Lasbelin is of Silvan elvenkind, more specifically the Duinedhrim, River Elves, of the Greenwood. Along the banks of the Taurduin she is a skilled crafter of wood, while in the halls of Amon Thranduil a swift messenger. On foot or on horseback, she can get word where it needs to go.

Description

The way this tall elleth carries herself is careful and curious. Hair of a darkened gold, bordering very nearly on that of crackling brown, falls halfway down her back. The strands in front have been woven together into loose braids, pulled back with the top layer into a low tail, held fast with two strings of silver ribbon. Blue-gray eyes hold a transition of seasons, much like the long clear sky of fall resisting the clouds of winter. What skin is bare to the elements has seen its share of sunlight.

An undershirt of tightly woven gray is worn under a tunic of a rich red, not unlike the hue of falling leaves. The sleeves halt just past her elbows, cut at an angle, while silver stitching has been crafted along the hems and neckline. A soft leather jerkin, dark brown, is worn over the first layers and belted in place. Tiny silver thread decorates this as well. Her legs to clad in breeches of a light brown, of which are tucked into sturdy leather boots, lacing up to just beneath her knees.

History

Given to her parents on the ending of summer, Maethalasbelin - "to fight the autumn season" - was born the year following into the changing colors of the Greenwood trees. She became the first child of Ylfamdir and his wife, Iavasael, the former a vintner and the latter a crafter of wood.

Following in the steps of her mother, the elleth took up crafting as well. Even with the working of wood beneath her fingers, and the trees drawing her towards a further interest in hunting, the waters of the river Taurduin have called a bit of moving curiosity in her. She has turned such curiousness into a quickness on her feet, delivering messages swiftly here and there in Amon Thranduil. Her other interests have kept her from pursuing this to any significant degree, yet.

Barely under a thousand-and-two-hundred years, Lasbelin remains close to her family among the Duinedhrim. Long they have called the shore of the Taurduin their home, since before she learned to walk among the water and trees.
