Title:

Shop Assistant at Conwy's Goods; Squire to Lord Lorthrain of Girion

Description:

The youth that stands before you is a bit of a rag-doll. A mop of brown hair is let loose on his head, soft curls falling down into a pair of ambient brown eyes that shine like wet river-stones. A set of fine freckles is sprinkled across his nose, sometimes indiscernible from a bit of dirt occasionally smudged on his face. A pair of fair lips seem to be perpetually curved in a grin.

He is built like a birch tree: lithe, and maybe even tall for his age, which appears to be on the cusp of his teen years. A simple but presentable yellow tunic hangs too loosely upon his torso, and his brown trousers would sag below his waist were they not cinched into place by a weather-beaten leather belt. These are tucked into a pair of soft -- and silent -- dun boots, the soles stained brown from their constant commune with the earth.

History:

Born into the dark existence of the Underdecks, Tristan's early life is a bit cloudy. With his mother having passed away within the first few years of his life, the majority of his memories center around providing for himself in such circumstances, and often by slightly unsavory means. He was quick to develop a guileless smile and a silent pilfering hand, though this was not put to much use other than the taking of food or pennies from unsuspecting passers by. Despite his youth, a certain unflappability and daring has ensured his survival thus far.

It was only recently, at age eleven (so it is believed, at any rate), that he was taken under the wing of Saedera Conwy, in whose shop he works as an assistant. But it is also through this connection that he learned of his relation to Jamis, and thus the Taurdain family -- his direct descent, even, and it now seems that the boy's prospects for the future have taken a distinct swing in the upward direction. With the help of his newly found father, and in exchange for hopes of a future in the King's Men, Tristan now serves as a squire to Lorthrain of Girion.

But old habits die hard, and in a less careful moment, Tristan can still be recognized among some of the less respected company of his former world.
