| Who do you think was found was sneaking round the Training Yard at the dead of night in the freezing cold? I'll tell you who: it was young LOUSE with a dagger in her hand, looking rather frayed round the edges. Something else was frayed too - Sergeant LOREN's temper. He went out to confront the interloper with sword at the ready!
Fortunately there was no blood shed on the cobbles. Don't know what that pair said to each other but next time I glanced out, Loren was teaching that young vagabond the dagger. Must say, I didn't know he had it in him. Our upstanding sergeant is full of surprises! Do you reckon he has a deep dark past as a cut-throat? | |

| The other evening, yon minstrel DELLING was in the Fishtale - not playing for his keep as you'd expect (hmm, reckon he's come into the money?). No, he was lounging round looking bored. Someone must've thought he was looking a little too comfortable, for next thing young LOUSE was hanging round bothering him. She's looking a little thin these days, I must say. Still, she seemed cheerful enough and eager to show off her new cap, some fancy velvet number with a swan's feather stuck in it. Such airs and graces!
What she and Delling said to each other I didn't hear, but next thing that young varmint was walking away cool as a cucumber, wearing Delling's hat! And she left him hers, too (though if the man has any sense he won't have let it near his head. We all know that girl is crawling with vermin - ugh!). Wonder what that was all about? Master Delling's not one to give something for nothing, I know that much. /Very/ fishy. | |
