Gidon is about 14 years old. He has brown skin like most all Breelanders, and brown eyes; but his brown hair is nearly black and falls straight around his face. He is a thin lad, and very quiet, seeming nervous around people, especially strangers.
His clothing is worn and patched, but covers him adequately, save that in the summer he is nearly always barefoot.
Of his life, little is known; indeed there seems to be an air of mystery around the boy. His mother apparently is dead; his father is a hunter. The two of them live in the Chetwood near to the Midgewater Marshes, and few people have seen their home. What there may be of other family is unknown.
