This is intended to be an easy reference list for new players (and old).

Communication Commands

p user= This is for paging a user p nob=Hello!
= This will allow you to talk on your default com (or channel). =Good morning.
,channel= This is used to talk in any channel (including your default) ,bree=What's up??
+com channel= This is an alternative to the above. +com bree=Hello.
+com/on
+com/join channel
+com/leave channel
+com/list
+com/who channel
The commands to see which coms you are on, and to join or leave others.
+os Use this command for OOC chat in the room you are in. +os Who wants to set?


The semicolon and colon work with the above commands as explained below.


Environment Commands

+time This will list the current in-game time and date.
+timeframe This explains the in-game timeframe.
+breescene This gives the time and weather in Bree.


Mail Commands

The commands for the mail system and the bulletin board system are much the same.
+mail Tells you how many message you have, and if any are new.
+bbscan Shows new posts to any boards that you are able to read.
+skim
+skim boardname
+skim lists all the mail in your inbox.
+skim breeboard lists all the posts on that board.
+read #
+read boardname #
To read a message or post. Do not use the # symbol. +read 1 not +read #1
+mail user or boardname=title This will start a message or post to the chosen player or bboard.
+toss Erases your message or post entirely.
+proof Shows you what you have typed so far.


To send a +mail or post:
First type "+mail name=Title" and hit ENTER.
Before every paragraph, type a dash: -Hello, George.
When you are finished, be sure you have hit ENTER one last time,
and on a blank line type two dashes to send. --



Roleplaying Commands

 : The emote/action command. Putting this before a pose will prefix your post with your character's name. :smiles.
Bilbo smiles.
 ; This starts typing directly after your name with no spaces. It is used for possessives. ;'s hand.
Nob's hand
\\ This command will show exactly what you have typed, without anything appended at all. \\It was a dark and rainy night.
It was a dark and rainy night.
@emit This is an alternative to the above command, and does the same thing. @emit "No," he said.
"No," he said.
%r The equivalent of Return or Enter. If you type two of them "%r%r", you will have a blank line. "Hello!" %r "Anyone there?"

"Anyone there?
%t Tab


Note: Both %r and %t also work in mail and bboard posts, as well as other coding.
