A
- Adhlacoir: n. Undertaker, one who processes and buries corpses.
- Amadan: n. Fool, one of low intelligence or acting therelike.
- Amhas: n. Wild Man, Man who is wild or crazy :)
- Annrach: n. Stranger, One who is not from Dunland or the locale of the person using the word.
- Aoire: n. Shepherd, One who tends a flock of animals, most often sheep.
- Ard-feailley: n. Chief Festival, the most important of Kiern's festivals.
- Ard-righ: n. High-King, present title for the ruler of Dunland elected from the council of Ceanni. He controls all of Dunland as a strong Monarch and has the power of Kiern and the clans behind him. From a religious stand point he is the male representative of Kiern in Middle-Earth.
- Ardceile: n. High Priestess, the woman that is in charge of the faith of Dunland. She is the true representative of Kiern in Middle-Earth. She also organizes religious ceremonies and festivals.
- Armail: n. Weapon, Any instrument of offense or defense.
- Armur: n. Armor, Arms used to defend, protect the wearer.

- Baillidh: n. Magistrate, a person who serves the Champion or other such authority. Magistrates roles can vary greatly from sage to warrior based on the situation.
- Bodhaig: n. Body, The trunk of an animal; main part; a person
- Braheyder: n. Betrayer, one declared an outlaw for activites counter to Dunland.
- Broish: n. Stew, soup with bread, vegetables and meat. Local delicacy.

- Caile: n. Barmaid, Serving wench, a maid that delivers food and spirits at an Inn or Tavern.
- Callair-seabhag: n. Falconer, one who trains birds of prey for entertainment or practical purposes such as hunting.
- Caomhnoir: n. Guardian, One who guards, Someone who has taken charge of an orphan or ward.
- Capull-moddee: n. Horse Handler, one who trains and tends horses.
- Ceann: n. Chieftain of a clann, head of one of 4 extended families that rule Dunland.
- Ceathairne: n. Citizen, common folk not of nobility residing in Dunland
- Ceoltoir: n. Priest or Priestess, One performing religious functions, and are trained in such arts as healing, teaching, and diplomacy.
- Clachair: n. Stone-mason, once who works the art of stone for defense and building, as well as art.
- Coyrlagh: n. Advisor, The title bestowed upon the one who serves as the counsellor to the Ceann of their clan.

- De: prep. Denoting source, possesion. relation to or about
- Deirthair: n, Priest, a Deirthair is a caste of Priest who fight. They are all men.
- Derwydd: n. A man or woman of great knowledge. They are learned in the ways of the secular professions: Bard(scholar, composer), Starai(historian), Taidhleoir(diplomat), Minstrel, and the Eiridin(healer).
- Dilleachdan: n. Orphan, a child whose parents are dead or lost.
- Drummeyder: n. Drummer, person who produces a rythmic beat from a pot, kettle, or other various objects.
- Dun: n. A fortified place. Each Ceann or Fian has a dun. They can be as large as a village or just a small keep. This is the name sake for Dunland, or the land of walled villages.
- Dunael: n. Name for the language spoken in Dunland, adj. Term used to describe aspects of Dunlending culture or language.

- Eiridinn: n. Healer, One who cures or mends a wounded or sick being.
- Eirinagh: n. Farmer, a provider, one who brings subsistence from growing crops.
F
- Faidh: n. Prophet, one who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of Kiern is expressed.
- Fian: n. Clann noble, can have any occupation within dunland, are either noble by birth or given the rite by great honour.
- Fiodoir: n. Weaver, one who makes cloth.
- Foidheach: n. Beggar.
- Foraoiseoir: n. Forester, One who tends and harvests trees from forests.
- Forgoil: n. Literally meaning 'Straw-Head' it is the inpolite and slanderous term for the Horse folk of Rohan, immortal enemies to the good people of Dunland.

- Gabha: n. Smith, One who works with metals
- Gaisdair: n. Trapper, one who lays traps for animals.
- Gaisgeach: n. Champion, a hero or protector.
- Geall: n. Acolyte, A man or woman in training to be a Ceoltoir or priest/priestess. On their quest to learn to understand the ways of Kiern they are forbade to enter into marriage however until they finish their learning.
- Geard: n. Guard, protector, sentinel or escort
- Griasaich: n. Cobbler, one who makes or repairs shoes.
- Grudair: n. Brewer, the maker of ales, meads and beers.
I
- Iarla: n. One of the noble Fian that has been granted a dun or land from the chieftain to take care of in his/her stead.
- Iarunn: n. Iron, A common metal found in the Dunland.
- Ionroir: n. Polite form for the horse folk of Rohan. A synonym of the more slanderous forgoil.

- Kierdaght: n. Journeyman: one who practices the art of his craft with full skill under the occasional direction of a master.}}
- Kiern: n. God, This is the supreme being in Dunael lore. He represents everything to the Dunlending people from the seasons to nature. The name is often used in oaths and pledges to give them a more powerful pledge.
L
- Laoch: n. Clann warrior, the term used for a Dunlending man or woman who formally offers to protect and fight for their clan. A Laoch follows the orders of the Fian and Ceann at times of war, but continue with their lives when their services are not requested.
- Lorgair: n. Tracker, Person who follows a trail or trace of someone, or something.
- Luibheolai: n. Herbalist, one who collects and prepares herbs, generally for medicinal purposes.

- Maistir: n. Master, one who has sufficient learning in a certain area to become eminently skilled in that area.
- Maitear: n. Bounty, price or bond used as a reward for the capture or knowledge of a fugitive.
- Meileach: n. Thief, person who steals.
- Mianadoir: n. Miner, One who harvests metals from the earth.
- Mir: n. Member, Person in an organization.

- Naomh: adj. Holy, something sacred.

- Pasheyder: n. Ceramist, Potter One who works with molding clay.
- Printiseach: n. Apprentice, One who is indentured to a master to learn a trade, an art, etc.

- Realgaipe: n. Hunter, One who stalks and kills animals for food and/or pleasure.
- Roimhe: adj. Formerly, previously, before now.
- Ruagaire: n. Outlaw, one who is not accepted either by their clan or by the general society because of deeds done.

- Saoi: n. Worthy Person, A person who is has committed generous acts.
- Saor: n. Carpenter, One who works with wood to create structures, furniture, items or value, or art.
- Scabhta: n. Scout, A person sent to obtain intelligence regarding an enemy.
- Seanchai: n. Teacher, Person in Dunland who either teaches others languages and reading or some one who trains others in the arts of war
- Snaidha: n. Shaper, Sculptor, one who shapes materials.
- Stiobardh: n. Steward, or Warden. One who oversees the care of a person, or place.
T
- Tarnadair: n. Tavern Keeper, One who tends to the needs of the tavern and it's patrons.
- Tiarna: n. People who have served as either a Ceann, or the Ard-Righ himself. Yet, for one reason or another they are no longer holding that title. It is a title signifying power, and giving honor to those that have ruled either a clan or the entire nation of Dunland. A person who did not leave the position with honor, meaning they were ousted from rule or some other negative factor caused them to leave, they do not gain the title and privileges of Tiarna.
- Tradalai: n. Trader, One who makes their living from bartering and selling their goods to others.

- Varshyl: n. Preceptor, Person who leads the Order of the Deirthairin both war and prayer. He who commands the King's bodyguard and Gatekeepers of Kierkgard. An advisor to the King.
Y
- Ynseydagy: n. Youth Scholar, a scholar who has not attained the status of Loremaster.
- Ynseyder: n. Trainer, One who trains other in weapons.
