Beornings - Trade

The Beornings follow a philosophy of not creating more then is required. This goes for harvesting, cutting down trees, hunting, and any other activities which require taking resources from the natural world. As such, they have little raw resources for trade but wood. The forest of Mirkwood provides a constant source of high quality wood which the woodsmen process and float down the Anduin river or other forest waterways as needed. They are also skilled craftsmen. Woven goods, baking products (especially their beloved honeycakes), carved wood (both for practical use and decorative), trained birds, and some wines are some of their products for trade. While it's true that they do not like dealing with outsiders as much as with themselves they recognize that they can not possibly produce everything that the culture needs to keep them afloat. Things like ore and manufactured tools (axes, pick-axes, carts, etc) are always in high demand. Despite being isolationalist they often like to trade information gleaned from the passengers going over the High Pass.
