l Dungeon Cell

You are in a small dungeon cell. Through a small barred window high above you, a stream of light falls during the late afternoon. On the opposite wall is a heavy door, made of iron. A small grate in the door allows you to see outside. Near the bottom of the door is a small hatchway, which can be unlocked from the outside and through which you may receive food. There is a wooden bed covered in straw, and a metal bucket for use as a chamber pot.

Elendor time is: Early Morning (about 8 AM ) on Highday of Winter - Yule 2, 3011

Analdin walks cautiously into the cell, his face emotionless. \"Commander?\" he says quietly, \"I\'m supposed to take you out of here...\"

Ravenwyr lies curled up on the floor in something like a fetal position, one hand beneath his head. The past nights he had been suffering from terrible nightmares and slept but little. Now he\'s exhausted and does not awaken when the door is opened.

Analdin moves in a bit closer when Ravenwyr does not awaken. Touching him lightly on the shoulder, he says a bit louder, \"Commander?\"

The man jerks awake and sits up suddenly, backing off from the man who woke him, \"What?!\" It takes Wyr a moment to blink and focus on Analdin. His hair is dirty from perspiration and the little bit of dried blood at the back of his skull. Raven raises his hand to rub at his face but belatedly remembers his hands are bound when the chains rattle, \"What day is it? Is it time?\"

l analdin

You see an intelligent-looking young man, barely out of his teens, with short dark blond hair, and deep blue, almost black eyes. You judge him to be about six feet tall, maybe more. Although his face sports a determined look, there is an ever-present boyish twinkle in his eye. His arms appear a bit more than slightly muscled, as a blacksmith\'s do, from hard work. A black glove conceals his left hand. A pair of well-shined black boots are part of his Minas Tirith Guard uniform, as well as black trousers, surrounded by a black belt. His armor is covered by a black tabard with the silver embroidarded crest of Minas Tirith, the familiar White Tree and Seven Stars. An air of purpose surrounds him like a light mist, though there is also a puppyish look about him.

Analdin jumps at the prisoner\'s sudden movement. \"Sir, I am supposed to take you out of here.\" he comes a bit closer, and tries to help Ravenwyr to his feet.

The sound of chains rattling against the stone floor seems loud in this small cell. Ravenwyr shifts his legs akwardly, preparing to stand, \"Valar... so stiff and sore.\" He nods his thanks to Analdin for the younger man\'s help to stand... he needs it as he is not entirely steady on his feet. After a moment, Wyr nods again, \"OK. No objections from me. I\'d rather go to Hell than spend another night in here.\"

[Analdin(#4309)] A small smile comes to Din\'s face, though it leaves quickly at a thought. \"Alright then, sir,\" he opens the cell door and leads the prisoner out, into the small light of the passageway.

Analdin exits the cell.

Analdin has left.

Ravenwyr goes slowly, his balance none too good.

out

The door opens with a faint metallic grating noise.

From outside, Ravenwyr exits the cell.

Tower of Ecthelion - Dungeon

A long row of cells strethes out before you in this dismal hall. Dark is it, for the air is clean and well ventilated, but there is little light save for the few torches lining the walls. The floor is remarkably clean and scrubbed, whether by prisoner\'s hands or by guardsmen is not known, and there is little of the rubbish which accompanies most dungeons. The cell doors are sturdy and built of the strongest steel, and though they are ancient and well worn, their strength is not to be question. A small and narrow window is set in each door, and so may somone look into the cell and gaze upon the wretch contained therein.

Breathing a sigh of relief, you head up and out of the dungeon and into the brighter places of the Tower.

Citadel Guard Hall

You stand now in the Citadel Guard Hall, the headquarters of those men dedicated to the protection of the Steward and his family, and the patrol of the High Court of Minas Tirith. A long room this is, narrow in width, and many men are here at all times some resting from a long day of duty, and others waking refreshed for the beginning of their shift. Along one wall is set a row of sturdy bunks upon which men are seen to be sleeping and resting, while on the other wall there is lined the weapons and armour used by the Citadel Guard. There are no windows here, for this room lies below the Tower itself and is a sub-level of the fortress, but the many flickering torches serve to light the hall and all that is within. At the end of the room is a small door, from which many men pass to and fro, for it leads to the buttery. A row of steps lead up and down at the opposite end, downwards to the dismal dungeon and upwards into the splendour of the Tower.

You head up the stairs and into the Tower of Ecthelion.

Tower of Ecthelion - Entryway

Whether the mind be complacent, active, or merely idle, it is hard to escape from the symmetrical beauty of the Tower of Ecthelion. The high vaulted ceiling soars up and up leaving a dizzying imprint in the mind as vast carven pillars seemingly disappear into the sphere of the ceiling. Few windows are about, and the light here is wan given forth from sparse torches held in sconces along the walls at intervals. Many labrithine passages meet in this entryway and there is a hustle and a bustle about at all times. Here you see two set of steps, virtually constantly travelled. One leads upward to those higher levels in the tower, while another, less transversed descends into the lower halls of the tower.

Yet what draws the eye are the mighty doors which lay imbedded in the western walls. This are huge and imposing. Cut of mighty stone they are carved with detailed reliefs on the surface. To either side, stand a pair of guards, flanking them and barring any who might seek to enter against the will of the Steward of Gondor.

Tower of Ecthelion - 2nd Floor Landing

Here on the second level of the White Tower of Ecthelion, the air bustles with activity. Servants and courtiers, lords and ladies, all move about with ease and grace befitting a land so proud and illustrious as Gondor. And yet there is a sense of decay in the luxuriously resplendent walls, bedecked with tapestries depicting far off lands and ancient tales long since forgotten, though you know not why nor how feeling only perhaps the age and history of the surrounding halls. Many doors stand in either wall, all deeply stained and carven, with some open and some closed, while others hold a heavy traffic of men and women passing to and fro. The rug upon the floor is plush and richly woven, and the paths of all are lit by shining candelabras wrought of silver and gold.

Tower of Ecthelion - 3rd Floor Landing(#1713Rnt)

You peer up the long spiral staircase to the top of the White Tower itself, the very pinnacle of Minas Tirith. This staircase is made of the same flawless white stone, with rough hewn steps. The steps are expertly leveled and flush, so there is no need for a handrail, something which is conspicuously absent. The wind howls from the outside, but it does not bite or chill you, as the Tower provides ample protection.

Ravenwyr coughs and leans against the wall, lacking the support of his cane. He tries to skim a hand through his disheveled hair but it\'s too much trouble.

Analdin looks at Ravenwyr again, his face no longer a mask, but full of mixed emotions, not the least being concern. \"Is there anything I can do for you, sir?\"

Ravenwyr shakes his head, \"No, not really. I\'d rather not fall on my face and look an idiot but that\'s about it. I doubt they\'d allow me to bath and change my uniform.\" He frowns.

The bound man stands quietly waiting, collecting what thoughts and strength he might hold against the coming inquisition.

Analdin nods silently, and turns back to the door, waiting for something or other.

Analdin looks at the door once more, and turns back to Ravenwyr, \"Okay, let\'s go in.\"

Council Chambers

A rather large round room with cold stone walls, and the ceiling is high and vaulted with brown-stained beams running along the length. The walls are covered mostly by hanging tapestries, all seeminly ancient in design, depicting scenes from the past of both Gondor and Numenor. The center of the room is dominated mainly by a circular table, large and well polished, and upon it a detailed image is inlaid. All the lands of Gondor, and those adjacent, appear graven into the wood at the center of the table, and the lands and rivers are painted in stunning detail, and around this map the table returns with smooth and polished surface. Deeply plush chairs surround it, and yet one is larger and finer than the others, and it sits before a tapestry more detailed than all the others upon it depicted a huge White Tree surrounded by many stars, the sigil of Minas Tirith. Against the wall, for the purpose of providing refreshment during long councils, a small bar is set, and it is well stocked with a variety of glasses and decanters.

Analdin has arrived.

Athorun enters the room a few moments after Imrahil, and bows first to his Prince and then to the White Tower. He makes his way to his seat wordlessly, and, seated, turns to gaze upon the prisoner as he is brought in.

Ithilir places a hand carefully on his sword, and stands ready.

Imrahil rises at the entrance of the prisoner and looks at him with his sea grey eyes.

Boromir moves now to the side of Imrahil, standing upon his right with hard eyes, watching. Grim is his face as Ravenwyr enters, but he makes no speech as yet and watches only.

Analdin enters the council chambers, leading in the prisoner.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir rises as well and pushes back his green cape - the mark of Anfalas and then sits with sureness.

Grimaldi slips outside the doorway, perhaps looking for late arrivals.

Grimaldi has left.

Ravenwyr carefully walks into the Council Chambers just behind Private Analdin. His normally crisp demeaner is soiled, his tabbard torn and boots scuffed as if from a scuffle. His silvered black hair oily from persperation and fallen into his face. Despite the confinement he tries to look alert and skims the room as he comes to a halt where he is lead. Seeing his Lords, he stiffly half bows, \"M\'Lords.\" Wyr holds his hands down infront of himself, still bound in chains.

Boromir turns to a waiting page, a wizened old man with hair silver-grey in sheen, and from him he recieves a long oaken rod, inlaid along the length with patterns of gold and silver. Taking this rod, he turns about to face the crowd, eyeing the prisoner, Ravenwyr, long, and then he slams the rod upon the stone floor. \"Silence!\"

Athorun consciously places himself deep into the plush chair, and props his elbows upon the majestic carven arms of the chair, steepling his fingers as he gazes silently upon the gathering.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir is silent and merely looks with a hawkish gaze at Ravenwyr.

Ennorath has arrived.

Ennorath is an IC Male Human Gondorian

The Commander coughs, but otherwise stands silent waiting. Raven looks from Landromir, back to the Prince and his Captain-General from dark smudged eyes.

Grimaldi has arrived.

Grimaldi is an IC Male Human Gondorian

Boromir waits for a time until silence reigns over the room, and then his voice is raised in speech. \"Today you have come, lord and lady, soldier and coutier, to witness the trial of one Ravenwyr, Citadel Guard of Minas Tirith. By the authority granted unto me by my father, Denethor son of Ecthelion, Steward of Gondor and Lord of this city, I call this proceeding to begin at once. Let the scribes proclaim the charge: Treason against Gondor.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] A slight murmuring stirs about the room which quickly dies.

Grimaldi steps back inside the chamber, leading an elderly lord by the arm. He ushers him to a seat and then resumes his place by the door.

Imrahil looks on impassively at Ravenwyr as Boromir speaks.

A brief whisper of muttering passes over those assembled. A bright red haired young woman sits stiffly near to the front with a newborn child in her arms. A young man in his teens is with her, watching both the bound man and a second child on the bench next to him. Seeing her husband, Lynnithia bites her lips to keep from calling to Raven.

Telendunestal has arrived.

Telendunestal is an IC Male Human Gondorian

Boromir motions now to Imrahil, \"Judge in this matter shall be Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth, who by fortunate happenstance resides now within this city. Wise is he in matters of lore, and his sight is clear. An impartial lord is he, and the prisoner be unknown to him save in what tales have yet been told. Let none question his wisdom in this matter.\"

Imrahil rises and looks to Boromir to see if he has finished.

Telendunestal quietly finds a seat in the back.

Ravenwyr looks towards Imrahil as that Lord is named judge. For some reason this causes Wyr to frown where he stands but he does not speak.

Boromir inclines his head to Imrahil as sign that he may begin, and so he sits into the chair behind him, laying the rod upon his lap and watching with interest.

Ennorath moves to stand behind his Lord-Prince Imrahil. A look of grave concern fills his face as he looks about the room at all gathered.

Analdin stands silently near the prisoner, face impassive, but eyes a whirlpool of mixed emotion. His stance is one of calm readiness.

Imrahil says in a deep voice that echoes in the chamber, \"With grevious heart have I been ordained to this task in this city far away from my own land. But yet, I will do the bidding of the Lord Steward and with full assurity look upon this matter with open mind - this is my word I give. Let us be seated.\" Imrahil sits after shuffling his cape behind him.

Athorun neither moves nor speaks, and so still is he that he could be a statue were it not for the movement of his grey eyes over the occupants of the room, and the occasional blink.

[Boromir(#15204)] The crowd of folk which fill the room now sit in a rustle of sudden movement. A murmur or two may be heard faintly from some, but otherwise silence hangs over all like a cloud.

Imrahil says, \"Is there one among us who shall present the case of Treason against that of Ravenwyr of Gondor?\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir rises, \"To this task I have been ordained.\"

Carefully, as he is none too steady upon his feet without his cane, the Commander Ravenwyr takes the seat at the end of the table provided for him. He glances over the room and sees his wife.

Imrahil nods to Landromir, \"Then with full measure present it, and pray take heed, how you impawn our person, how you present the facts - with full religion and truth.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir nods, \"Aye great Prince. That I shall.\"

Ravenwyr turns his head away from Lynnithia and his children to look towards Landromir in suprise.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir begins, \"Long has my heart been in doubt over the Commander - truly he is a most trusted guard of the Citadel, yet there have been incidents which can be directly linked to him.\"

Boromir\'s eyes brighten momentarily as he looks upon Landromir, and he leans forth in his chair with an eagerness unhidden and mayhap unwished for.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"Firstly, the attempted robbery of the woman Selind on Lampwright\'s Street a fortnight prior.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"Second, the finding of a body on the Third Tier, with evidence where on can be linked to the one called Ravenwyr.\"

Ennorath stands straight and tal lat the mention of Selind and her grievance.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir continues, \"Thirdly and most seriously, the attempted arson and assassination of the Captain-General in the White Tower!\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Several ladies present gasp at the mention of arson.

Boromir\'s eyes harden and grow dark at mention of this attempt upon his life.

Lynnithia shifts uncomfortably on her bench as the charges are read off aloud. She hugs the newborn to her protectively. Beside her, the boy Rhiforath looks anxious as well.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"It is by this means that I have been assigned by my Lord Boromir to investigate these matters, and the truth is woeful indeed.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"For it is beyond any doubt that may strike the impartial mind that this Ravenwyr is in fact a Southron who is a spy among us sent by the Enemy!\"

Ravenwyr sits stiffly, a slight frown upon his dark, scarred face, but he says nothing until bid. He sits straight as tired muscles will allow and listens. Only his eyes narrow as he watches Landromir and hears the charges.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir continues, \"Therefore, I shall present this case with a clarity that will strike home in all your hearts and how you may know that we need to rid our land not only of the foes without, but the foes within!\"

Rhiforath stands up, hot tempered and shouts, \"That\'s a Lie!\"

Lynnithia grabs the lad\'s arm and drags him back down, shushing him.

Imrahil looks at Rhiforath, \"I call for order or you shall be ejected from this judgement.\"

Ithilir tenses slightly, but makes no move.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir turns on his heels ignoring the brazen comments, \"I call Ennorath, of Dol Amroth.\"

Ravenwyr casts a warning look to Rhiforath, his adopted son, a moment as his wife gets the lad settled down. Wyr licks his lips and looks to Ennorath, trying to relax for the hours to come.

Telendunestal shakes his head in disbelief looking over to his old Commander and comrade in arms, then back to the person uttering such obsurdities.

Ennorath steps forward and nods.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir turns to Ennorath, \"A forenight prior the Lady Selind was assaulted on Lampwright\'s Street. It is known beyond doubt that you were the valiant man who saved her from her would be assailant. Can you describe the assailant?\"

l ennorath

A dunedain of youthful vigour in mail hauberk covered with a tunic of blue stands with a stout ash spear in hand, and bears an anket at his side. Bearing the semblance of his ancient predecessors, Ennorath shames not their memory. A helm of ar-borang is set upon his head covering his short brown hair. Flying from his spear are the emblems of a silver swan upon a white background with silver trimmings. The same marks adorns his tunic. He stands tall and proud. Currently, he wears a long brown cloak that drapes from his shoulders concealing his sword and scabbard to some extent. Boromir\'s face is stern and hard as he looks upon the face of Ravenwyr, and he is unstirred by the young boys outburst, which spoke in favor of the prisoner. Rather he seemed not to heed any call or cry, impassive and uncarring as a cat resting in a ray of sunlight. And yet his eyes display a measure of interest in what proceeds before him.

[Ennorath(#25529)] Clearing his throat, Ennorath speaks up in a loud voice that echoes throughout the chamber,\"Aye..I can describe him enough.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir crosses his arms, \"Proceed with celerity.\"

Analdin glances at Ennorath, his gaze full of what may be described as hope. But he quickly returns his gaze to the prisoner.

Ennorath says, \"He was a swarthy man enshrouded by cloak and he bore with him a knife and cane.\"

Imrahil nods and picks up a black and silver cane with details of mumaks and other strange beasts from the table, \"Is this the cane?\"

Ennorath says, \"His features of his face were however shadowed by his cowl, but his hands and arms revealed enough of his complexion.\"

Ravenwyr shifts slightly where he is seated to glance over at his raven\'s headed cane that Imrahil presents.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir points to the cane, \"Aye, a swarthy man, as like a Southron! And the cane, is that the one?\"

Athorun just looked at you.

[Ennorath(#25529)] Turning to look upon the cane, Ennorath nods his head and replies,\"That cane it is, and the man looked to be Southron indeed.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"Note my lords, that this is the cane of Ravenwyr and was the one held by the assailant.\"

Imrahil nods but his face is impassive.

Athorun needs to only glance at Ravenwyr\'s hands before his black eyebrow arch and he looks quizzically at Imrahil, though he says nothing.

[Boromir(#15204)] A shocked ripple runs across the crowd.

Ennorath says, \"I would like to add another note, if it pleases the court.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir turns to Ennorath, \"Yes?\"

The late morning light drops to pool golden and warm throughout the room, a lie for the cold and bitter winter weather without. Bright splashes of silks and cottens paint the room with those gathered here today. Ravenwyr continues to listen quietly, saying nothing unless spoken too. He does glance down at his own dark hands, many of his fingers missing their tips or more from old frostbite.

Ennorath says, \"The man I saw was a good half-foot taller than this man accused. Unless by some deception that he may have made, I swear by Uinen\'s grace that this to be true.\"

l me

Ravenwyr(#14510POXeA+Ncf)

Wyr is IC

This man stands around 5\'10\" in height and is lean of build with rather bronze swarthy skin and sharp features for a Gondorian. His eyes are slate grey with thick black hair combed back with his fingers to fall over his shoulders. Silver hair glints at his temples and above his right ear where a deep and puckered scar runs from his hairline to his chin. Another twists like a snake through his dark lips. His hands too are mauled with parts of several fingers missing or gone completely. You would be inclined to judge this man to be in his forties, perhaps.

He is clad in a crisp black and silver tabbard of the Minas Tirith Citadel Guard. The breast of the tabbard is the silver embroidared White Tree and Seven Stars crest of the City. On his right shoulder breast is the embroidered silver shield and black winged helm of the Fourth Company which he commands.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"My thanks, good man of Dol Amroth, your word is impeachable, that I am sure.\" Landromir nods and says, \"Next, there was a body found on the tier. Next to the body was found this gem.\" Landromir picks it up and holds it before Ravenwyr, do you recognize it?\"

Ennorath nods his head and then steps back behind his the Prince.

Again Rhiforath stands up and speaks out, the young man\'s anger too much to contain, \"It wasn\'t him! Landromir himself claimed to have been with the Commander in his Office at the time of the attack on the Lady!\"

Lynnithia looks agasp at Rhiforath, tugging at his sleave but looking hopefully at the Lords and her husband.

Grimaldi steps forward as the youth speaks out again, ready if called upon to eject him from the chamber.

Ravenwyr inclines his head after glancing at the gemmed ring, \"I do. That is the ring Lord Sirion Sema gave unto me. He was a friend and honorable man.\"

Imrahil holds up his hand for peace.

Analdin casts a glance at Rhiforath, a hint of something undecernable in his eyes. His gaze turns quickly back to the prisoner, watching his reaction.

[Boromir(#15204)] Rage erupts upon the face of Boromir and he half-stands to his feet, calling out in anger, \"Silence the lad lest he be removed to sit without, where he may trouble us not with such outcries.\"

Rhi looks frustracted and sits abrutly, suddenly abashed at startling the two babies. The boy infant cries soflty until Lynn sooths it.

Falstaff has arrived.

Falstaff is an IC Male Human Gondorian

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says, \"And this gem was found verily on the ground next to the body. The very gem which did belong to him and was given to Ravenwyr. Truly, as the boy says, Ravenwyr that day had told me truly to tell the Steward that I was with him in that hour. But yet as I have told Lord Boromir, I was on patrol that day as the records can attest.\"

Glancing at Rhiforath, Wyr keeps a blank face only write with a touch of concern for his family. He says nothing more except that which he was asked. He shifts his right foot and remains seated.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir turns to Boromir as if for confirmation.

Falstaff enters and sits down to watch the trial

Grimaldi ushers Falstaff to a chair in the back of the chambers. He gives him a stern look for arriving so late into the proceedings.

Boromir nods his head in assent, speaking up for all to hear, \"It is as Landromir says.\"

Ravenwyr blinks, hearing Landromir change his story.

Athorun\'s eyes narrow as he regards the young Princeling\'s enflamed outburst, but says nothing, sitting calmly in his seat of honor.

A flush of anger brings some of Raven\'s more normal color back to his face as his infamous temper flairs. He glares at Landromir, first suprised, then watching the man carefully anew. His own dark grey-ish eyes slip to Boromir before returning to the Private Landromir. Something makes Wyr\'s guts twist, looking at the arrogant young man. The urge to stand and object leaves him like a windfall... it would do no good.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir now sighs and continues, \"Last we have the most grievous charge: that of arson. Five days past an attempted fire was set by a lowly man of some underclass - of low blood and couth. He was unfortunately killed but we had found a letter on his chilling body. This letter, I had brought to the Lord Athorun, who is reknowned in such matters under star and moon. I call forth the Lord Athorun Girithlin.\"

Rhiforath perks up, being a scribe himself.

Athorun grips the sides of his chair and pushes himself from his plush seat. Being in a seat reserved for the Lords of Gondor, he is not far from Imrahil himself, and he bows before him. \"Hail, Prince Imrahil.\" he says in his gravelly voice.

Imrahil nods his assent, \"Lord Girithlin, I pray you to justly and religously tell what you may.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir asks, \"What, read the parchment?\"

Athorun turns to the court, and from his deep purple rich surcoat profers a piece of parchment, \"All questions regarding this parchment I shall answer dutiflly and justly, my Prince.\" He turns to Landromir, and he frowns slightly as he addresses the man, \"Ask your questions, Sir Landromir,\" he grates slowly.

The handsome little red headed woman, somewhat Dunnish looking, shifts the quieted babe in her arms, watching nervously. She seldom takes her eyes from Ravenwyr except to glance at Rhi to make certain the boy is not doing anything foolish.

Athorun unties the ribbon he had placed around the scroll, and slowly unfurls it in front of him, and he gazes upon it for a moment, straightening it out before beginning to read it.

A whisper of movement or voices fills the otherwise silent room as the parchment is indicated.

Ravenwyr\'s own eyes flicker to look over at his wife, Lynnithia, and his children. He remains quiet and watches them as the elderly Lord reads the damning scroll he hasn\'st yet seen or heard of.

Athorun reads slowly and clearly in his deep voice, \"For a sum of one hundred florins of gold: the firing of the White Tower,\" he pauses, \"And the guarantee of the deatl of Boromir son of Denethor.\"

[Imrahil(#10108)] A man of the city leaps up from his seat after hearing the words and cries, \"Death to the Southron!\"

Imrahil motions to the guard, \"Remove that man!\"

Ravenwyr flinches, looking towards the outburst.

Ithilir begins to draw his sword and advances.

Boromir\'s face pales and his hands grow tight upon the edge of the table before him.

Imrahil holds up his hand, \"Peace!\"

Analdin moves into a slightly defensive position in front of the prisoner.

Ithilir quickly resheathes the weapon, seeing that the man is unarmed, and that Grimaldi is already there.

Grimaldi moves forward quickly to stand next to the man who has cried out. Setting his hands on the man\'s shoulder and grabbing his arm he ushers the man out of the chamber, firmly but without undue duress.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir says ignoring the stirring, \"And have you compared this to Ravenwyr\'s own writings?\"

Lynnithia almost looks like she would have stood and cried out but this time it is Rhiforath that takes her arm and keeps her distress silent.

Imrahil now holds up his hand to Landromir and looks intently at Athorun, \"And what have you found, my most learned lord?\"

[Grimaldi(#17969)] After sending the man away Grimaldi reenters the chamber a moment later and resumes his post at the doorway, this time scowling at any who might glace his way when they hear the door close.

The bound Officer turns his head to look over at the scroll and the Lord reading it, attempting to slow the racing of his own heart. Wyr licks his lips again and takes a slow breath. Raven looks as though he might say something, but forcibly keeps his mouth shut, listening.

Athorun nods slowly, and replies after a brief moment. \"Yes, I have compared the script of the accused and of the scroll. I have compared to great extent the wordings of writings by the accused and the wording of the scroll. Simple wording, and to the point.\" he looks down to the parchment, \"They all match.\" He then feels the parchment with his hands, and states, \"And furthermore, the parchment is of northern Gondorian mint.\"

Ravenwyr opens his mouth, then shuts it, shifting in his chair, angry.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir then asks, \"Have you found aught else?\"

Athorun frowns, \"What else could there be, Sir Landromir?\" he asks simply.

l Council Chambers

A rather large round room with cold stone walls, and the ceiling is high and vaulted with brown-stained beams running along the length. The wall is covered mostly by hanging tapestries, all seeminly ancient in design, depicting scenes from the past of both Gondor and Numenor.

Boromir runs a hand along his chin in thought, his grey eyes darkling as a winter night, his hands griping tight the rod laid across his lap.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir asks, \"Have you found anything strange with the wording or lettering?\"

Athorun does not look back at the scroll, but answers somewhat impatiently, \"As I stated, the lettering and wording all match that of the accused. If you are seeking to stir sentiments within the court regarding the accused\'s birthplace, I\'ll not be a part of it. I have spoken my part.\" He turns to Imrahil and bows, \"If my Lord will permit?\" he motions subtly to his chair.

Although he is listening, the Commander Ravenwyr looks at the polished and inlaid table top... upon it is depicted a detailed map of Gondor and her surounding lands with details of terrain and rivers painted brightly. He seems to study it, or perhaps his thoughts merely wander as the proceedings go on. Only the faintest clink of the chains binding his hands can be heard between the Lord\'s words.

Imrahil nods but says, \"Nay, for it may be in part something of relevance. This I need to know to make judgement. I direct you Lord Athorun to answer the questions in brevity but in truth. What of the lettering?\"

Ravenwyr looks up at the mention of birthplace, stirred from his own thoughts enough to almost speak. As Imrahil goes on, Wyr pauses from what he was about to say, waiting.

Athorun frowns and asks, \"But my Lord, what more need be said? The lettering is a match to the accused - that it is stylistic of the South is of little import to a just trial.\"

Ravenwyr frowns and stands, speaking up for the first time, \"But I was neither born in the South, nor learned my letters until I came to Minas Tirith.\"

Imrahil nods and says, \"Yea, perhaps, but even so, if it is of the South then it may be surmised that whoever - be it the accused or no - was a Southron - maybe.\" Imrahil nods to Landromir.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Landromir sighs and asks rhetorically, \"A parchment of Northern Gondor in a script of Southronic origin in the hand of the traitor. Truly this is damning enough. But yea my lords, there is more, for now we shall look into the traitor\'s life in brief it may be, but clearly it shall show things that will futher reveal the evilness in which he lived.\"

Boromir growls low in his throat, flashing a look of warning to Ravenwyr, \"Be silent! Thy time of speech shall come in time, but for now the words of others take precedent.\"

Hearing Landromir, Ravenwyr visibly stiffens now and frowns. He glances at his Captain-General Boromir and licks his lips before stiffly inclining his head in acknowlegment and retaking his seat.. The Officer returns his attention to Landromir.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir begins to pace the room slowly now, his voice rising loudly now, \"To those who know not, it shall be made public now, that upon some time in the not so distant past, this man, Ravenwyr who stands now accused, was taken captive and bound, and so dragged within the very teeth of the land which we so abhor: Mordor--I beg the lord\'s forgiveness in the utterance of such a foul word here.\"

Imrahil folds his hands before him, studying the hawkish visage of Landromir - the curved nose - the features of a man from Anfalas.

Telendunestal shakes his head at the treatment given to Ravenwyr, his simple country upbringing not preparing him for courtly procedings such as this, he slumps back in his chair his arms folded across his chest.

Lynnithia hugs her infant son to her busom, trying not to cry. Rhiforath tends the one year old girl child, keeping Nithwyn on the bench only with concentration.

Ithilir\'s hand tightens noticably on his sword.

Imrahil looks at Ravenwyr, studying him slowly and with patience.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir continues in a voice dry and unimpassioned, \"There it has been told, he was tormented without respite, until his mind was shriveled and laid bare. A man no more. And so did the Enemy work His treacherous webs, placing evil in the mind of this man when he could fend not for himself. No longer was he of Gondor.\"

At the mention of the Dark Lands, Wyr looks very uncomfortable. With effort he does not figit, but sits up straight... but still a shadow of a pained expression taints his face with the wash of memories unbidden as Landromir continues.

Ravenwyr\'s breathing is slightly elevated as he listens tensely.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir\'s voice rises now and his words come quicker and with some measure of anger, \"And he was released from bondage, but he came not to Gondor. Nay! He came not to that land which he claims as his home. \'Twas in the ruins of Osgiliath, there when war gripped the land as ever it does, that he was found. Captured in battle, where he fought not the servants of the Nameless Land. Nay! He fought beside the foul orcs and maggot folk, against the men of Gondor, whom he slew with reckless abandon.\"

Falstaff is shocked by this information.

Imrahil sighs at the thought of Osgiliath, the fresh blood of his folk but lately staining the ruins.

Analdin stiffens as this is told, his eyes filling with a look of denial and disbelief, which fades rapidly, leaving his face blank.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir sighs and rubs a hand over his brow, speaking softer than before, \"And so in battle he was taken, thought to be one of the enemy, and verily it was so. But death found him not, as mayhap it should, and he was taken in secret here to Minas Tirith, and so entrusted to the care of the Healers who worked their leechcraft upon him. In time, his mind was said to be healed, and the evil that once grew there cleansed from him. And again he entered into the service of the Lord Steward, and so searved faithfully and with honour. Or so it seemed.\"

Closing his eyes and subtly turning his face aside and down, Ravenwyr\'s shame at what he\'d done is plain to see in his body language. His knuckles are pale, his hands gripping the chains that wrap snugly around his scarred wrists. Lynnithia\'s soft crying can be heard between the silences.

Falstaff shakes his head in disbelief.

Grimaldi glances over the crowd, watching their reactions as they hear of the Commanders torture. His own reaction is one of sadness at the thought of his Commander being held by the enemy.

Rhiforath stops tending his foster sister long enough to look startled at what he hears and looks at Ravenwyr as well, pale.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir pauses for a moment, looking to each and everyone in turn with hard eyes, \"And so I ask thee each and all, how came a man from the clutches of the Nameless Land untainted by the evil which dwells there? It is said that none may pass the gates of the Dark Tower and return again to the light of day, and yet he has done so. How, I ask, can this be? Does he possess a stuff sterner than any man of Gondor that ever was? Nay, that cannot be so, for verily his blood be impured with the taint of the Southern line. And so I proclaim this tale as proof of guilt in this matter. That the evil which once owned him has returned, or perhaps been awakened.\"

Athorun has disconnected.

Telendunestal looks back at Landromir\'s stare his own belief in his Commander unshattered even now.

Ravenwyr doesn\'t say anything... he does not deny it. Instead he looks at the tapestries that adorn these walls depicting Gondor\'s history.

Ennorath turns his gaze to rest on the accused... His eyes narrow in anger as he hears these words of acusation.

[Boromir(#15204)] Landromir turns now and bows to Imrahil, \"I have spoken all that should be said, Lord, and my words I declare to be true.\" And then he turns about and takes his place upon Boromir\'s right in silence.

Imrahil nods and then says to Ravenwyr, \"Rise Commander.\" He then looks outward, \"Who here may speak on behalf of the accused?\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] Soft gathered whispers spread throughout the crowd of people watching on.

It takes a long moment and several breaths after Landromir has completed his tale before Ravenwyr seems to gather himself enough to shift and sit up straighter, loath to look over the room for what has been said here. As the Prince Imrahil bids him to stand, Wyr puts his chained hands to the table to rise, then steps back a half step, alittle unsteady. The man glances over those gathered here today.

Rhiforath stands up, \"May I speak? I know I\'m just a kid, but I\'d like to say summth\'n.\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] A surprised look appears on Ennorath\'s face as he turns his gaze to fall upon the boy\'s face.

Imrahil nods his assent, \"Speak and say what you will child of Gondor.\"

Both Lynnithia and Ravenwyr look at Rhi in surprise.

Grimaldi glances amoungst the crowd, looking for someone to speak for his Commander. Seeing none else he steps forward saying, \"My lord. I have something I would say on behalf of Commander Ravenwyr.\"

Analdin glances a Rhiforath, a slight grin touching his face, then disapearing as fast as it came.

Imrahil nods to the guard, \"You may speak after the child has said his peace.\"

Rhiforath gulps, the lad of 14 years suddenly conscience of all the eyes turning to look upon him. His somewhat tidy clothes not his usual street-urchin looking attire that he normally wears. He skims a hand through his overly long black hair in a gesture reminicent of Wyr before he finds his tongue, \"Eh.. well, I guess ya who know me know I am Sergeant Dunirk\'s son. He was killed at the Siege of Pelegir...\"

Grimaldi nods his head and steps back allowing the child to speak first. Imrahil nods politely waiting for the child to continue.

Boromir runs a weary hand across his face, plainly eager for the trial to end swiftly, but he regards the child with passing patient, listening with half-lidded eyes.

The lad shifts his feet uncomfortably, \"When my father died, I was to be sent to my Uncle in the Pelannor.\" The boy hesitates, biting his lip and looking at Wyr, \"I know\'s I\'ve been alot of trouble to the Commander, but when he found out my Uncle beat me, he let me stay here in Minas Tirith.\" The boys hands writher over each other with his nervousness, \"I just wanted to say he gave me a place to stay and helped me get a job as a scribe for Guild Master Japhin. He ain\'t no cruel man.\" Rhiforath sits suddenly, his knees weak even with his sudden anger at this unjustice.

Imrahil nods impassionately and then says to Grimaldi, \"Guard, you have aught to say?\"

Ravenwyr looks at his adopted son with concern, wishing the lad didn\'t have to deal with this. Despite the chains rattling, Wyr wipes his face with his bound left hand.

Lynnithia sits stone still holding Ravenwyr\'s youngest child. Her tears still linger damply as she watches her husband.

Grimaldi nods, \"Aye m\'lord I do. It is but a small matter but one that I deem may be of importance.\" Glancing over towards Landromir he continues, \"I mentioned this fact to Sir Landromir here when these charges were first discussed. He dismissed my concerns but I feel they should be heard by the court.\" Pointing over to Ennorath he says, \"It concerns Squire Ennorath\'s testimony.\"

Imrahil nods and tracing a finger across the table top says, \"Pray proceed.\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] Turning his eyes of blue to behold the speaker, Ennorath stands straight to listen.

Grimaldi nods and says, \"Well m\'lord, when the Squire first told his tale he included some facts that he did not mention today. He told the Captain-General Boromor that he gave chase to the man who assaulted the woman. Is that not true Squire?\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] Ennorath clears his throat to answer. With all eyes to him a bit of nervousness is shown in his tone,\" It is true. I did proceed to give chase but was halted at the command of my Lord who inquired to the alarm.\"

Ravenwyr looks at the young man who speaks, studying Ennorath. He glances at his cane laid upon the table.

Grimaldi nods as the answer he expected is given, \"And Squire Ennorath when you gave chase did the man have his cane then? And if the chase had been allowed to continue how soon do you believe you would have captured the one fleeing from you?\"

Ennorath turns his head about scanning all present and then sets his eyes upon the accused, saying, \"The man had dropped his cane before running, and I would have been able to catch him if he had not disappeared into a heavy crowd that day.\"

Ravenwyr blinks and almost laughs, muttering to himself, \"I can\'t bloody run at all.\"

Telendunestal has disconnected.

Lynnithia nods, looking at her husband\'s right leg and foot, the odd steal brace within his boot partially showing against the thinned and scuffed leather where much of his foot is missing.

Conscience of several people who know him well looking, Ravenwyr glances at his Lords without further comment.

Grimaldi nods once more, then thanks the man saying, \"Thank you Squire for your help.\" Turning to face Imrahil he says, \"You see my lord, this is important because I have trained with Commander Ravenwyr many times as he instructed me in the use of the blade. Quite simply because of the wounds he recieved in the service of Gondor he cannot run at all. Let alone dodge through crowds and elude a healthy young lad like Ennorath. Let alone without his cane.\" Grimaldi finishes his statement then suddenly seems to realize who is speaking in front of. Slightly stammering he says, \"Um....ah, that\'s all I had to add m\'lord. Thank you.\" With that he steps back to his doorway.

Boromir\'s eyes narrow as he looks to Ravenwyr and down to the crippled leg at his side, and he turns to Ennorath and looks to him as well, his brow furrowed with thought.

Imrahil rises and says, \"Peace and thanks to those who have come here to witness this most terrible trial, for indeed my heart is heavy. But judgement I must make and judgement I shall.\"

Telendunestal has connected.

Imrahil says, \"But first, I would hear of the accused.\"

Ennorath says, \"Might I add, good sir, that I was also preoccupied with the well being of the lady Selind and had little time to give chase....\"

Imrahil looks to Ravenwyr, \"Speak and we shall listen. Our ears are bent to your lips.\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] At Imrahil\'s words, Ennorath stands back behind his lord and is silenced.

Ravenwyr looks startled at Prince Imrahil, but as he is assured that he will be allowed to speak, he takes a deep breath and wets his lips. After a moment he speaks, the faintest lilt of Rhoirric still in his words as well as something else, \"Obvioulsy to the charges, I plead I am innocent. Someone is attempting to frame me.\" Wyr begins in his usual blunt forwardness as he gathers his thoughts but looks at Landromir a moment before looking back to Imrahil, \"When I came to Minas Tirith I gave my Oath to serve this land, our Lord Steward and the King who shall return. I had had hopes of seeking my foster father in Rohan, but it came to naught.\" He pauses to glance over those assembled, \"It matters little, but I -was- born near to Stowburg, but my true sire was Darbian of Ithilian, a man of the blood of Gondor.\" A flicker of some emotion passes his face, \"My Lord Denethor has told me he knew of this before even I came to learn of it.\" Wyr hesitates and squares his thin shoulders, \"It is true that I have Southron blood. My dame is a woman of the Narakshi Tribe.\" Chewing his lower lip, the Commander changes pace, \"But to that I owe nothing. I am Outcast and there a price is upon my head. Gondor is my home.\"

Ravenwyr continues, \"All that has been said here is false but for the last, about ... Barad-Dur.\" he swallows, tense and alittle sweaty, \"But I was detained in the Houses of Healing for overt a year and deamed recovered enought to return to duty. If any of that taint still lives within me, I know it not and would rather be put to death than serve it. I can prove nothing against what has been charged. I know not what to say.\" the Commander stops, glancing at his family with concern.

Imrahil nods and looks sadly upon Ravenwyr, \"Alas I hear your words and your story is sad to me, but now I must make judgement.\"

Imrahil rises and pushing back his cape says slowly, \"With heavy heart I must make this judgement. Many things were brought before us, and indeed, some of the accusations are questionable as the guard has pointed out.\" Imrahil pauses for a moment and continues, \"Yet it is clear that Ravenwyr is guilty, or strongly implied of guilt in the matter of the body, and even more gravely of the arson. Yea, also it is as Landromir spoke, Men who sally to the black land do not come back - or if they do they are forever bound in the will of the Enemy. By this, and the testimony brought before us I must condemn this man of full guilt.\"

Ithilir grasps his sword firmly, and steps closer to Imrahil.

Imrahil bows his head and then lifts it looking at Ravenwyr, \"These deeds are heinous ones, but for your punishment I cannot mete out to you. It is rather, my heart to give the choice of punishment to Boromir, son of Denethor.\" Imrahil turns and nods to Boromir.

Lynnithia holds her babe to her and stands, angry, \"No!\"

Telendunestal stands \"Outrage! Unjustice, he was not given his due...what false ruling is this?\"

Analdin appears on the verge of outburst at the announcement, but manages to calm down quickly enough to keep him from doing anything rash. His eyes, however, remain ablaze.

Imrahil seats himself and looks deeply at Telendunestal, his sea grey eyes lordly, a prince of men, \"Sit yourself or you shall be removed.\"

Ravenwyr\'s heart races painfully in his chest as the condeming words sink like a cold knife. He looks bleakly at his Captain-General, numb with shock.

Grimaldi steps forward as some of the crowd get unruly, although a single tear slides down his face he remains ready to remove those from the council chambers who cannot be quiet.

Several protest in the room, louder than some is Rhiforath, hands made into fists.

Telendunestal fumes with uncontrollable, \"Remove me to the gallows next then, for surely upon my oath as a guardsman this trial was a sham and farce and I don\'t care which Captain or Prince has to hear it!\"

Boromir stands now to his feet, his face dark and fell to behold as he looks to those who speak in opposition, and his words come dry and deadly from his lips, \"Quiet thy raging tounges, for the words of judgement are spoken! Let none question the ruling of Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth, who speaks now with full leave of the Lord of the city, my father, Denethor son of Exthelion.\"

Telendunestal turns his back on the Captain General and Prince and leaves.

[Imrahil(#10108)] Several men leap up, fully in the retinue of the Citadel guard and cry, \"Death to he that would kill our Captain!\" With sudden resolve they are silent at the words of Boromir.

Telendunestal has left.

Ennorath grips his spear and watches Telendunetal carefully.

Ithilir steps between the crowd and Imrahil, although he has not drawn his sword yet. As the crowd quiets, he resumes his place, watchfully.

Imrahil is silent and grim, his sad eyes looking at those before him.

Grimaldi watches Telendunestal leave without comment, instead he now turns to face those who seem to want blood spilt on the very floors of this chamber.

Boromir\'s eyes are hard as they follow the foolish man who spoke rashly, and his face is tense and grim to behold, and for a time he is silent. But ere long he raises his voice again to speak. \"A dark day this is. My heart is troubled, verily, for I do not love this duty so placed upon me. But neither do I shrug aside that which I must do. The judgement is made, for good or ill, and that I do not question nor doubt.\" And he breaks off briefly and takes a deep breath.

Ravenwyr looks at his own men, brethern to him in the Guard, or so he once thought as they lay accusing eyes upon him. Wyr stands unsteadily, pale and not looking particularly well. He says nothing.

Lynnithia is hushed by several near to her but their comfort she wishes not as she continues to protest. She cries out, \"He\'s served and given his life for this land and you throw him out!\"

Rhiforath sees steel drawn around the room at the continued outbursts and tries to grab Lynn to force her attention, whispering harshly with sudden boldness.

Boromir looks hard to Lynnithia, \"Silence, dame, else you shall be removed. Your grief is plain, but bear it still for a time until the doom of thy husband is spoken.\"

Boromir sighs and runs a hand along his brow, \"Thus with heavy heart, I must speak the doom of Ravenwyr of Minas Tirith. All here know the penalty for treason again the realm, and those who do not know shall be taught now. The penalty is death, swift and painless, but death nonetheless.\"

Ravenwyr breathes quickly, looking to go to Lynn but can not. He stands at the end of the huge table, dreading the sentance to come and only concerned for his family.

Boromir raises his hand now, silencing the murmors of shock, \"But I do not deem this man should die, for verily it may not be said in truth that these deeds were done by him. None know save him, and surely he shall not tell, and in doing so who would trust him? Nay, death I will not give to him, though my heart at once did wish it.\"

Lynnithia cries unabashed as Rhiforath tries vainly to act the man while he holds her, his silvery pale eyes angrily seething as he looks upon the Lords. Both of the babies cry at the noise.

Imrahil folds his hands in front of him as he looks to Boromir and listens carefully.

Ennorath turns to look at his lord\'s reaction taken aback at the light sentence given out to the traitor.

Imrahil is impassive and says naught for his hour has passed.

Analdin\'s flaming eyes seem to dampen a little, as he looks full of hope to the Captain-General.

The condemed Officer swallows, anger and pain in his chest warring on his face as he tries to keep some dignity and composure. Wyr looks to his commanding officer, Lord Boromir, his only hope that he can see now.

Boromir continues, \"Yet I am in doubt as to the course I must take. In judgement his guilt is named, and so by duty I must act upon it, and yet by what is said hither my heart speaks misgivings. I know not the truth of his guilt. But in safety he may not be left here untended, for if evil eats at him, as has been said, what other fell deeds may be done? I will risk no further danger to the men and women of Minas Tirith, who I am sworn by solemn oaths to protect. So I declare the accused, Ravenwyr of the Guard, be sent posthaste under guard to the land of Harondar in the South. Passing there in haste to the borders of our ancient realm, the Poros River, and so given to the desert of the land of the people which he so favors in appearance.\"

Imrahil nods to himself.

Grimaldi wipes the tear from his cheek as the Steward\'s son shows mercy to his beloved Commander.

Boromir runs a hand through his hair with a sigh, \"And if he be found again within the realm of Gondor, by sun or moon, may death find him swiftly. Thus is my doom declared, and so shall the scribes record and the heralds declare. Let the mercy of Gondor be noted in this matter, for any other man of lesser service to Gondor would be slain ere this day has passed for such charges.\"

Ravenwyr blinks, shocked at the sentance so uttered by Lord Boromir, \"But what of my family?!\" Wyr steps forward and nearly stumbles, catching himself on the edge of the table, \"Surely you can not send a women with young children into exile into the desert... please.\" He looks at Lynnithia, then back to his Lords, fearing the sentance is indeed as sure as death for him.

Lynnithia pushes Rhiforath away, \"You won\'t go without me, Raven!\" she sobs, almost hysterical.

Boromir looks blankly to Ravenwyr, \"I say nothing of thy family. No doom do I place upon them, who I deem blameless in all this. They may go whither they will, even to the land of Haradwaith to dwell thither with thee. Only they may decide upon such a course, to go or to stay.\"

Ravenwyr licks his lips, a striken look to Lynn, then back to Boromir, \"You must make her stay.\" He looks to Imrahil, \"If I might have but only one request, have her return unto her family in Belfalas.\" he ignores her protests.

Imrahil nods, \"She shall be taken back to Lamedon, to the fief of Isilrim whence her kin dwells.\"

Boromir slams the rod in his hands upon the stone floor, calling the trial to a close. \"Thereby I call this trial ended and this matter so resolved. Guards! Take the prisoner and see that my words are carried out, and bring word hither when it is done. Make haste and beware of treachery upon the road South.\"

Imrahil rises and makes ready to depart picking up the corners of his cape.

Ithilir follows Imrahil from the Hall.

Ennorath escorts Imrahil into the hall.

Lynnithia is taken from the room, Rhiforath assisting as she can\'t be quieted. The babies too handled with care.

Ravenwyr stands silent and stricken, watching numbly.

Analdin looks at the floor, and says quietly, \"Come on, sir.\"

[Ennorath(#25529)] With a clear voice, Ennorath cries,\" Make way for the Lord-Prince Imrahil...Make way!!!\"

Ravenwyr looks blankly at Analdin, \"My Oath is sundered.\"

Boromir turns and sits in the chair, his head in his hands as the other file from the room. Stricken is he, and he does not look up to any near him, as though he were alone in the room with none to trouble him.

Grimaldi opens wide the doors of the chamber, allowing all to leave.

Imrahil turns and bows to Boromir and then departs.

[Ennorath(#25529)] Amidst the chaotic bustle of people moving about,Ennorath motions his spear to clear a path.

Imrahil has left.

Ithilir has left.

Ennorath has left.

Analdin nods, looking up. The fire in his eyes reamins. \"Come on, sir.\" he repeats.

Ravenwyr nods as if dazed and tentively holds his hands out towards Analdin to help him walk. He turns without any further words to go where he is bid, quietly.

[Grimaldi(#17969)] As Ravenwyr is lead past Grimaldi he snaps his heels together and brings his mailed fist against his chest in one last salute to his commander. Then, unable to conceal his emotin he bows his head in his sorrow.

Analdin, helping Ravenwyr, exits the room, his head lowered to keep all from seeing the few tears streaming down his cheek.

The Commander is oblivious to the honor paid to him by several of his man, like Grimaldi. Ravenwyr goes where led as if his mind wasn\'t even there.

Analdin has left.

Ravenwyr walks out, head slightly bowed.
