might, I've heard they do some right fancy magic! Wouldn't mind seeing it myself! Supposedly Lady Isobel was inviting representatives of every House and Guild - do you reckon the likes of me could wangle a place? Maybe it's worth a try.
What? No, they didn't say why they were going. Some noble whim, likely. Either that or they've decided that this year they'll go begging for food /before/ the winter turns bad. Here, do you think we're in for another bad winter? | |

| The towns folk near the gate are a buzz with gossip it seems which spreads through the city itself.
Lady A.: Wonder what his angle is with that healer.. Person B: You mean Gerik that lord of Kareth Lady A.: That's the one he's always hanging around that healer and holding hands and I've heard they kissed even. Person B: Oh you haven't heard? They are an item have been for months and what's more... yesterday they left out of the gate towards the lake side with a picnic basket. They pause for dramatic effect. When they made it back through the gates though? Isleen was wearing a ring on her finger sure as anything! Lady A. You mean they got engaged!? Person B. They did they weren't hiding it or anything, that will be a fun party that when they do get married! | |
